*guess* The small thing he picked up goes into the wall like deadlock sensor. If has three abilities like astra stars and you can pick it back up. E scans straight forward with omen paranoia range. C is shock burst. Q falls in a plane that drops him back at the thingy
might be totally wild but when the hatchet opens (before jumping), the sun is shown (might represent a flash), and it actually looks quite bright compared to the inner environment. anyone who's inside for so long flinches just a bit when suddenly exposed to a bright light. the agent, however, puts on the glasses, and seems to go on and about easily (as I said, totally wild)
I think he's more likely to be a second playmaker rather than an off-site support. Striking distance typically, though I guess not intrinsically, suggests a close-range playstyle. You get within striking distance after all. The object looks like a gadget. Maybe a grenade, definitely a projectile.
@@Eshtian Doubt it. Gekko is the most recent initiator released and he already fulfills that second playmaker role. And I think the devs really intended for him to pick up his abilities and plant the spike with wingman because he's supposed to be the second entry. the fact that 'distance' is on the title/name itself already hints that the new agent would be initiating from a distance... otherwise, they could've used a better word to suggest close-ranged initiation like you said

Exhaustor initiator should not exist, Kay/o is more than fine. Thank you. Isn't Neon a momentum based duelist? She can literally move and shoot somewhat accurately. And what's the idea behind an initiator that counters duelist? A well placed flash already does that. Is it an anti push initiator? Because that's just a sentinel.
@@mobiuq3282 It could work as a shotgun, if we think about the range of effect. We have a sentinel with a pocket guardian, a duelist with knives that replace a rifle, and another with a grenade launcher.
we have like 3 momentum duelists lol i think an anti lineup sentinel would be cool. maybe they place a see through wall/ceiling that deletes objects that hit it and then the wall breaks
The glasses being able to see through smokes gave me a wild conspiracy idea. That is why they did the ping change where you can’t ping through smokes. Now only this agent can tell if someone is sticking the defuse and can’t ping the diffusers location for his team to spam. They changed ammo count before deadlock came out so her wall wouldn’t be spammed as easily because you would run out of ammo quicker. This could be a similar thing?
ok so the the glasses being important is an interesting theory. and if we look at our recon initiators, fade and sova, they have a thing in common - The recon can be shot So if this is an recon and deep line initiator kind of hybrid, I would say at least 1 of his abilities, would be a see through walls recon, that wouldnt be as long as sova or fade, maybe just like 1 ping of sovas so it isnt extremely op, but the main point is, u cant avoid it, if agent 27 is looking in ur direction, and u are hiding, w this ability he is gonna have the info, of course we gotta set a distance i would say it would be like Soba or fade radius to have a kind of similar effect, but for example, lets pretend we are doing an execute on a site, Ascent A main just to be easier we smoke , we glash, and my dude just looks at the wall and basically every1 till kin of that heaven or hell area is revealed. but then we gotta have some ability to rival breach, what does breach have, stuns, this character doesnt rlly need to go in for the execute to go correct, so I woult say we pull a Brim stone like pad or smth similar, and we can select the areas were our stuns will hit, so we reveal, we see a guy gen and 1 dice, bamm we stun those areas, 40 sec for a new stun, and we get a sound cue that the enemy was stunned. But thats just a Theory...
That's a nice theory, but I believe see through walls is way too OP. I mean if you give proplayers this the agent will be 100% meta on ALL maps. The recon type ablity paired with the stuns is a nice idea! And it very much could be exactly this. The gadget we see on the playercard kinda reminds me of an armguard which would align with the idea of a brimpad like ablity use. Thinking about your idea of the recon ability: I do see a world, where he can look through smokes. This would also give more sense to the recent ping system change. Because now if you ping, your team will have to look at the minimap, or the player playing is forced to give precise callouts. In case the utility is this type of recon I would hope, that players detected, get some way of knowing it and also that revealed enemies don't show up on the minimap
@eschess_ ik its way to op thats why it need to be short duration like only 1 sova ping or even less, maybe the further u are from the agent, the more faded the ping is, so it would be more reliable for clearing closer angles
Here me out. What if an initiator had reveal tech that you placed at any point on the map at the start of the round (kind of like Astra orbs), but they're hidden and you pop them either voluntarily a few seconds before they popped, or at a specific time you set at the beginning of the round?
