I Played 100 Days of Astroneer Hardcore!
All music is thanks to Epidemic Sounds - www.epidemicsound.com

As an astroneer completionist, I can confirm this is a very solid play through.
I'm extremely thankful to hear that sleepy! Thank you buddy
Idk feel like he coulda used generators to make everything go faster to start with but I guess that’s not common knowledge
i havent but i hate when you make something too steep then you die on the steep path
This game's changed so much since I last played it 4 years ago O.O Half way through, when you started going to those other planets, it started to fell more like a horror game for a sec with all those creepy plants lol You're amazing!! Chunky Monkey!!
That horror aspect definitely creeps up on you later in the game and when you start that cave exploring :P
Oh man I remember sitting on my bed with my laptop playing this game the day it was released. This game has really grown and I feel like a nostalgic parent looking back on it.
chunky monkey btw loved this vid keep up with good vids :)
It is so cute seeing a first playthrough of this game. I have an ungodly amount of hours in this game. Every new player makes such a mess of his first base. I don't mean this as an insult. I think that is just normal.
It amazes me how long you made it with just the shelter energy. That slowed you down so much. When you land on a planet you should always look for medium wind turbines and solar panels first. You can just find them on the surface. Makes your life much easier. Base management comes natural with time.
Ahhh, omg!!! You actually just blew my mind right open with getting the turbines and solar panels first... I passed by so much and for some reason didn't think twice about picking them up which would of be so easy! D:
I also have an unhealthy amount of timr in the game and yeah i was honestley surprised how long you lasted on the base. And also holy reasearch champers batman
Thank for this information i will use it to the best of my ability
@@matthewwiley609I have a tip id like to add as a new player to new player,
Dont worry so much about the base at first just focus on learning research making a ramp to the core (easier with flattening setting and a soil cap) spreading tethers and get the OBJ at the launch pad
Edit* OP is fifty days in without using a soil centrifuge props to him but its much easier to generate things like clay as you need them rather than find them everytime
@@twitchy.mp3 oh im not new just not the best at the game but thanks for the tips I'll try to use them to the best of my ability
Your commentary has improved so wonderfully! It's been fantastic being along the ride as you grow as a creator. I remember my first play of Astroneer, it was so confusing but it felt so satisfying when I finally figured things out! I'm glad you enjoyed this game so much C:
Awh, buddy! That really means a lot to me, even just feeling more confident with what I say or making this just a little more cohesive seems to work for me! I also loved making any progress because it felt so satisfying do just a little unlock
For a seasoned Astronear player it was a little pain full at first but I’m glad your enjoying such a great game and bringing light to a less known game
I'm really glad I can shed more light on the game for people. Sorry about the start, because I could feel how painful it would be for people to watch haha
Right, if only he added more power to the grid early on.
The OG of “I spent 100 days and heres what happened “
Yup yup, that's basically it!

@@RayofpandasGamingChannelLove your stuff bro , clicked as soon as my notification popped
That's because people like you make this place amazing! :P
I really do appreciate the support on the video gamerboy!
I hereby formally demand 200 days
And now you shall have such a thing!
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel i thank thee for thy service
400!
Next time you play use 2 tractors and 2 trailers in a train, it costs basically the same, gives you a extra battery, and if one end gets stuck you can use the other end to pull it out. It is also useful for multiplayer(for obvious reasons)
Edit: use flatten mode to build ramps
See, this is the stuff I wish I knew before going into the game haha. I'm always curious if I should ask for advice or tips before playing a game or go in blind like I have been
if the little creatures busted out "the lion sleeps tonight" out of nowhere this would be king of games xD
Lmao, that would've been music to my ears
Wonderful playthrough! I love hearing the excitement in your voice as you discover new things. I'd love to see a 200 days video of this.... it's too pretty to stop!
Because of how kind and fun with comment was, that alone motivates me to work on 200 days and because I missed quite a bit, haha
Well, then I certainly can't wait to see it! You're awesome. :)

You're way too kind buddy, much love man!
YES ANOTHER BANGER I CAN WATCH. You dont understand just how happy i am, lovr your content man. Genuinely made my month, starting school up.
Love your stuff, dude. Keep at this.
Ah, well have a great start to school when you do go back if you haven't yet, and I have so much more that's coming! ;D
Appreciate ya very much man, and I'll definitely keep it going!
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel just knowing you're out there, making these awesome videos. Genuinely makes me a happier person. Thank you for being here man ❤, I appreciate Everything you do.
