Water with a couple drops of dish soap will allow you to move the entire decal as a single unit if needed... getting air bubbles out is a breeze also . Let it dry a little then remove the clear layer.
The clear transfer tape used here recommends a dry install but that's a great suggestion when a wet install is possible, usually with a paper transfer tape. Much easier to reposition wet.
I nice your from Ohio curious to know where do you fish at. I from Columbus Ohio and I also in the middle of a Jon Boat modification. And I’m interested in purchasing one of those decals not very computer savvy so if you can text me back on what to do I will surely purchase one.
Caesar's Creek and Eastwood Lake mainly, I haven't fished much near Columbus yet. Any places you recommend? Here is a link for the numbers: www.etsy.com/listing/1043626223/kayak-boat-watercraft-registration

How did it work in the water? Was it well sealed? Any leaks?
I'm happy to report there were no leaks! Boat was completely water-tight.
