My god woman.... she is NOT trying to be Adele. She is being herself. You don’t even know what those “trills” are called. RUNS or Malismas. Please know what you are speaking of before trying to talk down a professional singer. I’m gone. Had enough of this. I really dislike people cutting singers down, no matter the singer, when they have no clue what they are TRYING to say.
A year ago or so Mauna Lee reacted to Daneliya's Live cover of "All I Want For Christmas" by Mariah Carey at 11 years old(the vocals and stage presence performance are mind blowing at that age) Mauna Lee disparaged that video also. She is obviously clueless and doesn't really know anything about music. Did you notice the title says she is a Former Radio Personality. Obviously if she was good she wouldn't be a Former personality. LOL

I can sense a lot of jealousy. There are a few other woman reactors that have trouble with liking Beautiful Daneliya.
I respect your opinion but she made this song her own. She never try to copy anyone and her tone and singing skills is like a 40 years old professional singers. I have not yet seeing anyone in RUclips better than her. She makes ALL covers her own.

I think Daneliya did an amazing job here. She covered this beautifully in her own style. Her tone is astonishing for her age and personally, I love the melismas that Daneliya always uses, and I think the ad-lib "trills" at the end were the best part of the song. That said, this cover is rather short and the song's range is not particularly dynamic. I prefer her songs where she uses both her deep lower tones and her beautiful head voice. Oh, and you seem to have forgotten that you loved her cover of "Love on the Brain" and were left somewhat speechless after viewing it.

I remember that Daneliya gave you goosebumps on your first view of her, yet she “Never did it for you.” (paraphrasing) Not sure how that works.
Sorry Diver she watched Daneliya's version of Mariah's, 'All I Want For Christmas' and did not like it at all. She saw nothing special and said she thought the scenery looked weird, and thought the whole layout was wrong. Then she watched Daneliya do her blind audition for The Voice Kids Ukraine and thought that made sense. Maunalee liked her display of emotion and thought Daneliya did a great job. Then she watched the 'Love On The Brain' video and said beforehand she didn't like Rihanna very much. Still she thought Daneliya did a good job. Then nothing until this song, 'Set Fire To The Rain'. In that time she has done MANY Angelina songs. She has also done many Courtney Hadwin and Grace van der Wahl. So when did Daneliya fall out of favor and why? I have no idea how she went from being very good to a 'whiney', out of control, out of tune singer? Maybe it's biblical, like, "he who has ears to hear, let them hear".
I think she doesn't like Daneliya because she doesn't really like Pop Singers. I also don't think she thinks it is cool to like Daneliya. Angelina fans have been living off the coolness that she sings Jazz and Blues. I listen to voices, I have all my life. Danelya's hit me like a ton of bricks. Actually, for those who know their Bible stories, it was more like the Apostle Paul's experience on the road to Damascus. I was struck by an energy that I can't explain. It was like I had 1000 volt energy input that made me feel enveloped in a bright white energy field. I have never before or since had an experience like that. Three nights later I watched another numinous performance as a snaggle-tooth, mop-headed little darling destroy a Billie Holiday song acapella. I love both these young ladies. My preference for Daneliya has nothing to do with Angelina's ability, who I think is going to be huge. But my heart belongs to Daneliya and her voice. Every time she opens her mouth to sing I feel overwhelmed.
O.K. I'm stopping because everybody is going to think I'm a kook of some sort. I am not creepy, I am just a broken-down old man that has fallen in love with a young lady who happens to possess a voice that, has an extraordinary appeal to my ears and heart.
Eu particularmente prefiro Daneliya a todas as outras grandes jovens cantoras (Angelina, Diana, Grace...). Acho a voz dela cristalina, seu controle vocal insano e muita emoção nas sua performances, além da beleza dela que só aumenta que nem seu talento. Além do fato dela ser mais do pop, que eu gosto mais. Embora ela passeio pelo hip hop, rap... Ela fez esse cover simples, sem exageros, mas não consigo ver problemas, principalmente vocais. Tente seu magnífico mash up de Skyfall (Adele) + Toxic (Britney Spears). Obrigada.
Honestly, no matter how much I try to like AJ, something still doesn't work for me. Apparently my hearing is badly damaged. But on the other hand, Daneliya is the healer of my hearing and soul above all. Adele is a unique singer, but I don't know why I prefer Daneliya's crystal vocals in this performance as well. The fact that Daneliya is a terribly beautiful young girl is another topic and she is simply without any competition, although for some it is secondary, but combined with her unique voice and incredible artistry, things go to a completely different level.

