It could also be the power switch is dead as well. You could connect the PSU to the mother and disconnect the power switch and bypass with a screwdriver touching the two points where the power switch is connected to the motherboard to test.

If you’re going to do this consult a diagram, back in the day we used to use a paper clip to jump them, but you should honestly just buy one already preconfigured
Yeah so I haven't tested mine yet, but it shut off one day and won't power on. It's either my board or the PSU. I kinda hope it's the PSU. That's a quicker fix by relaxing the power cable that links to the board.

No. But possible when short circuit occurs.

Happened to me, RAM died along with mobo
so I did this on my psu and it turned on along with the frontal fans on my pc. When I plug it into the motherboard nothing happens at all. Does that mean my motherboard is broken?

My pc not turning on in my home but turning on perfectly in repair shop i fixed earthing problem in my home but still not turning on, i gave that motherboard to claim warranty they said it works fine no issues in the motherboard again he turning on my motherboard in front of me after fixing all the components it works perfectly in repair shop after that it's not working on my home
Check your power outlet and your electricity at home if it sustain balance voltage
same with my sister, try check ur placing of fan maybe the positioning cause of temp.
I just installed a new CPU and I got no display and I got red light on DRAM which is I know what it is but when I tried to turn it off it won't shutdown so I switch off the my psu like a couple of times every time I tried to test if I would get a display or not until my last which I remove the CMOS battery and the ram so I put it back it and switch on my psu and tried to open my PC and i got no power so I replicate your test with my fans plug in which surprisingly works just fine
check all the cables.
24 pin cable
8/4 pin CPU cable
GPU cable
I/O cables if connected properly and in right place in your motherboard.
Reseat:
GPU
RAM
You may missed something when you installed everything back. Red light on mobo means something is incorrectly installed or not properly installed (this is mostly the case).
Replacing the Motherboard is your last resort IMO.
Regarding the CMOS, this is a battery for your motherboard's Date/Time. You know when you turn your PC off, the time and date still runs because of this battery. I don't think, this will cause a PC to not turn on or no power at all.
Hey man I just transfered my pc to a new case. Worked just fine, but when i tried the usb port on the front with my mobile it kept ejecting and connecting. So being the stubborn perfectist that I am I thought that it was the IO usb cable not being in place properly. Well.. I pushed a little too hard and now the plastic on the outside surrounding the pins is broken on a side. Some pins were a bit bended, but I was able to get the usb IO in there. Since then my gpu just does not work. No lighting on the rgb, no fan spin and no video signal to monitor. Changed the pcie slot for gpu and still the same result. The cpu fan works, and 4 system fans work just fine. I'am gobsmacked how this could have happened while tinkering with the IO usb port.
Do you perhaps have any idea what it is? I'm a bit stressed out and worried that my gpu is broken. Buying a new MB would be alot cheaper. Thankyou so much for reading.
Can you still open the PC even without GPU? Use the built in gpu in the mobo. You can configure that in the BIOS. Also, check in the BIOS if the GPU is detected. Then when you start the PC using the mobo's built-in gpu, go to the device manager in Windows settings and check if your GPU is detected.
If detected, then try to uninstall/install the driver of GPU.
If not,
When you fixed the IO usb cable, the computer is off and unplugged in power outlet right? Just making sure you did not accidentally short circuit your Mobo or GPU. (this is not common but may happen)
Just to be sure,
Try to smell/look the GPU and Mobo for burnt chips or components.
If you can find/smell burnt chips, then it is possible that the mobo/GPU was short circuited.
It can be fixed, but you need to bring it to service center.
But before bringing anything to service center, try using your GPU to other PC first.
@@t.n.g sorry for the late reply. Problem was inside the MB. Replaced it and it was fixed.

Yes,and if it works like this but doesn't when it is connected to the motherboard then there is a fault at the motherboard,maybe some of its part or the wholo mobo is dead
Yes it does, especially if you trying to bypass the motherboard to switch it on using screw driver and it is not turning then that's it

Is it right after you turn the PC on or while you are using it?
Things you can check/update:
Update the windows.
Update the BIOS.
Update drivers.
Try using single RAM (if you have 2 stick or more)

I don’t this with a paper clip and my psu fan started to spin then stop a few seconds later, and when I connect it to my MOBO my mother board rgb lights up but my fans/fan rgb don’t and my next kraken cpu led display does half the nzxt load up animation then cuts off. I’m guessing it’s my psu that’s the issue? This is my first time building a pc and this has been driving me crazy the past few days pls help 😂😭
Its the same for me, psu fans do start, but stops after a few seconds
well come PSUs have a silent mode, so it would be normal for it to turn on the fan then shut off the fan without enough load to generate some heat in the PSU.

