I’ve never seen salvation like this. I’ve read it in the Bible, but coming from an extreme legalistic religion, there has been so much fear attached to my salvation. The way you describe the freedom in salvation, freedom from condemnation, is new to me. Thank you!

An excellent teaching. You came right back to the key elements of salvation: Repentance and true faith, believing in Christ. Faith is placing trust in and pledging allegiance to Jesus as King of my life. If one does that, one will see fruit in one's life, evidence of salvation. Salvation as a process, not a one-time event.

I really appreciated this video: you verbalized a struggle I've had with doubting Salvation because of the start of my journey with the Lord in the realm of legalism. In my testimony, I said basically "i grew up in a Christian home therefore I believe..because I know that I am a sinner and would have gone to hell without accepting Christ"
So essentially my faith started from a place of fear. It has not been until recent years that I have begun to personally experience a relationship with Jesus.
As you pointed out in your video of thinkers who ruminate; I would say this is me. Thank you for shedding light unto possible sources of my struggle. I want to be completely free from a checklist mindset (in general) and set free from any bondage holding me back from true freedom in the Lord..by the power of the Holy Spirit! I confess I've been struggling with confidence in the Lord and in knowing what my spiritual gifts are. I desire to be used for the Kingdom, but not sure how to exercise the gifts he has given me..which sadly leads to doubt of my salvation. I understand my need to continue to combat this doubt with the truth of the Word.

I love the guidance that if you're really doubting, it isn't too late and you can repent now. It seems like an obvious piece of advice, yet I don't think it would've come to my mind so quickly to tell someone that. I appreciate that practical advice!

Thank you Phylicia for sharing. You speak so clearly and with a lot of love. When listening I thought of Galatians 3:2 “… Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh”. It strikes me that sometimes that is what I am doing. Salvation was a startlingly free and lovely gift, but so is the grace that keeps me saved and growing. ❤❤❤

Assurance is only found in the promises of God in Scripture. Seeking assurance in a change of life or fruit will only perpetuate doubt. Your creating a "psychological Vietnam" and the fall of Saigon is a metaphor for apostasy from burnout. You are taking your spiritual cues from Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara vs Christ in the apostles.
