Glad to see a break down of the suspension on that car. As a stupid idiot E30 driver I learned the hard way that the rear end is trash and slowly went up in tire size to gain grip. I’m now on a 12k spring and like 1/2 inch of droop to disable the rear end. I’m gonna give your setup, or something similar to it, a shot and see if I can get any better grip out of my shitcan. Thanks Chelsea!
I have oem Z3 3.0 2in2out muffler on my S54 swapped Ti. Fits perfectly and silences it almost to stock level. Also you can also weld in plates to rear beam to adjust toe and camber.
@@chelseadenofa Plates have to be measured and aligned before welding for the specs you want. Also slightly bent arm could cause that too. I went from 2.7° to 1.5-2.0 range with enough toe adjustment range for toe out and toe in at the set height level.
I love how he keeps his setup simple. I wish he had a good formula for a street / drift setup for an e46 sedan 330i. I know I would need an oil cooler ,ps steEring cooler? and anything else where I could keep it simple and cost effective. I bought my 03 330i because of Chelsea. Hey Chelsea thanks for posting this. Been a huge fan of the Ti for so long and (for me anyways) yours is such a legendary well known car. Prob a bit strange hopping from the RTR to this hey? Haha great vid. Love the build.
@4:50 idk I had 96 accord (cd6) f20b 5speed swap with all the bolt ons. Inside the car on a pull you can hear the induction noise so good, that in videos people thought it was turboed. BUT also it was loud as well even with a muffler it still scream when it the VTEC opened
As well. I like how it sounded, because it wasn't the obnoxious rasp a lot of Honda were known for, it was more of a deeper for the lack of a better term, throatier, but when VTEC opened it got LOUD
my m52 as well BUT the S54 sounds rerally terrible from the exhaust side, imo the worst sounding cola can sounding motor on this planet, so i get why he put so many mufflers under it and the he still got so much intake sound cause of the ITB´s... so on you´re m20 or on any other BMW R6 you get some nice exhaust notes but not with that s54 lol
Really like the content and regularity your are putting in you tube. Just minor changes as : double scene with Radiator/clutch fan and if you could reduce dB of the Car scenes when you are talking would be perfect. Also like your implication in some Facebook forum Mustang / drift community.
Damn am I really getting old already? Put blast pipes on my Silvia and less than a week later welded on a Vibrant ultra quiet and now I am about to put another one on to shut it up even more
Dude i couldn't agree more with your car sound synopsis. Induction growl is the biz. I cannot stand when i hear some poser in his daily just crackling and popping everywhere. Why anyone would want a loud ass daily is beyond me.
Hey Chelsea, I'm trying to get into drifting and I've got a 323is with an M52b25. Right now it has the 2.93 gears in the diff which is welded. Should I swap to 3.15 or 3.45 gear or will I be fine running the 2.93 gears with stock power? Also, are power steering coolers needed? Love the content, I have learned a lot about drifting and e36 chassis! Thanks!
one of the best engines imo! give it some 5w50 tho so it´tl last loooong :D also go something like 3.15 wich is awesome or even better would be the 3.23 diff, that gives you something arround an extra 10% torque on the wheels in comparison to the 3.15..
I'm trying to find a 3 series e36/e46 and I'm having a hard time deciding. Are all the trim models basically just as reliable as the next? 323 325 328 330 ect, I want what would be the best daily on a budget and with cheapest insurance and best reliability regardless if it has less power, any info appreciated.
@@chasefroning I'm more a e39 guy, but since they share pretty much the important stuff, I would ALWAYS go for a m52! A even more so if you're ok a budget. I'm from Germany so I don't know what the models cost you over there, but if you can go for a e36 m52b25 or b28 (but got higher compression and tends to be more aggressive compared to the b28) if you want to go for an e46 go for the m52(tu) as well cause less problems with Piston rings, therefore less oil consumption = more fun driving it.. the 330 (m54b30) is really not worth the money I'm telling you, I have a 530i with that engine and it toke some money to have it nice camprared to my 528i. Also run at least a 5w40 or 5w50 of you track them, they all get pretty high oil temperatures cause bmw did not get them oil coolers. That TI is the jam. I remember watching it get built, and the cage and all. Was so stoked on that car & would love to see more content of it sideways
More mufflers, I love it. Loud doesn't mean good. Sounding good and being loud are mutually exclusive.
