Aren’t you supposed to seal the knock sensor gaskets?

Im about to do this to my 04 silverado. The back knock sensor was filled with sludge. Is it beneficial to decrease under the valley cover after you remove it?

Just had my valley pan replaced, had been leaking bad. Solved the oil leak, but now i have a P0305 cylinder 5 misfire... tech said he had to powerwash the engine compartment to diagnosis the leak. Im wondering if he could have pushed oil into the cylinder?
I put in all new coil packs, wires, and ac delco plugs.
    Any ideas?
Could it be the CPS wiring gone bad?

Did you replace the plugs, wires and coils after the work was done, or before?

@PhillipsVision after, I thought it might solve the issue, but did not. Also thanks in advance for your help!

@@josephottey1890 you may have a leaking valve stem seal on cylinder 5. Remove the spark plug and see if the plug is dirty with oil. If so, that may be your issue.

So when the valley pan and sensor was replaced, the ecm was reset. The previous owner must have disengaged the Active fuel management system with one of those Amazon plug ins. When you run the vehicle on manual mode, the truck runs great. All be it as a v8 full time. If I switch it to drive or 6th gear, the engine shutters and the engine light blinks on and those the code again. It makes me think that when the AFM kicks on and drops it to v4, it doesn't fully. The shudders only happen during deceleration while in D, but in M on 5, it runs through all gears just fine. 🤷‍♂️