I can say that about you shockwave, and everyone here! It's people like yourself that truly make this place a better time and gives me the motivation to keep pushing through!
It is interesting to see how different people progress. This isn't an insult. I missed several key points playing through the game, only to have to backtrack and figure things out. I continue to explore Astroneer. Great video.
This is far from an insult and grateful you made it through a longer then normal video, Chuck. I really appreciate the open opinion and thank you as well for the support!
CHUNKY MONKEY I love every 100 days you post and have watched basically every single one. to dedicate your time for our joy means so much. i can't wait to see the next game you post
Can't wait to show you the next one and so much more!
Amazing video and looks that you really captured exactly the joy I went through on my first playthrough.
If you are going to make a 200 days video some tips:
* Make a paver for the rover and your hand tool, it will allow you for make bridges and smooth areas to build your stuff
* For the actual ending you will need to unlock all the planets and I would highly recommend it as there is story
* Glacio is the hardest planet to have a base but if you take several wind turbines and batteries, it is the best planet for Bytes... by a long mile
* For each planet have a mini-base with a couple of Large Platforb Bs, a condenser, batteries and mix of solar/wind turbines. You then place the condenser in the middle with 2-3 large storage conainers and that means that when you come back you will have a tonne of gas (for multiple gases double/triple the setup)
Definitely a lot more stuff I could've touched upon on the end, but that's what another video will be for!
As for all the advice and tips to help me out, I'm totally going to screen shot this comment do I don't forget on Day 200!
Thank you so so much Zazooku
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel *200 days spoilers*

Woohoo finally Here i Love this one so much! Continue on Like you're doing right now and as Always a wonderful Video👍🏻
I will definitely continue like I am now and keep it going, thank you so much Alex :)
CHUNKY MONKEY! I've watched a lot of 100 days vids recently, really enjoying this one and your narrative. Subscribed! 🙂
I'm so dang grateful for your support robertleon! Truly man
I love your videos and i always like it when someone plays astroneer for the first time
Always a pleasure to play Astroneer blind for everything and truly enjoy it :D
Loved this game for years. Looks like I need to start up another playthrough.
You really should! :D
What a great video!
Played this game on and off over the last 6 years and your optimistic reactions have made me download it again 🤣 SUBBED!
Ah, that's awesome I could spark that excitement back up for you! I really appreciate the support too, Vague
honestly one of the first Astroneer videos i actually watched in full, This video gives me the feeling of experiencing the game for the first time and i love it :) def getting a sub
Honestly so refreshing to read this comment! So many in the first few hours expected me to play it one way and know what to do. This was my first time and I just played it as intended for myself haha
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel Also how did you record this? was it a stream or did you really record this in full? i cant imagine the file size would be small-
I’m glad I’m here early enough to finally say I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. I’m a survival nerd and your content is ON POINT!
Aye buddy, that's so amazing to hear dab! I truly appreciate that because most times survival games don't come across well to most with all the grinding and time spent, but we know
What survival games you be playin bc I'm tryna find more.
Depends what you're looking for, but I'd recommend Grounded, Raft/modded, Valheim, Astroneer, and so much more
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel I sink hundreds of hours into some survival games, so grindy is not annoying to me at all. Actually I prefer watching grindy games uncut. I don't think many people like that, so there aren't really many 100days over 3 hours long which is unfortunate.i used to enjoy them when it was common to have 100 days vids be at least 1 hour long, but now people manage to squeeze them into like 20-30 mins
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel I play Grounded, Minecraft, Rust, and Astroneer already. Valheim I couldn't really get into. I'm kinda confined to vanilla games. Modded isn't an option for me atm and it's pretty much any survival game. I'll give any game a go for at least 40 hrs before giving an opinion on it.
Less goooo!!! Ray’s back again dropping another BANGER!!!
Haha, you're just the best for that antimatter!
Astroneer is one of my favorite game, im still playing at this game since he got out in alpha, and now your doing a video on it. Thank you, its so cool.
I'm so glad you're still enjoying the game to this day because it really does deserve the love! Something so much and cozy about it
Chunky Monkey
Oh I couldn't resist that temptation. :)
It's been ages since I played this, and I can see how it has evolved since I played it. Never did finish it, but it is fun to watch you play.
A game that definitely takes the survival genre and switches it up with the concept of working towards life and all things green!
