Always check those hot rocks with intense gold sounds as I did find one last year that had gold in it. It stuck to the magnet also. You have to remember "Magnetic rock is from an iron background and also remember gold rides into town on the back of an iron horse.

Gday Nick, Well mate, it’s all good fun.A lot of bending for 3oz . Things are different to even ten years ago,but doesn’t matter .If that covers expenses well and good. A long haul to anything big these days by the look of it, and you guys know your stuff. Father and son trips are priceless. Cheers Greg

Thanks Greg, Nothing beats being out there with Dad for sure :) Not many bigger ones left our there these days but thanks to the price of gold you can still cover costs with all the small stuff :)

@@nickgordon9445 The far flung corners ,I guess are the best chance on any gold field now Nick. How many weeks did you do on this trip??.I spent a while in July last year in and around Dunolly and Wedderburn and just about every spot had old dig holes. It’s amazing where people get these days with 4WDS. Do you think you would have done the same gold tally in Vic over the same time frame?.Cheers Greg

I’d imagine the gold game is getting pretty hard in WA these days. So much has been taken over the years and less ground to go on.

It is mate, more and more people are out there now, no matter where you go you will always come across holes that someone has been there.