His playercard and codename, GlassTech, immediately makes me think he is going to have see-through barriers. This would kinda also make sense with the playercard name because he would use barriers to close the gap and get his team into proper striking distance. This would not be the first time Riot would attempt to make a barrier Initiator. In fact, the scrapped agent Crusader, which eventually was reworked into Breach, had a shield throw ability. Having played a little bit of Spectre Divide, I think clear barriers could be a healthy addition, and currently we have one barrier agent in each of the other roles (Sage, Harbor and Iso), so it would make sense if they also add an Initiator to the mix.
Ok, regarding the card's emblem, taking into account the codename "GlassTech", what I can speculate from this is that this device, perhaps, produces its own glass-like structures from its tip. One detail that was overlooked is that if we look at the top of the card's emblem, you can see a kind of "structure" coming out of the tip, as if it were overheating. What I can speculate is that this device can generate some different effect or devices (for each skill perhaps) that are made from this special glass structure, pretty similar to a "comb", like a bee or wasp. He's also high up, perhaps indicating something related to height in the game? Finally, I can mention that the BP card involving two robots looking for debris is called "torque" and as this is probably something related to the new agent, there is the possibility that there is something related to the rotational force around an axis.
On a serious note, probably just an ult with a climax in which all the opponents inside get airstrike on, similar to breach and fade. Would be interesting to see the animations, specs, and it's working inside closed spaces like icebox A site.
to build the idea of a deep line lurking init with a sort of airstrike ability what if he was like astra in a way were he uses his glasses to be able to see the map and use his other abilities that way like being able to place a stun or flash somewhere on the map while not having to be there himself
The glasses might be similar to EDITH, probably not going to call a string drone army but deploying some util similar to brim keypad, the idea of seeing through smokes seems interesting
i think the idea of distance is important in this agent, which increases the chances of him being a good lurk. For instance, having an ipad like brim and sending a stun from the other side of the map for the duelist to play off is a possibility. Or setting up a flash like a yoru tp and being able to activate it from the other side of the map.
my guess is his ult would be like a pantheon ult in league, dropping out of the sky onto somewhere on site. his signature would be an antiflash cos there r no antiflash agents right now, like "cleansing" a flash off an ally maybe?
Wild guess so that I can say I told you so if I'm right: the ult is a bombing run of some sort. You choose a line somehow (maybe you can pick a start and end point with a maximum length) and along that line, bombs are dropped sequentially, killing or severely wounding anybody along that line. Not a huge problem to dodge but if you're caught in some narrow corridor at the wrong time then you're a goner. There'll probably some wind up time as it comes in so people have time to run in between the ult announcement and the bombs.
The thing has to be a scanning device, i think this is his signature ability, everytime we get a new agent card we get his signature ability on it, maybe its a scanner, maybe its a flash or maybe its a damage device like sova shock darts, i could see an agent that protects everyone from flashes as a signature and runs down a site or a see through walls ult like having a wall hack for a couple seconds either way im excited to see what it is going to be !
I think his abilities will fall from the sky and he'll be able to drop them from anywhere using a little ipad thing like Brim. That's why in the cinematic he's skydiving as a little hint. The player card even looks like some kind of spike, guessing it'll provide some type of buff/debuff in the area around where it lands.
The thing that he picks up first surely goes into his bracelet, right? When he is going to jump off, you can see that he is wearing a huge ass bracelet on his left hand.
I imagine he'll have some sort of brim style ability where it drops from the sky, doubt it'll be himself or like a nuke or something. I imagine he'll have some sort of scanning or info gathering util that you can drop onto the site or something, I imagine it'll be a weaker version of recon but more straight forward than other agents.
I think glasstech would be able to see through walls by having a straight line like the breach stun which would ping the enemy once if they are in the line
If the glasses really are a see through smoke ability it'll probably won't be too useful because yeah you'd think it'd be busted but they would probably make him unable to use a gun when using the ability and since you can't ping through smoke it will be pretty difficult to let your team know exactly where the guy you see is unless they're in the smoke which would make players who are against this new agent not sit in smokes so I don't think you can make a see through smokes ability be useful
I feel like a lurking initiator is just astra without the smokes? Astra's other set of utility is basically already initiator like, and you can use it from anywhere on the map...
Imagine seeing through your fellow teammates pov so that you can time your utility perfectly w/ them. Not global util, but you can activate your util anywhere that your teammates can see.
If we think about see through smokes it could be like sova recon and fade eye, after activating you could see purple enemy for few seconds This will help go through smokes bcuz enemy will hide behind cover But itl think its op and needs counter

I highly doubt that, he's more than likely gonna be a more combat focused initiator, one that either lurks and has abilities to help him do that or 1 that dumps all of his util at once from the sky and entrys.
So Harbors ult but with explosives.
That's just harbors ult but better.
