The Jets didn't get the high round picks because they were a great team. They got it because they sucked. Unless your rookie is Football Jesus, they aren't ready for a Belichik defense.
Or panthers lol
There is a reason why they were selecting 2nd overall, they suck as an organization/team.
@@brettbarreras48 or any defense
Lmaooo cuz tua didn’t beat em twice already right?? 😂😂😂
No James, all they did was pressuring Zach up the middle of the o-line. That why he having problems. Now we see if Zach can play this game. This is the real preseason.
The only thing more entertain than the pain in his voice in this clip would b him talking about how happy he is to see sam doing so well with the panthers, thats gold
Bill works overtime to make sure the Jets suffer lol
He still smiling at the thought that he quit them and he kicks there butt almost every time they play them.

As a jets fan I can agree, it’s like he sits their with a green padddle early September or prime time game, but don’t forget Tom Brady’s last playoff loss at home was the jets a decade ago I think and peytons last colts loss a year later
It's not considered overtime if it gives you so much JOY
I've been waiting for this ALL day 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well worth the wait
Build a team, then get a QB. Getting a QB and no team just leads to a new QB in a few years.
exactly.
I was gettin CLOWNED for saying this 6 months ago. But now everybody seems to see the big picture lol
kinda funny how many coaches and GMs think their fortunes are tied to a qb when they have no team to put around them...
Very VERY GOOD POINT
Yup. You want a good team with that rookie contract at qb before you gotta pay him the big bucks. Seems like the best way to win a ring these days. So many squads regress once they gotta pay a qb top dollar
I’m not sure rookie QBs should model their game around Aaron Rodgers. Zack may want to try stepping into his throws sometimes.
Aaron also had to make huge mechanical changes to his throwing motion while being a backup. I don't get why the Jets just wanna throw him to the wolves with a rookie head coach.
Thanks for that information Joe Montana
Model your game after John Elway. Man set his feet whenever he could. Don’t play like Jay Cutler. Most guys will fail.
@@NotExplicable - because this isn't 20 years ago where QB's coming out of college were all raw and untrained. Nowadays, these kids are trained with specialists from their youth and NFL/college teams don't run wildly different styles of offense like they used to.
The days of "sitting and learning" for years are over.
And besides, sit him behind WHO? To "learn" from WHO? You telling me Zach Wilson would be better off sitting behind Mike White to learn how NFL quarterbacks operate?
How else do they develop him and develop the rapport between these young QB/HC's other than fucking PLAYING?
If you have an Alex Smith and a contending roster with a raw young QB, sure sit him for 1 year MAX and bring him along slowly. Otherwise, you're just wasting time and doing a disservice to your young team.
His arm talent is not the problem pal
As a jet fan, thank you for trading Sam Darnold from our dysfunctional organization and giving him a real chance.
Darnold will resort back to what he is next couple weeks
@@MRoss623 sounds like that’s your hope more than your belief.
@@MRoss623 Only if he goes back to the Jets in 2 weeks, Jets are like the Browns used to be, basically if your drafted or traded to the Jets your career is over.
Saw Sam play in Charlotte last weekend. Other than a few mental errors, he looked really good. Panthers, at this point, look like a real team. Much better coaching in Charlotte and it shows.

@@Geeandrezzi You can say that again. I've been a Jets Fan since 1965 and the sun rose exactly one time in 56 years.
I went from a kid to retirement age waiting for this organization to build a winning tradition. And it kills me when people text that Jets Fans just have to be patient. Are they kidding me? After 56 years of brutal season after brutal season, coach after coach, supposed franchise QB after supposed franchise QB, I've run out of patience. I'm spent. These guys are killing me.

Except for Sam Darnold's and I dare say this name Mark Sanchez.
Time, my friend! Give Wilson some time. I truly believe the jets may got it right this time. You have to remeber, Wilson is a slinger, a outta pocket slinger...so yeah hes better than most! Darnold is great! And he truly deserves this 2-0!
But once the jets get a real 0-lone and a running back or two. You're gonna see why zack was drafted 2nd overall.
Wilson was hit by a truck against CAR and NE. The body can't take punishment like this and he's going to end up like Andrew Luck.
And the Bengals will kill Burrow if they don’t protect him!!! It’s no good drafting a QB if you can’t protect him and these young guys can’t keep taking hits like they are currently!!!

The Jets just love QBs from out west with a small sample size. Sanchez, Darnold and Wilson none of them had a long college career. It seems like that could be a thing that is important. Maybe if you have more experience you'll be more ready for the NFL? Naah. I'm not an NFL gm I guess the Jets know better than me.

