Aight lemme just be frank and say this is by far my favorite mod review channel. Not just because I love modded mobs the most in minecraft, but also how ye succinctly describe and show each and every one while occasionally injecting some funnies into the mix, all with subtitles and sweet camera work. I like the fact that, despite you never talking in your videos, you still make the mob introductions feel like they came right out of Skylanders, one of my favorite franchises of all time as I grew up with it. Funny story, I used to think Skylanders swap force was the first game when it was spyros adventure!
Awesome showcase, as always! The models on these mobs look really cool and so do the mechanics associated with them. The nod creator really did an awesome job on this mod.
I think it's really cool too. Only real problem I see is that all you get for killing end trolls is materials to build a chest. I think there should also be a weapon or armor of some kind. A chest just seems underwhelming

I really love the model and animation of the hellhound. I'd like to see them spawn as normal overworld night mobs that accompany skeletons, with the wither variant for wither skeletons, and some sort of zombified/rotting husky variant for the stray.
The bufflon would be like a nomad's greatest possession. It can store your items, you can ride it, it helps you fight...and it can even carry along another player!
I watch every single mod showcasd of yours bro.. you dont talk, your edits are clean and you dont spam loud earrapes and epilepsy triggers also you re straight to the point!
Please keep making more videos, these are amazing and a breath of fresh air (imo) to the mod showcases format. Your content is very informative and simple yet still manages to be entertaining because of the comedic timings with small text tidbits in your edits and transitions. I haven't touched Minecraft mods since 1.7.10 and was very hesitant to try out the newer versions. But after watching some your mods showcases, i took a crack at the game again with version 1.12.2. Needless to say, i fell in love with game and the amazing content that this community has to offer once again. Thank you ^^
Honestly, this channel should be recognized more, considering the sheer editing you put into your mod showcases. You review the mobs as if they were actual minecraft features, and I highly respect that because most mod showcases By other youtubers often skip things and details. You truly do study the mod you showcase, and you respect the mod makers. I love your channel man.
I guess the distance isn't coded for Y level only on X and Z level It would make sense too since jungle trees are too high as well as the nether roof, so the plants just don't care about the height otherwise you would calmly walk by without even noticing the plant
This was actually pretty helpful. The crabs and seahorses seemed like aquaculture, but now I know what they're from in the modpack I've been playing. The buffalo actually helped realize that it was this mod specifically added.
Acidic Archvines: Kill them regularly for hats. Hellhounds: Just kill them mercilessly. Arachnons: Kill them regularly for hammers. Crabs: Keep 60% as pets, eat 30% and ignore 10%. Seahorses: 60% as pets, eat 20% and ignore 20%. Buffalons: Kill if threaten. The rest, 70% tame and 30% ignore. End Trolls: Kill them regularly for boxes.

I want Crabs to have more mechanics. They could be tamed/healed by seaweed, which is a new food. Uncooked, it’ll fill 4 hunger, but give you nausea for 30 seconds. Cooked, it’ll fill triple of uncooked seaweed, and give you water breathing for a minute. When tamed, they get bigger (big as a the width of a cat, tail not counted). They can give you items from time to time (one or four items a few days, depending on the size of the item. For instance, he can give three or four gold nuggets, but one or two gold ingots). Crabs can give you: Iron Nuggets (75%), Gold Nuggets (65%), Iron Ingots (50%), Gold Ingots (40%), Red-stone (35%), Emerald (15%), and rarely Diamond or Netherite Scraps (both have a 5% chance). Crabs could also wield weapons. Rarely, Crabs could spawn in with a Iron Sword (which is a 14% chance. The Iron Sword is scaled to size) in it’s claws and be passive unless you don’t have any raw or cooked seaweed, it’ll become hostile, dealing the damage of a Iron Sword, and has the HP of a Skeleton. If you do have meat, you can tame it. It can’t give you items, but it’ll act like a wolf/dog, and can still be healed by seaweed. I’ll give you three guesses to what meme it’s referencing, and the first two don’t count. (1/5)
