Americans have cheap copy BS called "bologna" and like that was not enough, Americans pronounce it wrongly. 🙄
That product's name was given per Italian city of Bologna, where real Mortadella comes from !!
American food culture is mainly distorted European one , which came to Americas with Eu settlers.

I didn't know anything about Mortadella until recently trying at my deli; now I cut a cold slice into ribbons to go in my salad. It's delicious. My salads usually end up being: one ribboned slice of Mortadella, mixed greens, 7/8 cucumber slices, 3/4 sliced vine grape tomatoes, 3/4 sliced/pitted castelvetrano olives, caesar dressing and a little shaved pecorino romanno cheese. 🥗
