@@ShaneWelcher question Shane. If you have 2 existing Panel views running identical applications connected to the same PLC, and I make a change to the applications. Do I have to create two separate runtime files? Or as long as I do not update the coms check box when downloading I should be ok with downloading the updated application to both screens?
Make a runtime file with the version you have then during the process, there is a button to make the .MER file a different version. Change the mer file there
I have ftv v7.0 and i creating runtime file on same version and downloading to hmi panelview plus700 2711p and it is communicating with plc but there is page of login and password and when i entring password it is not acceting the password Note that i have converted mer file v6.10 to ftv 7.0 file and then converting to mer 7.0 and above problem occured also i have tried to convert to mer 6.10 then still problem occured Can you suggest whay i should do to solve Do i need need to re configured the ralinx from ftv
You need to set up the user inside of the computer you converted the file with and after you make the user then double check the runtime security. Then make your runtime file and it should work if you followed the steps correctly
Well...Sandwich....😂 The runtime path is only for the located the runtime will be held in Site Edition. Meaning, when you make it then select where you want it to be at
@@ShaneWelcher Thanks for the fast response Shane. Sorry to bother you with this, but here's what I did. 1. Comms setup 2. Browse for offline file 3. Apply 4. Copy to runtime 5. Verify. Path to device assigned, offline tag file assigned, note: path to runtime device found 6. Click on HMI object, can assign offline tag to object 7. Create runtime app 8. File name save, replace? Yes. Discard changes? No 9. "Unable to save project runtime file".
Great video man 👍🏻
Thank you

how do I generate a .mer for an HMI with firmware 4.0? FT Studio only supports version 5.0 or higher

Change the mer file there
I can't get my panel view push buttons to link with the RS logix 5000 controller tags but the output tags from the program are working
Sounds like you either don't have the communication shortcut set up or either the tagging is incorrect.
Excellent video!!
Very good explain. Thanks
Thank you, glad to help

How do you setup a runtime path? Do you have to design from the actual machine you will be running it on?

OK what I did wrong was on my trainer at school all inputs have to be base tags and I created them with aliases
Thanks
thanks man for this video :)
Glad to help
I get "unconfigured shortcut detected".
You need to open the communication path then set the shortcuts up.
