There are some tracks that are better on remastered and vice versa imo. The og is generally more cloudy and spacey which I prefer most of the time (also he removed some tracks and got rid of Call me maybe's whistling in remastered smh), but the remastered version of Sakura has a talk that's basically inaudible on the og version and better mixes on some songs. Speaking of that, the songs you didn't listen to are pretty nice tbh

Dude was definitely inspired by video game music and anime soundtracks, especially the ambient ones, a lot of VGM and Anime tries to fit in with the world and immerse you in it, kinda the same here. If it was a video game it would sound sci fi and dystopian. Bro listen to Dreamcast Summer Songs, you would appreciate his production more if you love The Avalanches Peggy takes pride with making worlds outta music and his inspiration. Also this album sounds like Bastard cuz of the excessive reverb
This album is like the suicide note of the devon persona, it is heavily implied that devon shoots himself in the final track. very eerily beautiful album.
