Freisians I think are the most beautiful horses I have ever seen. And their temperament!

I fell in love with fresians when I saw one featured on a PBS program called Saddle Club. His name was Diablo and he was gorgeous, his mane and tail were something to behold. It was the first time I saw a horse that big being ridden.

I recall Pam from Mesquite Rodeo as an announcer and contestant She was entered in the calf roping and announcing at the same time. When Her calf was up She had to hurry from the announcer's booth to the arena and get ready in no time. When the calf was turned out the Header got a quick loop on it. When Pam threw Her loop She had the calf by both legs in winning time but as She was stretching it out the dam thing yanked a hoof out of the loop, costing the championship. The calf's name should have become "Open Season". Yup. Anyhow there's a Draft horse weekend every summer in Deer Lodge, Montana.

Have you ever found any connection in the ancestry of Friesians and Marwari? I noticed the curve onFriesians mimic that of the Marwari. Because the Dutch East India Company traded in the 17th and 18th century; I thought must have been imported to Netherlands. I would appreciate hearing any info. Thanks
