I love it when someone who benched 500 in high school now says they didn’t have good genetics!!
No one without great genetics breaks world records! I am not being mean or trying to be rude but anyone who can do those things has great genetics.
I was 5’6”, 116 pounds when I started working out one month before turning 16! I could bench 85 pounds, squat 135, and deadlift 135!
I was 31 and 188 pounds before I finally benched 315! It was also in my 30’s before I squatted 500 and deadlifted 520! I eventually benched 340 in a contest weighing 190 when I was 34 but that’s as good as it got before a bike crash at 35 took it all away.
So I know what it’s like to actually have terrible genetics for working out. I think most men that have my genetics quit long before seeing what they can actually accomplish but I loved the feel of the weight and I was hard headed.

Yep 7 years of non stop training to bench 500 then 3 more years to 550 then 4-5 more years to 600

@ I am in no way saying that you didn’t work your butt off but you definitely had good genetics.
      I couldn’t bench over 275 from 19 until 31. I was put on trt the week I turned 31 and within 3 months I had benched 315!
So maybe I had low testosterone all those years but the symptoms didn’t really show up until I got older.
I was in the Air Force and only had to shave every other day, once I was put on testosterone, I had to shave daily like the other guys.

Yep 14 years later benched 600. It wasn’t easy
You have to remember I started training at 12. So 7 years with no breaks those years

Have a portion of your training dedicated to it 🏆

@@WenningStrength I’ve heard it’s the same as normal weight training, but it just takes them longer to adapt than muscles. I haven’t looked into recently so I don’t know if that’s still the general consensus or not.

Hard to find a gym with this valuable equipment. B&W gym in Chicago has a lot of these but it's quite far from me.