Real question is are the Jets going to have the patience to stick with him ... or are they going to toss him away to start over ...... the last guy they decided couldn't get it done is 2-0 today. My advice to Wilson is rent ..... don't buy.

"All gas no brakes!" applies to the defense.
Wilson can't be expected to win the games for the jet's. Not ready for that. 4 pics in his first 10 throws
I know Sanchez tossed 5 pics but Wilson's 4 pics in "first 10 tosses" has to be a record.
Have the Jets got an o line yet?
At 2:34 "felt like it was gonna be seven or eight, hehehe".
Its always fun to facewash a NYJ fan lmao😂😂
I remember a coach (I actually think it was Rex Ryan regarding Mark Sanchez) saying something like, "Hey. It's OK if we have to punt. That's what we have a punter for" I think that's something rookie quarterbacks really have to learn. For QBs like Wilson, who didn't come from a great league in college and are used to more open, high scoring games, it's maybe even more important. Not every drive needs to end in a TD for a game to be a success.
Saleh's greatest strength is the ability to adapt and overcome. He will learn. Y'all will be okay. (from a niner fan)
Trevor doesnt look terrible just looks like he plays for the Jags. Wilson looked legit terrible with 3 of those picks

sure but then ask geno smith or others that didn't amount to anything after they left
Christmas is coming early for Zach under attack one thing about him he loves to give the ball to the other team.
Rich, I feel your pain!
Could one say he was "seeing ghosts"?
Patience is a virtue but not for the talking heads. They would have exploded their heads had they been around in '89 for Dallas with the rookie qb (Aikman) and rookie, and former college, coach Johnson (remind anyone of Jacksonville?), or in '98 when Peyton Manning threw 28 interceptions and went 3-13. But there was not so much airtime that needed to be filled, I guess.
How much patience is required for fans of the NY Jets?
Stigler mom rocks
This game looked a lot like his game against the juggernaut that is Costal Carolina last season.
I wouldn't worry too much Rich, it's Bill, we all know how that goes. Zack will be just fine, I think The Jets got something with him.
Sorry man it’s not him, it’s the jets. Just get him out there he’ll be fine, darnold just needs experience he’ll be fine, Geno Smith just needs some reps he’ll be fine….
I like this Jets coach...right off the bat - Saleh....like how he presents himself, communicates, and that Jets D looked very good. Jets GM def knows how to buid a team....look forward to = matches in the division. The most alarming thing of the Jets QB was that a couple of the picks did NOT appear to be forced....he just chucked it.
Are you kidding? Every throw glances off the HANDS of the recievers
Why is rich in genuine pain soooo entertaining?
I’m so shocked.
As a pats fan idk which I loved more Wilson’s 4 int game or Sam Darnolds ghost game 🤣🤣🤣
Not much difference IMO, Wilson definitely saw ghosts with that kind of performance LOL
Rewatched the tape. The one positive to gleam is that between Sam's ghost game and Zach's mishap, Sam looked a lot more confused. Very jittery in the pocket and made throws off his back foot. Zach was a lot calmer and 1/2 of the INT came from balls that were floated into tight coverage. Rookie mistakes vs. Bad supporting cast + Bad coaching.
I trust Zach will bounce back after week 3. Travelling to Denver to face a great defense after getting embarrassed is a tall order. What matters is learning.
The one positive,he finished the game uninjured. Jets fans have been buying the hype for over 50 years. It’s comical. Zach zucks. Can throw those passes in college against weak teams. Not in the NFL. Empty head Eisen expected Zach to throw four interceptions? Cop out.
@@harveyhorwitz1346 💚
Zach Wilson looking like Nathan Peterman out there Lol
When they asked him at post game press if he was seeing ghosts, LOL
Peyton Manning has the all record for most interceptions thrown by a rookie QB. Some dudes just take time to develop. Going into a tough situation with a historically bad franchise rebuilding with a rookie head coach.
That was almost 25 years ago...things have changed.
Ints was more tolerated back then tbh
well they got him a line that didnt suck pretty fast.
He also threw for 27 Td
i dont feel bad for no one, because zachs INTs are coachable. They used his aggression against him, offense is still young at least their defense is playing gud
I was at that game and called every INT the play he did it
He's gotta go through it to get to it.
I was once asked what is the one character flaw I would change about myself and my answer was being a jets fan.
Did Rich just call Pats vs. Jets a “rivalry”? As a Pats fan I’ve always looked at Jets games as a rest week and an easy win.
2010 was the only year that felt like a real rivalry.
At least he wasn’t seeing ghosts lol
All gas bro
Growing pains...They will get going over time, remember they are the youngest team in the NFL.
Seems like Sam Darnold was not that bad after all! In fact he had more yards than Zach Wilson against the Pats despite seeing ghosts.. Imagine that! Apologies to Jets fan but I think even if they get a combination of Mahomes and Brady as a QB, they will still SUCK