No, unless the components was short circuited. Better change the PSU to a better one. Make atleast 20% allowance of the max PSU power to your entire system.
@@t.n.g yeah one day I was on twitch and it just cut off on me and I smelled a little smoke coming from the computer so I unplugged it and it never came back on

Hello, hope you notice my comment. My cpu wont turn on, but last time it turns on and I can use the computer as normal, without shutting down itself. But when I turn it off, and press the power button, it wont turn on again. That's why when it turned on I am afraid to shut if off again 😟 I brought it to repair shop and it says its the motherboard that is the problem. Is it true? 😥

Hi, I'm following your instructions and the psu fan did spin for a bit, but didn't spin constantly like in the video. Same when i tried to power on the cpu, case fan and psu fan did spin a few sec but then stops. Is psu the culprit?
most psus have the fan on when its under load or reaches a certain temperature
It doesn't to be the 5th one, any of the black coz it's the ground then always green in one end
My nzxt 1000w psu short circuited recently, which is weird since it’s only 2 years old….

My pc buzzed then never turned back on after first boot up, im scared the psu short circuited and possibly damaged the motherboard
It also has no motherboard lights on so the psu is probably messed up

the buzzing does sound like it may have been a short circuit that either killed the PSU or kicked on the over current protect@@hollowphantom9042
Hi my computer will play certain games but most of time during gameplay of like Fortnite for example itll turn off pc and reboot do u think would be motherboard issue no overheating and i can watch youtube or play rocket league with no crashes so not sure sometimes amd software says graphic card pulling over 260 watts
can you post here the specs of your PC? this may also be a low powered PSU.

You can connect any two (3 or 5) to 4. IF you see it carefully 4 one is green wire and 3rd and 5th is black wire , so 4(green wire) can be connected to any one of these 3 or 5(black)

Yes probably, because faulty PSU, fan won't turn on if you do the process like in the video. If the mobo iss the problem, your pc won't turn on, sometimes when it turns on it will just automatically turn off, and you'll have errors like bluescreen or unrecognized USB or Driver
I hate A320 motherboards... it's just a waste for the money to buy it, it tends to break

Sometimes PSU becomes faulty and not able to give adequate power supply.
Better is to check with another PSU.
Cuz sometimes PSU fan still works.

I think that's the case with mine as well as soon as I connect my cpu pin (the one that connects on the upper left) pc doesn't turn on and the psu fan speed is also very low from the looks of it.
Same here. Motherboard gets juice enough to give cpu debug light. I plugged in pci to get it to go away and it all goes dead. Same goes for my gpu getting plugged in
@@tumulousleek4426 I'm sure you need more power psu, cuz of your gpu and pci.
Buy another psu with more power it, assume bit more than the current one.
And check your psu if it's ok then sell it to recover some amount or keep it as backup.
If you will keep it connected with GPU and pci plugged in, it will damage the psu.
@@RahulJha-rc8dt if you can repair it with around 200-300₹ then go for it or better go for a new one around 600-1k psu.
I too faced the same, I bought new one and it works fine now.
PSU around 550-700₹ life line is upto 1-2 years. Also, voltage instability might be the cause for me due to which my psu lasted for 1yr before showing Nakhre like gf.
Hi, my pc dont have display but fans are running, i already tried reseating ram, cmos battery, gpu , cpu and everyhjing but still no display
1. I'm assuming, you are using HDMI cable right? do you have another cable? If yes, try it. There are cases that the cable is the problem. Also try to insert the cable in another port in your GPU (if you have another same port available)
2. if you have a another monitor or TV with hdmi port (assuming you are using hdmi), try connecting to it. Just to rule out that your monitor is ok or not.
3. Try using the build in display/gpu of your Motherboard.
Another thing:
In most PC cases, there is a speaker for posting. When you turn your computer "ON" you will hear a "Single Beep" sound. Do you hear it? This will make sure that the computer is posting. (I just hope your case have a speaker for posting)

Lightning struck 3 months ago and my pc didn't turn on anymore, it just makes a strange hum whenever I plug it in. I tested the power supply and it ran the fans. I hope that only the mother board has died
Yea, if it struck *in* your home then get that checked out. If the power went out for a bit after lightning struck then probably ur generator just shut off for safety. And that "hum" might be electricity trynna escape
@@defautluser0 I bought a new power supply for the pc and even so the noise continues, I imagine that the motherboard broke because the pc does not start. i sent the motherboard and processor to the technician but he didn't give any clear answer, and i still don't know what is broken... being poor sucks lol
My motherboard is not getting power. I did this trick and the PSU turns on. Tested the PSU on two different motherboards and no power. PSU fan won't even turn on. Could it be the psu plug/ cord itself itself not providing enough voltage?