Since you have never done anything by her I think next up should be "rolling in the deep" by KZ Tandingan. There are two versions of it but either one I think you will really enjoy. I'm willing to say that it's time to bring out the goosebumps. The one from the WISH Bus is pure joy and the other one from the singing competition is just a Master Class in singing and stage performance. Hope to see you back soon and Be Well.
How did this turn into a Daneliya -vs- Angelina "thing"? This is one person's opinion, just like you and me have our own opinion about this performance. It's just that Maunalee has a YT Channel for doing reactions.....cool for her! I personally like Daneliya's voice, and have since I first heard her several years ago. I also love listening to Angelina Jordan, and have a Playlist dedicated to her songs which has garnered almost 100,000 views. However, I never try comparing them to one another because they are each their own person, with their own talents and capabilities. Come on folks, let people exist and stop being so judgey, and hurtful.

Hello. I hope you are still doing reactions.. Angelina Jordan just released an official cover of Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley. It is her best work yet. Her voice has matured so much. She sounds amazing!
I'm sorry, but the last thought you had about her lack of control of her voice, or that she is getting better. This is puzzling to me as one of her hallmarks is her control over her instrument. If you want to compare control as an issue then you must also downgrade Angelina, which I would never do, but she loses the high end of her big notes something you never hear out of Daneliya.
You should just stick with not liking her because your explanation of how you think she is getting better introduces a whole new level of passive aggressive speaking. I guess we will never think of Daneliya even close to the same. It is amazing that a whiney, out of control, singer that sings like a spastic can make it to the finals of AGT, be her countries representative to a major singing competition and win every audience favorite award that she has been eligible for. I'm sure Dimash also regrets calling her a 'National Treasure'. Also there are 1.4 million of us that subscribe to her channel that should possibly rethink our support of such a mediocre vocalist.

It is a fact that some people are tone deaf. Of the singers you said you liked better than Danelia, to me they do not have the extreme talent. Daneliya can do anything with her voice, most others can't. Daneliya has 1.4 million followers, soon to be 2 million. She will set fire to the world.

Yea, Amy sounded a bit like Angelina. But Angelina is far more versatile! Don't know where you got this with her pronunciation from, but she speaks 100% English. I'm not going to watch this as I have never been a fan of this YTer's attitude. A know-it-all who really knows nothing about music. But judging by some of the comments, I can only imagine what she said. I see someone mentioned Angelina Jordan. That doesn't surprise me that this YTer would use her in a comparison if she is disparaging Daneliya.
This is a "former radio personality", a person whose own popularity is more important than being unbiased and worth listening to. Here is where it gets interesting. Go this YTer's channel, click on videos, then sort by most popular. I did and here's the results: The most popular video on this channel is an Angelina Jordan video with 596K views. Second most popular - AJ -231K views, and I'm just getting started... six of the top ten - AJ, 11 of the top 20 -surprise! Angelina Jordan,17 of the top 30? You guessed it! Angelina Jordan. Not only does this YTer use Angelina for her own personal attention again and again, but Angelina fans are more than willing to give her the attention she craves. It's an ugly vicious cycle - not a product of quality content.
And you see this YTer is not about to upset that apple cart by showing support for Daneliya, whom many, many Angelina Jordan fans don't like simply because they see her as a threat, a rival to Angelina (which is sad all by itself).
So, to any Daneliya fans that suffered through this biased, uneducated, and worthless opinion, learn from this and don't waste your time on this YTer. Let her and her Angelina Jordan fans wallow in their own filth, even if they sling mud at another artist as part of their fun.

