Crypto debit cards can be a great way to stack your cryptocurrency of choice with your regular spending, but only if you use the right card for the job.
I foolishly signed up for the Fold card without researching all of the other options, so now I’m doubling back to identify the best crypto debit cards out there, and whether this type of card is worth it in the first place.
My criteria for selecting the cards I looked into was pretty simple. First, they had to be available in the US, and by that I mean actually released and shipping out right now, not any cards that are “coming soon”. Of course, as debit cards, these are cards that you will have to pre-load with FIAT or crypto to spend. I don’t want to spend my Bitcoin or other assets because I want to acquire more of them, so using a crypto debit card to spend crypto seems counterintuitive. My plan is to load a card with stablecoins using FIAT from my bank account, and then use the card to earn rewards in crypto.
So without further ado, here are the 5 crypto debit cards I found that fit this criteria, ranked by my personal preference.
5. Crypto.com Visa Card
First, or last on this list, is the crypto.com visa card. They advertise up to 8% back on your spending, which would be awesome if it weren’t so difficult to get.
4. Voyager Debit Card
Next on the list, and not by much, is the Voyager debit card. Small disclaimer that this is still in “early access”, so while it is shipping out to some users, it may not be instantly available to everyone.
3. Fold Bitcoin Rewards Card
Next is probably the most confusing card on the list, and that is the Fold Bitcoin Rewards card. There’s a lot going on here, with 3 different ways to earn Bitcoin through the app.
2. Coinbase Debit Card
Surprisingly, Coinbase has one of the better crypto debit cards out there, plus it’s super simple and available in all US states except Hawaii.
1. Wirex Debit Card
The last card is a new one to me, and that’s the Wirex debit card. The Wirex Visa card can be topped up with crypto or FIAT, with no fees if you choose to spend crypto. Every dollar spent will earn up to 8% back in crypto - but with all those asterisks, we have to take a closer look.

It is also not a research report and should not serve as the basis for any investment decision. Additionally, I earn commissions for purchases and sign-ups made through the links above.
Beware anyone considering wirex please be well aware if an account is not used for 18 months they will charge a storage fee of BTC 0.003 per day!! if BTC at 40k thats $140 per day!
inteligent review. Liked it and subscribed 👍
Thank you for the great video!
Do money orders count for the 8% back with Wirex?
Nice video.
Thank you 👍👍👍🥂🥰
Thanks Lawrence!
I'm waiting for hi debit card💎 The most rewarding one I've found but not available just yet
One important question is that of which debit cards.... if any.... report transactions to the IRS.
...or ask for _your_ info to begin with!
Watcha think of the Gemini card?
One of the better credit card options IMO! I’m waiting on mine to arrive.
Voyager does allow you to earn cash back on ach purchases as well. Things like mortgage, care payments etc. however, still have to be in the VLP. don’t know if anyone else offers this?
Thanks for the comment, that’s a big perk to consider!
No one else offers this. The CEO confirmed that debit cards will be rolled out to the masses by the end of June.
@@BarbellFinancial game changer IMO
Rewards on mortgage payments would be fantastic!
It also allows you to enjoy bankruptcy 🙌🏻
Do you know when nexo wil releases theres? cant find info on it.
Theirs is a credit card, and I think it just started rolling out! Not sure of an exact timeline though.
Oof, that Celsius plug near the end.
Dang...I'm 70 years old and was just getting used to fiat USD currency. Now this!!!😱😱😱😵😵😵...LOL!

How can I have access to coinbase Debit Card?
What about Ultimo ?
Thanks Tyler for the crypto card comparisons! I've been using the CDC credit/debit card for over a year and despite the recent revised changes I'm still enjoying passive income with the credit/debit card cashback, rewards, rebates, etc. The whole CDC ecosystem is working well for me.
Nice! It’s nice to have everything working together in one place.
@@ValueForInvestors - Do you use CDC and are you going to make any more CDC videos?
man oh man, do I want to click your link on Celsius and make an account! My money is for sure safe right? 😂
11:28 celsius RIP bro
great breakdown. i think coinbase is the way to go
Sadly they dropped recently their rewards quite significantly on the debit card 😢
@@ValueForInvestors do you still believe its the best one around?
I thought coinbase was just a wallet storage? Not a crypto site
@@ValueForInvestors Still 4%
You’ve given me good reason to reconsider the Voyager card. An 8-10% on USDC staking is worthwhile.
Very true, especially as more platforms discontinue interest!
Aged bad
@@adrianlewis1775 Yeah, sure did. 8-10% would've been good on some platform other than Voyager's. :(
Oops
celsius aged well lol
A new crypto debit card with a lot of benefits is coming from hi. Up to 10% cashback depends of what tier you get :)
Could you make one for Europe too?
Wirex is aviable
We need an update.
I’m just looking to get out from under the boot of VISA and MasterCard
Celsius, lol.
Is Voyager debit card a metal card
I don’t think so
No, it’s not.
What about PLUTUS CARD?
I don't have access to the Plutus card in the US, so it was not on my radar 🙁
They all blow, except the 4% XLM cashback Coinbase
XLM?
It is now .5% and 5.2% for usdc balance
FTX bought Voyager in an auction. Just found out today...10/10/22.
lol
cro
Crypto Visa cards, like those from $UTED, are one of the reliable solutions when it comes to seamless digital payments in the world of cryptocurrencies, specifically when used for routine purchases.💰💸
Crypto isn't for spending, like cash.
wirex vs nexo vs pluto rank them 1,2,3 pls thx
Haven’t heard of Pluto, I gotta check that one out!
@@ValueForInvestors it's Plutus* sorry it gives up to 8% cash back max 15kusd staking to get the 8%
COINBASE it is
did not age well.
Folk are into crypto because you can keep off radar. Tie in a card, game over
Pretty sure people into crypto have used a cex at some point... If you're serious about using crypto as a daily driver you need something like this to function in life.
Do your Homework ♦️
After further testing, I only recommend the Coinbase debit card: coinbase.com/join/mcmurr_gy?src=ios-link
🚨 Why I would AVOID the Wirex card: ruclips.net/video/6nkqSRFA-3A/видео.html
way out of date - should be retired
stay away from wirex. coinbase is the way to go
What's bad about wirex?