The Crab could also have subspecies too. Six in fact, all of which are tamable. The first is the Lobster, which is passive and can be tamed by seaweed as well. They are found where Crabs spawn. They have ten health untamed, and gain five when. Lobster drop Lobster Meat, uncooked fills five hunger, cooked gives you ten hunger. It will scare away Drowned by snapping it’s pincers together, acting like a Parrot. They can ride on your head when you enter a boat, or just when you right-click on them. They can also rarely be blue (5%), referencing real life lobster having a one in one million chance to be blue. Next are Hermit Crabs, which are hostile and are tamed by, you guessed it, seaweed. They are found in Sunken Ships, and hide in chests. You can tell which Chest is a Hermit Crab, because the Chest they’re in jitters. They drop Crab Meat and what was in the chest when killed. They have 15 HP, but have Iron levels of defense, and deal Stone Sword levels of damage. While the lobster looks like a blocky version of its real life counterpart, the Hermit Crab is quite different. Its main body is in the chest, its arms are on the side, being near the front of the chest, and are huge (the width of the arms are the same as a squid’s tentacle and reach as far as a one, but its pincers are the size of a Endermite), its eyes come out of the chest’s top (the eyes itself come out of stalks, which reach as far as a cat’s tale, and the eyes itself are cartoonish in size), and its legs come out the bottom of the chest. They do attack you, it doesn’t mean you can’t give it food. They always need 5 seaweed to be tamed, and when tamed, not only do they stop attacking you, they gain five health, and the chest will be colored to any color of dye, and can be changed with dye as well. The Hermit Crab acts like a Mimic when wild, and a living chest tamed. They can still attack hostile mobs, and have the same number of spaces as a chest, plus have two transformations. Throwing a Eye of Ender at the Hermit transforms the chest into a Ender Chest, making the crabs limbs have the color scheme of The End and the same abilities as well. The crab gains the ability to teleport mobs attacking you, gains ten more health, gains Iron Sword levels of damage, but it loses its defense for the ability to teleport out of danger. Giving it a Shulker Box makes its chest to a Shulker Hermit, and it changes its appearance. Its eyes and arms move to where the box opens, the arms shrink to the size of a large crabs, the legs stay where it’s at, but are bended more up, and it’s color scheme is more like an Enderman’s, with the eyes now purple. It has the same capacity of a normal Shulker Box, but have the benefit of the crab, as the crab gains the Shulker’s attack, making mobs float, gains five more health, Diamond armor levels of defense, but Wood Sword levels of damage. (2/5)
The third subspecies is the Coconut Crab, who are passive, look like there real life selves, and are generally found in Jungles and Beaches. They can be tamed/bred by Coconuts, which are new. Uncooked fills you for five hunger, cooked, or put in a crafting table gives you Coconut Milk, which acts like milk, fills you for seven hunger, and gives you a new potion effect for two minutes, Potion-Proof, making you to all potions, good and bad, so it can be a good or bad thing, depending on the situation. They have 15 HP wild. When tamed, they gain five health, and change in color from blue to purple. When around trees, Coconut Crabs will climb it, and grab fruit from it. They will give the fruit to young tamed, and the fruit ranges from Coconuts (75%), Apples (50%), Golden Apples (25%), and rarely, Enchanted Golden Apples (.01%). They can’t swim, and will drown. The last over-world type is the Horseshoe Crab, who are passive, look like themselves in real life, and are found in waters so deep that no light can reach it (so Underwater Caves). They drop Crab Meat, and are tamed/bred with fish. They have ten HP, and are the size of Silverfish. When tamed, they gain five and get on your head immediately, and will get off when you crouch, and will get on when you right click them. They can’t survive on land, and will die, unless in a water-bucket. When in water, you get infinite Water Breathing and Night Vision. (3/5)
The Nether Version of them is the Magma-Walker. They are passive, can be tamed by riding them for long enough, and can be bred with Pork Chops. If the Striders are the Pig version, then this mob is the horse. It has 20 HP wild, and 35 HP when tamed. This Crab is massive, its body is flat as a slab, its legs thick as an Enderman’s arms and 1.5x longer than ones, and its arms is as long as it’s legs, with it’s claws more like scoopers. They don’t throw you off if you ride it, they just don’t give a shit that your on it, and it’ll ignore you. However, if you have gold nuggets on you, it’ll come to you, and if you get on, he’ll be tamed. If given a saddle, it’ll go as fast as a horse would, and can be given armor. It cannot go through the portal, do to being to tall. The Magma-Walker can be on land as well, and can be put on a lead. They’re based on the Giant Spider Crab. The End Crab is called the Ender-Nightmare. It’s neutral and can be tamed/bred with Chorus Fruit (the don’t teleport when they eat it). The have 65 HP when wild and tamed, the defense of Iron, and have the damage of a Diamond Hoe. They’re not as big as a the Magma-Walker, but they’re more monstrous, looking like a mix of a spider and a crab. They have two body segments, a body and a head. The body is oval-shaped, with the bottom flat (round until it’s near the ground), and it’s bigger than the head, and the oval stops near the head, and the back side becomes a point. The head itself is like an ant’s head (without the mouth and eyes), as big as a medium-sized