These figs are so versatile and i don't think i'll get tired of them for a whileeeee music from epidemicsound awful shaky footage from me #lego #legominifigures
It's clear LEGO did the torsos / hands intentionally so this can be made. This might be the attempt of them to mix and match skin colors, but I think that's for the better in the long run. This gives everyone what they need / want and the special torsos with skin color can be taken from HP and SW. Best decsion that LEGO ever made and it's for the fans of LEGO, not franchise fans
Honestly the best part about this series is how easily any inevitable duplicates can be used for making such a wide range of fantasy or historical era minifigs
Not fantasy/ medival themed but the entire body of the paladin can be used to make a God Emperor Doom figure, just get a white cape, white hood and if possible Dr Doom's head from the original figure
I used the witch torso and legs for a rogue type character. I also did something very similar to you with the paladin, but I used the cape from the falconer. I think the dark blue looks really good. Also I finally found a use for the goat herder parts that were in my collection. I was already using the torso for a forestman heavy crossbower, but the legs, head and hood look really good on the halfling druid. I used the hood and cape from the druid alongside a dark green robe piece with the torso from the series 22 acorn boy to make a more cartoony druid to lead my forestfolk. I've only just gotten home from Walmart and I'm thinking about taking another bike trip back up to get more of these figures. Such a good series, and a great video!
Finally the vid I’ve been waiting for! Btw I’m creating and building a paladin faction also by using parts from the old crown knight faction (name might be wrong😅) I think the color scheme really fits.
On another video they showed that some of these have male and female heads, so I was already thinking of getting multiples, but adding in your custom ideas, I think getting a small army of these would be a great idea, the possible permutations seem almost endless, thanks for the inspiration!
I just got my pre-order sets of figs (I ordered 2) in the mail today. Unfortunately I don't have much time to play with them (I have to work a special overnight shift tonight), but I have Mon/Tue off so I'll get to them, then. I've been a DND fan since I was but a lad back in the 80s, likewise a fan of LEGO Castle (and Space and others... but of course). Seeing LEGO DND is a childhood dream come true. And the marriage of the two has really come through in this first CMF series. I'm VERY HAPPY for all the customization available with these pieces. However, I've got a bit of OCD when it comes to keeping CMFs together, which is why I ordered 2 sets, one to keep complete, one to play mix'n'match with. I'm sure I'll get triples and quads (maybe more) of some of the individual figs at some point. Your figs are all so creative!!! Great jobs all 'round. I prefer the yellow head versions though. Old school. That's me. Heh. I'm a big fan of what you did with the Tiefling/Tax Collector's purple parts. I'm going to steal that (and I already ordered 4x TC parts from PAB a couple days ago, yay me!). I have both the Vidiyo Dragon figs, and was thinking of making Red and Blue Paladins to go with this set's Gold, but would Tiamat frown at me if her Chromatic Dragonborns paladed for Bahamut? Yikes! Anyway, great video as always, thanks!
Hey thanks man and i hope you enjoy customizing them when you get the chance. These are SOOO much fun to experiment with and you'll definitely appreciate the little details in them more than I can.
Found almost all of them except for the tiefling, Dragonborn and the lich. I really gotta get my hands on that paladin because I love playing as a paladin when I play dnd
Great video! Cannot wait for the paladin army video, try the visor helmet on them, it looks amazing. The decorated red skirt piece from Szass tam looks really good on the queen from the lion knights castle (swap to white arms too).
It's not exact, but using the Dino Tail from T-Rex Costume Fan from CMF 24 is similar enough tone if you want to give your Gold Dragonborn a Tail. Not that most people are getting the Gold Dragonborn for the Dragony parts 😅
Fantastic video. Really opened my eyes for this cmf compared to originally only wanting a few for their standard appearance. Every fig here has at least 1 good part, that's rare
Another good combination for the dragonborne paladin is giving it the armor piece that has a stud in the back, grey Mando cape, black head and Reinharts helmet. It looks super cool with that combination.
Nice! You could definitely run a great D&D campaign in your castle world. Your setting is really rich and would have lots of opportunity for adventure!
I love this series and your creative ideas to expand it. Can’t wait to add more variety to my medieval layout. I am still torn between yellow and flesh tones though. Appreciate you showing both.
So much inspiration. Thank you! I got a whole box. Put one set in a display case and wanted to customize the other two sets. I am currently looking into combinations with the Agatha Harkness from the marvel cmf. I created a cool with using the body of agatha with yellow hands, yellow head number 3626cpb3216, the new hair piece of tasha the witch and some dark grey pieces for a staff.
With the first Viking that you made, in addition to swapping the legs for the barbarian’s, you can also swich out the arms for the yellow skin fig. The arms from the barbarian look fantastic with the new dwarf
Was going to make a similar video to this myself. Still might, but first I'll need to find the minifigures. Some really nice customs in here. love the purple sultan!
@@Goldfyre hey I mean Big Armor Dudes is half of the apeal of either Warhammer setting Also the green hood with antlers looks VERY close (if not exactly the same) to something the Wood Elves of WHF actually wear Also also awesome video and great customs as always!
I love the elf paladin/ knight made of the bard/ Dragonborn but tho everyone can do whatever they want in everything I’ve seen elves in they are incapable of growing facial hair but it’s still looks nice
I really hope we get to see more of the wood elves,Dragonborn, and blue dragon knights (going off of the shield) in your fantasy world! They are all awsome
Lovely customs, but damn, cape over shoulder pieces, not the other way around just hurt my eyes lmao (Btw. from which minifig are those legs that perfectly match druid outfit?)
Those are some great looking custom figs! I just had to pick up the dragonborn paladin, Tasha, elf bard, and barbarian last night. They make for some great extras in my village. Im definitely picking up at least 2 more paladins to use the front and back prints to make a small visiting minor faction!
Lol that’s funny I find this video after doing this past couple days, I now have multiple knights, one a human, one an elf, and the base dragon one. Then I also made a elf berserker with the dwarf pieces and made a dwarf bard
Love the new Blue Dragon Knight!!!! If you would be willing to, can you please turn the Tiefling around so we can see the back side of the mini fig? Also I would like to see the wings from the bird person if possible Thanks
I still like the Dragon Paladin best (you can make so much out of one CMF pack) - but Tasha is better than anyone knows. From rogues to archers to mercenaries, to using her arms with other torsos and the legs as well. There is no end to her versatility. I am honestly not sure how I will get to buy enough of everything to make all that i want to make =)))
I couldn't agree more. I thought I'd be happy with having 1 of every fig and then a bunch of the dragonborns but......... Now i want to pick up like 5 extra tashas and 5 dwarves lol
All of these coustoms were incredible i love the version of yellow and natural skin tone and i will defently be making some palidins and clerics withe the old black knights shield from the 80s
These look really fantastic Just a silly personal gripe, across all of fantasy and medieval fiction, there is a constant overuse of belts. When you really think about it, often, it’s just absurd how many belts characters wear - across their chests, multiple on their waists, and all over their arms and torsos. It’s the go-to when a designer doesn’t know how else to decorate a character. Like, on tasha’s character, I just wish it were brown leather vambraces instead. I digress.
Very cool customs! I preordered 12, I’m probably going to buy 24 more for customs. I really love these DND figs! The scabbard on the Tiefling is amazing, I’ve never seen that piece before! Is it OEM Lego or is it from a custom maker?
Unpopular opinion: when LEGO introduced more realistic fleshtones in the early 2000s, yellow figs should have been retired (mostly). LEGO City really suffers with the yellow lock. (And more lines/parts could mesh together better.)
Yeah i kinda go back and forth on this personally. I have always preferred the realistic skin tones but i still get that people love and are very nostalgic for the yellow ones. I think eventually they'll make the switch but i can't see it happening for at least another 5 - 10 years.
Great Video! @Goldfyre I know you advised against the Build due to the Cost/Rarity, But what Torso and Legs did you use for 7:45 with the Bandit Knight?
This MIGHT just be the best CMF of all time⁉️
Oh easily
nah, series 1 is just iconic
For castle? For absolutely sure, this is the closest we might ever get to a castle cmf series
Nono, this is the best cmf series
I think it is for sure
The Dragonborn paladin’s torso and legs work well on a purist custom era of the Wilds Hylian soldiers.
I love how your elves turned out to be. Clever part usage! I also adore how much effort you put into your videos! Great customs, overall!
Hey thank you so much!
This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for the minute the D&D set was released
The second i saw pictures of the figs online i knew this pack would be insane for making customs
Me too
I always eagerly await your minifigure videos. You have a real eye for details and you see possibilities I would never notice.
I agree, I was going to make this same comment. Just when I think I have a good creative imagination I watch his videos and realize I have none 😂
Thank you for including yellow head versions and how that opens up some options 🙏🏽
I had to :) ! I also tried to make them look as similar to the skin toned ones as i could.
It's clear LEGO did the torsos / hands intentionally so this can be made. This might be the attempt of them to mix and match skin colors, but I think that's for the better in the long run. I appreciate the yellow head options as well.
These minfigures is the coolest ever
At 1:05 I'd definitely swap out the hip piece for a plain light bluish grey one so there aren't two belts, very cool video!
Honestly the best part about this series is how easily any inevitable duplicates can be used for making such a wide range of fantasy or historical era minifigs
Dude these are sick! When I get the mystery figs I’m definitely going to try these out for my self
Thanks man! Yeah all of the figs in this pack are just so good to mismatch.
We want Part 2! Great Video!
Love The figs, Ive never been more exited to go broke
this is so real lol
@@Goldfyre yeah i went broke today 😅

