Lineage 2 used to be an amazing game years ahead of the rest of MMOs. Mass pvp, mass siege, clans fighting for epic raid bosses in order to get loot etc. but unfortunately now is a bot fest, fully pay2win. Ncsoft has removed all items from the game (looting items from mobs/bosses) and they have added them for real money, it's a casino. You pay real money and you have like 1%-10% chance to get something good. Official servers are corrupted. Ofc, l2 has a very huge community, millions of players around the world that are playing on private servers.
It was a game I started playing in 2007 and played for a long 12 years, a game where you still had to think and nothing was given for free, hours of farming, bosses who were not for everyone, and battles that lasted for hours. The best period of my gaming life which I would return to without hesitation, so much nostalgia, many friends from all over the world. An unforgettable stage of my life.
Played L2 back in 2004 until 2009. I had an elf ranger back then, and seeing the elf town and aden here brought back memories.. The best & most unique MMOrpg for me.
my first serious mmorpg back in 2006. enjoyed the mass pvp and server politics between clans. such a great feeling capturing and defending castles. directing clan members on a wyvern. and messing up the server's 7 signs efforts lol. I remember having the clan's PK experts camp out at the castle siege registration npc to PK any other players who were trying to register for a siege.
Lineage 2 is an Arena for Epic adventures. But the adventures are player driven and the players have got too many bills to pay to be having adventures.
No, lineage 2 was suppose to be hard core expirience without any sort of "boting" but some intelligent player found many ways to break the game so it kind of "force" the auto farm system and the fact that all lineage2 players made families and didnt have the time they use to back then
Why did you ever touch official L2? :D If you wanna see what L2 is like wait for a real server to open. L2 Reborn in october/november, scryde x2 12th of july or eglobal in October/November. Be there the first day, it will be unlike anything you've seen in a MMO. Absolute madness. :D
On the main servers the game starts at level 105, that's why you leveled fast and thought that something wrong. For a real experience you need to play on private servers. For me greatest out of them is Elmorlab that is based on C4 update that came out back in 2005 and it has x1 exp rates.
I love your video, it just shows the massive confusion as a new player on official servers. I tried to play the official servers last year and was a bit confused too, and I've played L2 back in the day on both private servers and Officials ones (20 years ago). I think High Five was the peak L2 expansion, so if yout want to try this game and experience it at its best, go find a private server with that expansion. There are lots of servers with tons of ppl still playing. Official servers have been long dead thanks to corporate greed.
If you really want to experience something similar to what Lineage 2 was back in the day, you can play either L2 reborn (opening on november i think) or L2 Elwyn (opening in december 12). Trust me, it will blow your mind This game needs a revamp, keeping the hardcore open pvp/pk world essence and the same old school mechanica. It has vibrant music, sound efects, beautiful landscape crafting. It is immersive and emotional as no other MMORPG has ever been and people are starting to realize about it. Lots of new and old players joining the private server scene, since they realize that modern MMORPG have nothing to offer
Yeah I tried US retail L2 Aden server after 15 years of not having touched any version of the game, and I struggle to understand why anybody would touch that. They turned the game into a full solo autofarm experience, like why even start the game at all just to leave your char farming somewhere 24/7, but they still try to sell you loot boxes and quality of life features, why would anybody buy them for, make their autofarm bot life better lol ?
You absolutely have to play on private server, up to H5 chronicle. Next chronicles in line after it are bad... Implementing auto farm etc. Also, lineage is a clan game... you need to have active clan who is participating in raids and most importantly caste sieges. Otherwise you will not experience true lineage. And also, solo exp is an absolute pain on low rates, you should definitely run a few game windows with supports.
Gotta check L2Reborn private servers. There are a few in there launcher to try different rates and different expansions. Some are pvp seasonal servers and some are progressive. I classic classic low rate server is to launch in like 140 days or something. If you want your chance to experience real l2 from the beginning. Theres now dual box (everyone can only play one account) or p2w so its as authentic as it can get. gl hf hope to see you there!
I can remember the game being hardcore and unfair as fuck, thats also the appeal that people could become absolute bawlers ingame and every class was unique and unbalanced. Created a world in itself where your character became a status symbol.. no one was equal. Survival of the fittest..

My favourite mmorpg for 15+years but after the first 4 years~ never on the retail version as they absolutely destroyed the game. Private servers are where the main serious players continued playing on older updates of the game from C5 to interlude to gracia final. Watching this bastardized version of the game as your first experience is soul destroying. EVEN classic is an utter mess. Auto play, and teleporting you about, this is horrific. A serious server would have thousands of players starting around the same time, racing to be the best, in order to participate in mass pvp to control castles, control raid boss spawns and their extremely important loot. PvP was heavily team based and clans are necessity, an amazing time!
If you're looking for a balanced server with x11 rates, regular events, epic PvP/PvE battles, and no Pay to Win , this is your moment. Plus, with No Wipe and No Rollback, your progress is fully secured! See you !
L2 is special for me, so many friends till today :) I loved L2 because of pvp, mass pvp, fighting for bosses, hard farming, doing trains, hero status, game had everything i needed until ncsoft decided to ruin it, My last stand was on Giran classic - people botted, they didnt care, after all they added free autofarm and went fully p2w :( its a shame people decided to put real money into game :(
L2 classic is extremely toxic. Too many trolls play and you will go broke for attemtping to catch up. You will never catch up to the people who wasted their life savings playing this game. You will get pkd and prevented to hunt so you cannot earn any adena and you will stop leveling once you hit lvl 86. Do not start playing ever! You have been warned. But if you do.....then I wish you nothing but the best!
Bro this game is seriously nothing compared to what it was before. This game was good from Prelude open beta - Chronicles 4 After that everything went downwards, everytime I see how the game became I just wanna cry. You will never relive the real lineage 2.
@@JinxDClown What do you mean pay 2 win ? You can't buy any items that would give you any bonuses. From donate you can get hats, cloaks and premium acc. Premium acc costs 5 euro a month idk if that counts as p2w. And you can buy these coins for premium acc from people with in game currency "adena".
the caracters with same/diffrent name are mentee .. players multibox to do mentee .... mentor program.... they can get some nice items from the coins they get when the characters in the mentee lvl

Past lineage and any new versions are basically different games which have nothing in common except for some visuals. Old versions can be found on private servers but you'll get struck on youtube for making videos of these. But the game itself never was good in the first place, even in its best years. It looked good for people who didn't know how to play it properly. Balance was terrible and the only reason this game gained some popularity is players' lack of ingame mechanics knowledge back then.

I was a Lineage 2 player for many years, played with some of the biggest clans, like the Nova clan where Steaven Sherrif (yes, the creator of Ashes of Creation) was the clan leader. Unfortunately, NCSoft let the game die because they literally allowed bots and transform the game into a pay2win paradise (I made a lot of money selling itens to the whales back in the day). It was a really good MMO, what you see today in official servers, is a version of the game where they transform it to be an AFK game, with bot functions inside the game and that fuck up everything, but the original experience of leveling UP, you still can taste it on private servers that they run low rate servers just like the old days and those servers are SO MUCH BETTER than the official. A good exemple of servers with original configurations to experience what it was like back in the days is a server called l2reborn. you should take a look at it
@@ThisisNasko Me and a lot of players, i never had direct contact with him, my party was full of brazilians and we where only one of many parties in the clan, only the party leader had direct contact, at that time, every clan had almost 1,5k players in the alliance, so we must only group up the clan and the alliance when it was for some epic boss or siege war, events of mass pvp. He was the best clan leader i ever had tbh, even with so many players in the alliance, we still got a plenty of itens because we where active and we were a very good party.