Thank you for enjoying this one Steve :D
Yay another 100 days I live these videos from start to end all the time and I can't wait for the 100 in terraria
Terraria will be coming soon enough! That's a big one planned for me ;D
Let's go more pandaaa❤🎉
Love all your content bro
I really appreciate you too bro, means the world to me
lol perfect timing ray!I actually am working on finishing the story of astroneer right now as well!
You're very welcome and that is some great coincidence ;D
One of the best videos you've made.
Keep up the good work :)
Thank you so much tenzor and I will definitely keep it coming!
Yo Chunky Monkey I cannot express how happy I am you did a 100 days of this. I was screaming at you for so long about your power 🤣🤣 please do a 200?!?!
Haha, the power thing probably had a lot of people just itching to build something for me x3
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel here’s me now wondering if you are filming something else whilst replying to these 🤣
Sure have been and uploaded too! Now to work on another lol
I actually played this in alpha. Its a good idea to rush to solar/wind power for base as power is the limiter for speed on production in the early stages. It also lets you have free power on your transport vehicles. One canister must be carried to help with traversing to alter terrain.
I really should've tried that. Even just the idea of putting it on or taking the solar turbines back would've been nice, haha
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel if you spend enough time on it you can wrap a bunch of pads all around the planet with solar pannels and have unlimited power that wY
You kidding, I could have unlimited power??? ;o
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel yep. Solar pannels would be all you need if you do a full wrap around along the suns rise and set path to the planet
Looks like I have a big project ahead of me!
It's so interesting watching a new player play this game. I love the mindset you had, the mindset of an explorer. I think people will enjoy this game more if they went in with the same mindset as you.
When I first uploaded the video, quite a few people didn't like how I played because it wasn't more focused or mission based. I really do love jumping into a game and just exploring and doing my own thing
I have to say nothing here as you know what im going to say... Im watching all of your videos and commenting on them because well. You deserve it ❤
Im 20 mins in and im just wondering how u managed going almost 30 days without building a single turbine or solar panel. The more power you have the faster your buildings operate. I would not have the patience that you did to only use the habitat power to build and research that slow. Also Chunky Monkey
Lmao, I honestly thought that was the maximum speed for everything so I literally just waited on the sideline for things to build and watched a podcast/show on the side, haha
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel well if you decide to do a 200 days where you activate all the planet cores at least now you'll know that more power = more speed
Yeah, more power and to activate all planets cores!
Everyone wake up Rayofpandas has just uploaded a new 100 days series!
Its that day, wakey wakey!
Yess an astronomy vidd❤ love ur vids you been doing so well wishing 200k soon ❤❤
Thank you so so much krystal and working hard towards our next goal!
I love your videos and hope to see more keep it up and don’t let anyone ruin your journey 😊😊
No one will ever ruin my journey and thank you so much for being here!
What a great first 100 days, i think you'll enjoy coming back to this and using the jetpack, hoverboard, large rover and XL shuttle and doing the other side quests like the train missions or activating other cores
I love how theres no incorrect way to play this game, everything that can be unlocked just makes thinks work more efficiently, like personally in my 5 or so years playing this game I've never unlocked the medium rover or the medium shuttle, but i can see how depending on the order of planets you visit having them can be useful at the time
It's still so shocking to me that I missed so much, but felt like I did just as much if not more in the game! Didn't realize there was different ways of playing the game that could have it feeling like your own playthrough ;o
Love this game. Got to the core of sylva, built 5 research chambers and mined astronium like it's no tomorrow. This devs are bosses at keeping this brilliant game Alive!
I was surprised myself to find so much more content then I could've imagined while my first time and more recently giving it a go
Thank you for actually doing this! I can’t believe you actually did it!
I'm glad I could finally give everyone some Astroneer! :D
Astroneer is such as relxing yet scary game from being in the caves to being on the surface, great video man!
You never expect it, but the game has a way to make you feel un safe haha. Thanks man!
I love your video and the video is awesome
Thank you so much my man!
(: thanks you
Can you do100days in project zomboid
Chunky monkey
That's actually in the next month or so!
lol....was fun watching you trudge thru those first weeks. quick tip, if you look at the places where the power cables come out of, they indicate the amount of power in the base
I'm so relieved you found it fun in the beginning, haha. So many people were heart broken because of how much I didn't know lol
I've played this game for around 2 - 4 years then quit, I was conflicted whether or not to get it again, this video made me get it and omg I forgot how much I loved this game so thank you for making this video
Thank you just as much for watching the video and sparking up another play through
I know its a bit late but you can use the packager made in backpack with graphite then use them on researchables to shrink them down to fit onto a storage. This would allow you to carry 8-24 at a time back and forth. The packager can also shrink the burnt thruster pile into working thrusters.
