@@UnkownWondersThe ender dragon was already pretty good even for the time it was made. It is fully animated, and has lot of little details, not much to change.
The creepers texture has changed only slightly, if you look at old videos you'll see they're colored lighter than they are now, though this could just be a bedrock thing
What’s funny is that judging by the creeper’s design in Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends, Mojang have wanted to change the creeper’s look for years but know they will practically go bankrupt if they do.

@@zglitched_o7262 i doubt it had as much to do with fear over community backlash. as far as im aware, unlike the texture for diamonds, people in the minecraft community generally recognize the need for an updated, less noisy creeper texture but at the end of the day the design for the creeper literally has economic value. theyre probably worried about destroying brand value and recognizability by changing the creeper texture since it could literally cost them in profit but honestly unlike the grass block theyve been experimenting with a different design for a while with just keeping the green and black colors and the face of the creeper intact so honestly i think a creeper texture change would go over really well

Mojang is itching to change the creeper texture to a less noisy and darker green, like in every modern official depiction of creepers. But they know the community would outrage. Totally agree with you. But knowing that the hivemind of the community hates change through using the same old excuse "But, but, it looks modded", this will unfortunately never happen
I think the reason for the difference in quality of the models is that all of the OG models were done purely in code. In the modern game they use Blockbench to make the mob models so they’re able to add a lot more detail more easily compared to the original mobs

It's actually very possible that the bat and vex were redesigned for pixel consistency! Since the old models had larger resolutions for their size, so now they have resolutions that match their small size. Chickens dont suffer from the same problem, but another mob that has an inconsistent resolution based on its size is the ghast! its just way too little detail for a mob of that size