People need to stop throwing at JC Jackson. That's 2 of your 4 INTs solved right there.
When Russell Wilson threw 4 picks he went to the Superbowl. Didn't work for Zach but you can't blame him for trying.
when a bunch of Sports talking heads speak in print, live, and booth: this is a space of reason.
The Jets need to rebuild their offensive line. So Zach has the time to find the open receiver.
Gotta feel bad for Rich as a Jets fan, but at the same time Go Pats!
That's the nicest and the meanest thing anyone's ever said to me.
Belichek knows how to game plan against rookies...I have a feeling with our Saints offense line and injuries everywhere we are gonna lose big time...
It is not about Wilson taking Saleh's advice, it is about Saleh holding him accountable for not taking chancy throws when he has open check downs. The OC needs to draw up safer shorter throws for him also.
He should have benched him.
Love how Salah goes when you have a Rookie QB and then automatically goes oooo wait they had a Rookie QB too. Yeah thats right Salah
tbf the jets roster is pure shite.
Doesn’t help when zak is running for his life. But that’s what belichick does to rookie quarterbacks, hopefully he’ll learn and grow from it
Rich knows what it's like to be a Bears fan.
Darnold is proving that he wasn’t the problem while the Jets keep struggling. I realize this is the youngest team in the league with a rookie coach and as a Jets fan I certainly hope for brighter days ahead, although after nearly 40 years I always end up questioning why I picked the Jets. That said, at what point does ownership look in the mirror about the culture and what they are doing for the team? After all players and coaches have changed all the time, yet ownership is the only constant through all the crappy seasons. 🤔
You just gotta pray that after john dorsey saves the lions, he heads to the NYJ
And Darnold looks like Namath allof the sudden. Salt in the wounds
Being a Jets fan all these years is like being a dead horse that keeps getting shot but can't die.
His 4 picks come as no surprise to everyone who was like, "Wait, what? He's being drafted how high? Really?"
Between the owners and the agents, QBs no longer want or do the apprenticing to a vet QB that they used to. Now the NFL are putting QBs through the meat grinder and mincing young QB after young QB
Damn you're right these guys getting paid millions shouldn't be expected to cram and study and practice for a position... a true meat grinder brother, my heart goes out it really does
It was his second NFL game against a Belichick defense, he'll be fine
I just realized the Eisen is so much more better than Cowherd that it's lunacy to even begin a comparison . . .
What are the odds two of the worst teams last year by a large margin are also bad this year? ( @ Jets and Jags)
Needed to be throwing short.
AMEN!
haven't seen the plays.
Sometimes a ball is meant for the receiver to make his play for it.
Rumor was falcons wanted lance if he was still there.... I would've taken fields or lance personally... There was a lot of qbs that were supposed to be good. Makes it tougher to sift through the bs
Have any of you gone to the NY Giants page and watched the 80s version of Bellichik? He wasn't always so grumpy. He wasn't always so strict. LT is known for having off the field issues. Bellichick just let him be himself
Zach fanboys breaking their ankles jumping off the bandwagon
Feels like they are breaking their ankles to justify still loving him
Sam Darnold smiling right now. Smiling.
Jet should build the team first then get a qb instead of the other way round like what the bills did

Rich is the Best
Which Rich is one of the best in the biz. Kind of feel for him that he has a roof for such a sucky organization in the Jets.Being a fan as painful sometimes
Give him a consistent running game and let him get into a rhythm
They ran for 140 yards
They had it
He initially said all gas no breaks, he didn't say be reckless no brains. Be agressive but also look at your limitations, we can't fit throws into triple coverage, I don't care if your Patrick Mahomes. He had opportunities to check down, and I think there were opportunities to scramble for a few yards, anything better than throwing a pick or taking a sack. If the big play isn't there atleast get some positive yardage or no yardage throw it away, maybe the opportunity for a big play will be in the next play.
Well he, the HC, needs to have the sense to tell the rookie QB to play within himself and the scheme .....
Name a more iconic duo than Jets fans and booing their first-rounders. It can only be surpassed by the Jets media trashing a rookie qb like that.
The Jets are wonderful for Survivor contests. Just add water n Fade.
I love to listen to rich.... but what does he have against the Broncos?
S/O to Rich for the Fck that's delicious reference
The Jets are actually playing this young man behind the putrid O-Line.
He wasn't under pressure for most of those picks to be honest. Two of them were complete head scratchers.
Since ehen do you call a miissed catch by a receiver an interception for the QB