Never late because I'm still planning on making a new video to finish up the game! ;o
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel Nice! Can't wait for it
God man it has been years. I’m not even sure if you remember me. SabreStrider. I was thinking of your channel the other day and it popped up! Anyway, I’m glad to be back and I’m happy to see how much you’ve blown up
It’s so interesting to see how other people approach the game. I love this game a lot!
I definitely went about it the wrong way with having no proper power source, lol
I enjoyed this video. And one day I will play this game myself when I have free time.
Great job Ray👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Thank you as always Gen and I hope you're taking good care of yourself :)

Of course, I know it's easier said then done, but one day at a time!
Stay safe the same
One of my favorites, you can sink many many days into this game, hope you had fun
You truly can, both with off planet and underground there is quite a bit you can do! Something I definitely didn't expect to see
No way! I actually suggested this one a while back and I'm so glad it's as good as I hoped!
Yeah, I have not forgotten about the other games people have wanted me to play and I'm slowly getting to them now!
Yeeeeessss! I've been waiting for this!!
So excited to finally show you this!
Nice video, last time i watched a playthrough of astroneer was way back in 2018😢so nostalgic
Awh, then I'm happy I could do this video for ya!
That's a solid play through, you got a new sub in case i ever need to know more about another game.
I really appreciate the support and welcome to the channel voice!
Chunky Monkey. This one was lovely to watch. Very relaxing. Reminded me in some ways of No Man's Sky - but cuter. :) Hope you are staying well and taking care of yourself. :)
I'm glad you enjoy the video through and through, definitely a touch like no mans sky! May even have something else coming that is similar ;D
I am also taking good care of myself and the same goes to you Crone!
great vid! already exited for the next one
This game has a real ending with all the different cores, so I'm very excited for that day to come myself :P
Im amazed by how you didnt realize everything was going at snail pace with no power xD, also one of the best mashines in the whole game is the centrifuge! basically makes all the compound, resin, and clay you need the rest of the game-, i get it as early as possible in all my games-, i love how you can make tethers all around the planet and end up at your base again too-
It's sad to say, but that's the pace in which I play games myself. So I figured everything was normal up until the point I uploaded this video and then realized I was so wrong haha
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel I loved how you made a ton of researchers which just made the researching slower for each one, i've nevver had more than 2 at a time-
Nice! I got astroneer and was wondering if it was worth it. This video totally convinced me to try, it thank you
Definitely worth a play through and more! You're very welcome ram :)
Omg i remember early 2020 playing this game thru COVID and trying to figure it all out and play it like No Man’s Sky, great to see this great game again!
Quite the game to pick up and play! I always thought this game was just a single planet with not much to do. How wrong I was haha
Amazing playthrough! Lets see more. (Chunky Monkey btw)
I plan on it Lommelo!
I'm so glad you're still gaming after so many years 🙏
Always, it makes me happy and a great way to just reset :D
I haven’t play this game in so long but because of you after I watch your video I’m going to play this amazing game!
Have some great fun for me laughtolive!
This game is so emotional and I’ve loved this game since childhood, astronomer gang forever!
It's great to hear and see so many enjoy the game!
plus ive never seen or heard of this game and you just made me love it (keep it up)
That's what I love to hear. Being able to show off a game and really have fun with it!
The easiest way to get to the planet core is to use a rover with drills, some soil canisters, the road Paver, also some RTG, then just drive (or dig) your way down while paving a highway straight to the core. No more problem of falling into the crevasses and getting stock, just don't ran out of soil. The largest rover is recommended, equip it also with storage silos and other stuff and you can take it everywhere.
Anyway, I see a lot of changes in the game, I may re-visit it again.
This will help me so much for finishing up the game, thank you again Cowen!
watching him go through the process of discovery and learning is oddly charming and adorable.
You're oddly charming and adorable :P
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel oh you! You stop that. But keep going though
7:28, Usefull Tip for Transporting Research materials. Get a "Packager" it Shrink Wraps some things in smaller containers. and as for the research meterials, it changes it into a One Space container. Meaning you can carry up to 10 on you back to base. Technically you can carry 13 but most people wont use the ports on your Gun to transport shrunk research materials.
8:38, This is the packager.