Is the other motherboard is working? I mean, does it came from a working PC? We just need to rule out the motherboard.
Initially, If your PSU is failing,
-your Computer turns on for some time then it suddenly turns off.
-Random black & blue screen crashes.
-Random Computer Crashes and Restarts.
-Display Issues.
-Freezing.
-Smoke/Burning Smell.
-Strange noises from the PC case.

@@bldking I took out a voltage meter and found some pins under-volted. I'm surprised that it didn't power up at all but that was likely for the best. There is an issue with the 24pin cable itself. Since it's semi modular... There goes that. Definite QC issue

hi, my pc is being weird. it turns on rgb fans everything spins up even the gpu. but the display never turns on and there is no data transfer from the ssds or usb ports. but if i plug a charger into the usb it will charge my phone but it won’t turn my keyboard or mouse on. and it won’t display video. i don’t have integrated graphics but i have tested my gpu in my friends computer i know it’s not the gpu
Try to reseat the RAM & other components, another monitor, clean your (mobo & cpu fan), check the thermal paste in CPU, try using other PSU. These might help.
@@t.n.g i think my moab has gone fried. i’ve tested every component on my pc and nothing seems to be broken or messed up. my only solution could be my board or possibly my cpu

@@penguwin2979 i wanna say it’s my motherboard. it shows signs of life but won’t give life. it powers up but won’t trasmit data. im buying a new motherboard on black friday and i’ll see if it works out. but i have tested my psu in another pc it does work. ram works only thing i can’t test is my motherboard leading me to believe it’s that. i’ll update you if i figure anything else out i hate having this issue it was out of the blue and messed everything up

it should if you do it right, you can buy one you plug into your 24 pin online, or you can look up a diagram online to make sure you're getting the right pins jumped

Ime the fans all come on wide open but no beeps no post no nothing and I've ruled out everything even disconnecting all the ram go to use everything but the mobo in a new build and everything works as it should
Psu is fine tested it, i remove all my ram no beep no nothing, my cpu is just idle, panel light is green on my asus board, other than that nothing just nothing.
I literally have the same issue no power to case no post but I was able to get it all to work once so now I’m stumped

@@kyngomez6516 last night I breadbord it and leave it like it is the whole night, remove every cable, remove cmos, I kept only the gpu cable and psu cable intact , today it just start on it's own when I press the power button, I don't even know what the problem is. Yesterday at our place a current line was fixed and we don't have power for around 4 hrs after that when I power up and try to login after password, it just shut down 4 times and then died. I couldn't figure out anything, I blame it on the current line and my bluetooth extension cable. The extension cable works fine on our sony TV Though🤷♀️
@@kyngomez6516 The PSU was working fine it was tested at a computer repair shop today and all the parts, works fine as of now. I still blame it on my bluetooth adapter extension cable crashes my computer twice before, I still use it coz I don't have a spare, now I am without bluetooth, I don't want to take the risk anymore.

I got a table pc . It no turn on . But my motherboard special launch button light up (the ram vga bios lights not blink)
When i press the IO up on the psu when voltage runs trough my processor display turns on for a sec , my motherboard logo and launch button too then asap blank out . I tried this stuff but dunno if i do it correctly , but not spinning.
I did this with my PSU and it worked, but when i put it in the motherboard, it doesnt. I switched motherboard with a new one and still doesnt work. The PSU works when i jump it, but not when connected to a mobo i dont get it

There are PSU that have a zero-RPM feature that results in the fan only spinning for a moment after the PSU is powered on. This still indicates that the PSU is functioning normally.

When I open it and remove ram then, again shows orange lighting and fans spins.please give me solution

What if my mobo cpu fan is still working but no beep, no display at all? My ram works fine.
Are your usb connection normal? I have the same issue here. I suspect the display port connector (DSUB in my case) from the mobo not running well. Just waiting for a good time to dissolder and replace it to the new one.
