  • During downtime, Paul of the Dust Devils cleans a second-hand gold plant he bought to increase the crew's productivity but is pleasantly surprised to find out that all of the muck in the plant is full of gold that is worth much more than the gold plant itself.

      no gold catching equipment is 100% effective, there will always be a small amount that gets out, if it's processed tons of gold over it's lifetime that would be an acceptable amount to loose, they could have been running non stop for 5+ years on good ground and never bothered to wash it, or maybe its final wash they were careless in cleaning it or taking it apart causing concentrates to leak out, maybe they just never bothered to empty it after it's final wash, i doubt this machine is loosing much gold.

      Could be operator error as well. Big mining companies dont always have the most diligent employees.

      Some of the machine and labour are rented and they are calculated by hours so down time means they are losing money.

      Renting the machines are hourly, the water, waste, man power etc, then calling someone in to fix it would cost a premium, calculate the money they would make if it was up and running and there you go

      @@shanepowers7566 it's not a lie its from time lost. They make a set amount of money an hour if the plant is running so.If it's down for a amount of hours they lose that plus maintenance etc etc

      I mostly feel bad for the bobcat driver. He does the majority of work and all the dirtiest jobs and prob gets the least pay there.

    It funny they but the centrifuge concentrator for $8000 AUD and recover 3.61 ounces of gold just cleaning off the dirt. At $2,389.59 AUD per ounce of gold that equals $8,626.41 AUD so they make money buying the new equipment without even running the thing.

      I feel what we are seeing is real, but the script came with the filming crew. Remember them car build shows where a car had to be finished by a certain deadline? Film crews can’t seem to get that format out of their minds.