Been waiting for this since I have been playing a lot lately
Beat the game for me, haha
such a chill video. I LOOOOOOOOVE IT
You LOVE YOU for loving the video, haha
The sound effects were the BEST part of this game for me. Sooo Satisfying
They're little sweet effects that make the game so much more fun and enjoyable
Another great video. Love your content rayofpandas
I really appreciate your support and words Farhan :)
also another cool trick with the smelters, atmosphere condenser, and centrifuge, place them with the larger platforms with side slots to put the large silos and it will auto store it all for you, and also for the larger rockets you can place the resource silos on the medium and large rocket to take with you
All I read was auto storage and I'm all for it, thank you so so much man!
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel no problem, yeah its alot to get use to about the game but once you understnad most of the fun secrets its a really fun game
It would easily help the process for everything because it slowed down not knowing the different pieces of equipment
This was an amazing video thank for the content that me as a viewer will slurp down
Lmao, "slurp it down" now that is a different take. I needed a great laugh, thank you!
I just got this game due to a switch sale and I’m with you. The game is really fun. I just hate the switch cameras controls. They’re really weird. I have one of each printer and m base is a mess. I haven’t launched yet cause I need a thruster. Love the vid❤
Really glad to hear you enjoy the video Crusader! Truly grateful for your kindness!

You're childlike wonder while playing is so adorable. I'm so frustrated by you're lack of generator usage in the early game however
Yeah.. I try my best to give my most genuine experience, but sometimes it fails in hopes of learning the game better :P
Idk how much people know this but I recently found out that if you put furnace or research chamber on Large platform B with the medium storages on the sides the machine automatically put/take the material on/from them, is super useful especially for the furnace, it will automatically put the raffled materials on the medium storages, is basically an automated arm function but without it.
I didn't realize how much could be automated and stored away with all the little gadgets. Thanks for the tip here though as I can't wait to try it out
Whoa! Dude, Ray what happened to your voice??? New mic? Your voice sounds much deeper suddenly!
Loved this playthrough, got proper hooked on this game myself, and more than once, hahahaha!
_Quick tip :_ When you enter a cave, always pick up your last tether and carry it with you. If you fall, smack it on the wall or ceiling immediately so you know where you fell, and can find your way back up if you survive the fall. That pale blue glow has saved my bacon more times than I can count
Do I have a different voice in this one? Haha, had no idea!
That tip would've saved my life a few times when going into caves because I would do just that, fall, have no more tethers and try to dig my way out
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel Oh god the digging out fails I've had. When a cavern you didn't know was there, opens up under your escape tunnel and now you fall to your death NOWHERE NEAR where you fell the first time, out of an escape tunnel without ANY tethers in it! Still, awe-some game!
Asides from a few scary falls and stuck in a cave, the game is so much more then I could've expected!
Enjoyed watching your exploration.
I'm very thankful to have any of your time
As a massive astroneer fan, I can confirm that this man has my respect
I really appreciate it GamerGuy! Most have been a bit frustrated with me not knowing about power early on haha
Brother man a large table with no storage can hold research eggs or whatever you wanna call em
And if its extra large ie. Big enough for a research chamber + eggs
Any research in storage will automatically be pulled into the research chamber you can do this on a large rover body too
Same thing happens with furnaces too just need to put a storage shelf on next to them and if they share a table the smeltables will auto exchange
It's great to know things can be automated with the furnaces and so much more. I just need to figure out how it all works
Just about to start my first playthrough of this game and this just makes me more excited. Game looks really cool
You'll really enjoy the game and remember to build power early on! Something I forgot to do, haha

If you do decide to do a 200 days, theres no real reason to do all the outer gateways. To access the planet cores you only need to do one. the rest are there if the player wishes to do a 100% playthrough.
I will probably just do a single one for each planet. I mostly did every single one for the first planet to show how it looked and felt like!
LETS GOOO ASTRONEER BEING NOTICED AGAIN!!!!
You got it Spiker!
I played astroneer for quite long and i have everything practiclly max but i never do fabule and now after i watched your film im going to do this cause this looks fun
Always another way to play a game from different video's haha
I'm surprised you didn't do the thing I always hated doing. Right at the start of the game, I always end up building a bunch of small generators to run things. It seems annoying but it works until you get something better. Maybe that's why you never thought to just put a small generator on the tractor and buggy....
I honestly gave it a thought many times, but trying to build them I got a little bored with having to fill them up with organic materials
