I'm itching to get out, last winter we got all the snow soooo early in Northern MN. Also I'm glad to see you guys doing the speed limit. Too many maniacs out there
As a Polaris Rzr turbo owner.....talk about belt life.....what is the difference between sleds and UTV's......that fascinates me as to what the mechanical difference one might encounter....................Great videos !!!!!!!! :-)
@@toddclyne3493 no I'm all done sledding I think. I'm not smart enough to ride sensibly. I am disabled now after a work injury in sep 03 and can only walk for short distances and stand for short periods of time. I'm fortunate to not be in a wheelchair full time. I have a bunch of old sled's and part's in my side yard and it is sad to see them waste away....
@@toddclyne3493 YES!! Keep em coming!! It's the only way I can experience it now...Plus the sound of a tripplet with pipes is EAR PORN for me...lol one of my first good sleds was a xlt special SLP'ed out... that was MY first tripple and the sound still get's my attention...lol
Man I was watching this an about 2 minutes in I realized this is the trail we always take north! Super quick in the winter an takes forever in the summer haha
When there are darting like that. You have to much ski pressure or not enough or to much track tension. Set shocks on lowest settings leaving one thread on the front. Mid shock in the skid is also to tight or your limiter straps are in the wrong whole. You want a light feeling ski pressure. If the skis are aligned with the track. 0 toe. You'll be able to drive the sled one handed at any speed in any snow condition and it'll cut through the other ski marks left by people who do not have there sled set correctly. . There's enough slop in the balls joints to give you the 1/16 toe out. I set all my sleds this way and Never dart. Not even on my 90's tripples. and I run 9 inch single carbides.
Thanks. I know a couple people running the dual carbides. Kind of on the fence about them. It was really weird snow that day. Lol we were all over the place.
I agree on the dually carbides, but have heard people talk about shimming the skis. I've never done that myself, but would consider it. My 90 Indy was like that (darting), but I put on a set of SLP Ultra Lite skis and that tamed it down. Those are no longer available, unfortunately. When I sold the sled, I let the skis go with it, and have regretted that ever since. Anyway, might try shimming, or else the duallies.
I see the ruts are tossing you around too, I've messed with my sled trying to alleviate that but to no avail. I built some doolie bars to see if that will help the darting. It sure makes your arms and back sore after a day of fighting the ruts.
My neighbor has an XLT that has been sitting outside on a trailer for about 15 years. Last year, the cover finally gave up and now it sits there uncovered. I feel bad, but not bad enough to go over and try to buy it. Those triples intimidate me - too many carburetors.
Im sorry for the frustration. These days when Im on a long ride I take it really easy. We where ridding around 55 60. Its a Storm they look going fast easy! LOL
@@Gendronk I appreciate you watching. We just try to be responsible snowmobilers to keep trails open that volunteers put a lot of work into. Thanks for being a fan!
Man, that trail is so smooth! Built for speed!
Yes where we do all of our ridding in northern Minnesota. The clubs do an outstanding job on keeping the trails groomed.
That sound.... That beautiful beautiful sound.... It is so nice to hear
It really is!
Can’t beat that triple ping sound!!!
Sure can't!!
What a great sled and my Gosh what a trail!! That's a dream come true there!
We agree!
Smooth triple power. Nothing better!!!
You bet!

The first time I broke my back was on a 800 storm...lol feb 10 2000...slp heads, pipes, and ski's, custom porting, and bugger carbs, 2" paddle...
That sucks. I hope your all healed up for this riding season.

The snow was kinda odd that day. Usually the sled rides straight as an arrow.
Stud Boy Shaper Bars
Try liberal applications of power any time it becomes a problem it usually works for me
Heck yeah!
Where r u that the snow is that good already ???
Last winter
Turn up the speed knob
This is last winter or what🤔
Yes it is. I'm a little behind on posting videos.
Nice!
Need some Dooleys!!!
There was some big time ruts in the trail. My sled usually doesnt dart around that bad.

How much for the sled? It’s been driven by a grandpa
3 grand. Only 5000 very easy ridden miles
To each there own but give it some fuckin gas lol
I'm not out trying to get trails taken away or closed. Following the law and being respectful keeps trails open for everyone to enjoy.