Personally I think this super talented 15 year old teanager is off the charts. An amazing vocalist that has improved and bettered most of the covers she has released. You say she's not as good as Adele, a 34 year old superstar, maybe not quite as good yet but I bet Adele could not sing this well at 15 years old. There's room for everyone to have their favorites and preferences. No need to put anyone down for their opinions whether they have musical training or not. Whatever you find pleasing to your ear is what matters. I'm a musician and was blessed with the ability to hear and easily be able to figure out the guitar riffs even before I actually studied and developed on my own (chord progressions, scales, etc.). So, like many I have my favorites and influences, and not everyone likes what I like. I liked this young singer's singing and her presentation. But I didn't feel an emotional reaction to this particular song. I would definitely want to listen to some of her other work. On the other hand, Angelina has moved me and awed me in a similar way when I saw and heard Elvis as a pre-teen in the 50s and as the Beatles did when I was a teenager in the 60s. My personal feelings and opinion.

Dolores is one of the most annoying singers I’ve ever heard! If she is your idea of a ten, then your opinion is somewhat suspect. Having said that, you are right about the song and execution. Her cover of Not About Angels is sublime and she now owns Tears of Gold

I’m curious now. Why is she your least favorite? She has way better pitch control than all of the others. More passion with each song. Angelina is the worst I have heard since Taylor Swift. She had and still has pitch issues. Daneliya has had the same vocal coach since she was 8 years old, so her coaching is not recent. Most all other vocal coaches do not have an ear either. Which is why they love Angelina so much. I have those ears that when Angelina sings, I have to shut it off as it is painful to listen to. I hear the slightest change in pitch and it hurts the ears of those who can hear pitch, better it seems than most of those who critique singers. Daneliya is the best young female vocalist on the planet. SoHyang is THE best female vocalist on the planet. I am sorry you cannot hear it. Let’s just say. That back in the 60’s and 70’s when I grew up, those young girls you like, they would never get a record deal. No auto tune back then. You had to be able to sing on or really close to being on pitch for every note, or you would never get signed at all. Good PITCH hearing is lost today. Very few have it.

She is the least favorite because even though she has a beautiful voice there is nothing unique about it. Adele has millions of fans not because she has a better pitch or range than Daneliya it has a uniqueness to it that instantly attracts millions to her songs. AJ is trying to establish that unique vocal sound now too as she is a student of Adele, Amy and Holiday's vocal techniques. If you don't have that unique sound you may be a one hit wonder or go nowhere. Diana has that unique voice too and when she is finish fooling around with Russian folk songs you may see a hit song from her in the near future too. A 12 year old Roberta Battaglia has that unique voice too so I suspect by the time she gets her career started Daneliya may finally figure out she isn't doing anything special and she'll have to change to survive
First, Daneliya Tuleshova is a KAZAKH name (and surname), not Russian or Ukrainian. At least learn where which country she is from. Americans are famous for their ignorance and you are a very good example (I am saying this as a naturalised American). I listened to Adele's rendition of "Set Fire" and agree that Daneliya's was more subdued, and while I enjoyed it, she can belt and didn't here (IMHO). I recommend "Alive" from the America's got talent final and "River" (Bishop Briggs) that she's done a cover with on her channel. I also like her AGT cover of "tears of gold" A LOT more than the studio cover although the studio is still good.
I like Angelina but in my opinion Daneliya has a much more soulful voice.

Daneliya Tuleshova is the best. Angelina Jordan I like too, but they both are different type singers individually, and should not be compared in that way. If you don't like Daneliya, then don't react, go back to your crabby radio show.
Over produced, background music was too loud. Her voice is unique, and strong. I think she could easily become a successful pop singer.

Daneliya was especially strong in 2020, she didn't hold back. Now she has some kind of decline, in terms of singing talent.