Slime, and they hate to be looked in the face. They “see” with the feelers where it’s mouth is. The legs and arms have the same length and with of two Ghast’s tentacles attached to each other. The hands are two snapping “jaws” (they’re claws that look like jaws) that look like a miniature mouth of a Adult Foliaath. If you wondered how they eat, the inside of the claw is a mouth (and are in between the arm and claws are the mouth, and is the size of a small slime) and the pincers of sharp “teeth” (claws) that can easily rip apart flesh. The top part of the body, head, and the arms and legs are sand colored, the bottom part of the head, body, and feelers are purple, and the pincers are black. Enderman are scared of it, and they will teleport away if they come near. I recommend a pumpkin to not anger it. When tamed, they gain a collar that can be dyed, but it’s normally red. You can’t ride it, but it’ll follow you to the over-world, as it can teleport. (4/5)
The Lobster, Coconut Crab, Horseshoe Crab, Hermit Crab, Magma-Walker, and Ender-Nightmare all have name-tag Easter Eggs. If you name a Lobster ‘Larry’, it gets floral swimwear, referencing Larry the Lobster, and honoring Stephen Hill-berg. Name a Coconut Crab ‘Boxer’, gives it boxing gloves. Naming a Horseshoe Crab ‘Shoehorse’, gives it a horseshoe on it’s back. Name a Hermit Crab ‘Jenkins’, will give a chest a beard. Name a Magma-Walker ‘Strider’, and it’ll give it strider colors. And name a Ender-Nightmare ‘Pesky Bee’ will cause it to become green, red, and brown, referencing the Duck from “DHMIS”. (5/5)

i can genuinely see crabs and sea horses being added, they fit right in with the fish variants in the ocean currently.

They have ten health untamed, and gain five when. Lobster drop Lobster Meat, uncooked fills five hunger, cooked gives you ten hunger. It will scare away Drowned by snapping it’s pincers together, acting like a Parrot. They can ride on your head when you enter a boat, or just when you right-click on them. They can also rarely be blue (5%), referencing real life lobster having a one in one million chance to be blue.
Next are Hermit Crabs, which are hostile and are tamed by, you guessed it, seaweed. They are found in Sunken Ships, and hide in chests. You can tell which Chest is a Hermit Crab, because the Chest they’re in jitters. They drop Crab Meat and what was in the chest when killed. They have 15 HP, but have Iron levels of defense, and deal Stone Sword levels of damage. While the lobster looks like a blocky version of its real life counterpart, the Hermit Crab is quite different. Its main body is in the chest, its arms are on the side, being near the front of the chest, and are huge (the width of the arms are the same as a squid’s tentacle and reach as far as a one, but its pincers are the size of a Endermite), its eyes come out of the chest’s top (the eyes itself come out of stalks, which reach as far as a cat’s tale, and the eyes itself are cartoonish in size), and its legs come out the bottom of the chest. They do attack you, it doesn’t mean you can’t give it food. They always need 5 seaweed to be tamed, and when tamed, not only do they stop attacking you, they gain five health, and the chest will be colored to any color of dye, and can be changed with dye as well. The Hermit Crab acts like a Mimic when wild, and a living chest tamed. They can still attack hostile mobs, and have the same number of spaces as a chest, plus have two transformations. Throwing a Eye of Ender at the Hermit transforms the chest into a Ender Chest, making the crabs limbs have the color scheme of The End and the same abilities as well. The crab gains the ability to teleport mobs attacking you, gains ten more health, gains Iron Sword levels of damage, but it loses its defense for the ability to teleport out of danger. Giving it a Shulker Box makes its chest to a Shulker Hermit, and it changes its appearance. Its eyes and arms move to where the box opens, the arms shrink to the size of a large crabs, the legs stay where it’s at, but are bended more up, and it’s color scheme is more like an Enderman’s, with the eyes now purple. It has the same capacity of a normal Shulker Box, but have the benefit of the crab, as the crab gains the Shulker’s attack, making mobs float, gains five more health, Diamond armor levels of defense, but Wood Sword levels of damage. The third subspecies is the Coconut Crab, who are passive, look like there real life selves, and are generally found in Jungles and Beaches. They can be tamed/bred by Coconuts, which are new. Uncooked fills you for five hunger, cooked, or put in a crafting table gives you Coconut Milk, which acts like milk, fills you for seven hunger, and gives you a new potion effect for two minutes, Potion-Proof, making you to all potions, good and bad, so it can be a good or bad thing, depending on the situation. They have 15 HP wild. When tamed, they gain five health, and change in color from blue to purple. When around trees, Coconut Crabs will climb it, and grab fruit from it. They will give the fruit to young tamed, and the fruit ranges from Coconuts (75%), Apples (50%), Golden Apples (25%), and rarely, Enchanted Golden Apples (.01%). They can’t swim, and will drown.