I used the Bird guy body and the Bard leg pieces and the colors MATCHED perfectly it gave me like a lightly armored archer unit 😂💯
I love the crusader look of the dragon born knight torso definitely going to make a small army with those incredible parts
These are so good! These are definitely going to help me with my new castle army! Once again another great vid
It's seriously impressive how many good combos come out of these parts. Lots of good ideas in here that I'll try out.

Simple customizations but making these minis looks so great! Well done! 🎉🎉🎉
These turned out awesome! Fun to see all the combos youve made 😮😮😮

I like the skin tone more than yellow heads in my own opinion.
I do aswell but i just have wayyy more yellow heads in my collection compared to skin toned ones.
@@Goldfyre Same, I always have to buy them on PAB or Bricklink.

The elf assassin custom fig is my favourite that you made good job I love all your vids
Nice vid! Love the figs. 😊 Thank you for including the yellow head-versions as well, much appreciated!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed. I thought it would be good to have a version for both camps on the minifigure head debate lol

With the first Viking that you made, in addition to swapping the legs for the barbarian’s, you can also swich out the arms for the yellow skin fig. The arms from the barbarian look fantastic with the new dwarf
I tried it actually and wasn't totally convinced but maybe it was the other parts of the fig that i didn't like with those arms.
The elven paladin looks good, but his beard is bent because of his plate armor. That's the only negative of that minifigure.
i just bought 12 of the minifigs today, and this was exactly what i had in mind