The last over-world type is the Horseshoe Crab, who are passive, look like themselves in real life, and are found in waters so deep that no light can reach it (so Underwater Caves). They drop Crab Meat, and are tamed/bred with fish. They have ten HP, and are the size of Silverfish. When tamed, they gain five and get on your head immediately, and will get off when you crouch, and will get on when you right click them. They can’t survive on land, and will die, unless in a water-bucket. When in water, you get infinite Water Breathing and Night Vision. (3/5)
The Nether Version of them is the Magma-Walker. They are passive, can be tamed by riding them for long enough, and can be bred with Pork Chops. If the Striders are the Pig version, then this mob is the horse. It has 20 HP wild, and 35 HP when tamed. This Crab is massive, its body is flat as a slab, its legs thick as an Enderman’s arms and 1.5x longer than ones, and its arms is as long as it’s legs, with it’s claws more like scoopers. They don’t throw you off if you ride it, they just don’t give a shit that your on it, and it’ll ignore you. However, if you have gold nuggets on you, it’ll come to you, and if you get on, he’ll be tamed. If given a saddle, it’ll go as fast as a horse would, and can be given armor. It cannot go through the portal, do to being to tall. The Magma-Walker can be on land as well, and can be put on a lead. They’re based on the Giant Spider Crab.
The End Crab is called the Ender-Nightmare. It’s neutral and can be tamed/bred with Chorus Fruit (the don’t teleport when they eat it). The have 65 HP when wild and tamed, the defense of Iron, and have the damage of a Diamond Hoe. They’re not as big as a the Magma-Walker, but they’re more monstrous, looking like a mix of a spider and a crab. They have two body segments, a body and a head. The body is oval-shaped, with the bottom flat (round until it’s near the ground), and it’s bigger than the head, and the oval stops near the head, and the back side becomes a point. The head itself is like an ant’s head (without the mouth and eyes), as big as a medium-sized Slime, and they hate to be looked in the face. They “see” with the feelers where it’s mouth is. The legs and arms have the same length and with of two Ghast’s tentacles attached to each other. The hands are two snapping “jaws” (they’re claws that look like jaws) that look like a miniature mouth of a Adult Foliaath. If you wondered how they eat, the inside of the claw is a mouth (and are in between the arm and claws are the mouth, and is the size of a small slime) and the pincers of sharp “teeth” (claws) that can easily rip apart flesh. The top part of the body, head, and the arms and legs are sand colored, the bottom part of the head, body, and feelers are purple, and the pincers are black. Enderman are scared of it, and they will teleport away if they come near. I recommend a pumpkin to not anger it. When tamed, they gain a collar that can be dyed, but it’s normally red. You can’t ride it, but it’ll follow you to the over-world, as it can teleport. (4/5)
The Lobster, Coconut Crab, Horseshoe Crab, Hermit Crab, Magma-Walker, and Ender-Nightmare all have name-tag Easter Eggs. If you name a Lobster ‘Larry’, it gets floral swimwear, referencing Larry the Lobster, and honoring Stephen Hill-berg. Name a Coconut Crab ‘Boxer’, gives it boxing gloves. Naming a Horseshoe Crab ‘Shoehorse’, gives it a horseshoe on it’s back. Name a Hermit Crab ‘Jenkins’, will give a chest a beard. Name a Magma-Walker ‘Strider’, and it’ll give it strider colors. And name a Ender-Nightmare ‘Pesky Bee’ will cause it to become green, red, and brown, referencing the Duck from “DHMIS”. (5/5)
