Coconut meat depending how old the coconut when harvest. We have different textures in fresh coconut meat from the tree. When they are young there's no meat just the juice.we love also "Mala Uhog" the meat is just like Gel,we have mala Kanin means rice like texture-the one we used & mix for fruit salad - The most common age for sale.then the rubbery once that I like to scrape and mix with the juice, then as they grow older the shell gets harder and the meat for full grown coconut ,these are the coconut they use for candies, add to cakes. Of course the taste of the juice inside changes as they age. You have to know about fresh coconut tree and how they taste on different age and the juice. I am from the Philippines and I know about this. the Coconut milk we buy in can came from the matured ones with dark brown shell the meat is hard but like by so many to chew and also Coco Lopez with syrup mix with drink. We're lucky to get them at that stage with the rubbery texture age which is the right one. I really get upset when I don't get that texture for paying now $3.99 here in New Jersey or more in other store just to taste fresh coconut in that stage and very lucky to find them in 4 places.I pay only .40 cents for that when back home or even free. Also Philippines export some of our coconut to Thailand for processing for export world wide.

Please do you have any idea of how they process it to get it to last for months? Thanks

They are getting mature that's why the meat is harder than the fresh young thai coconuts

The young coconuts we get in Cali are from Melissa’s and I get them at Sprouts or Vons/Albertsons for about $4.00 which I think is pretty good. I have noticed that some of those coconut do have water with flavor that varies. As far as the meat goes, I suppose it is rubber. I always just thought it was normal. I feel like I have to pay more attention this time around. 😮

I don't deny your first hand experience with actual fresh young Thai coconuts in Thailand but why do I feel a sense of undeniable electricity and the "feel-goods" when I drink certain ones? I do notice when they're not right and don't have that electric vibe to them and I usually just throw them away. especially when they look gnarly and purple. Its harder to come across the "dank" ones. For instance maybe 3-4 will be dank out of a case of 9. in that case i throw out 5-6 of them. Yea shitty i know lol. Idk I'm on the fence with this one. "No way! No wayyy!" lol

I am sorry but your wrong .
I am a food scientist and own a young coconut packing house exporting coconuts to Canada
    These aren’t cooked.
The taste of the water changes 2 weeks after coconut water remains in the shell. If you have more questions comment and maybe we can get each other’s contact and I can explain further.

but cooking doesint make things last longer... and i tbh i disagree that they cook them, why would they? i drink a lot of coconut water and i can definitely taste the difference between cooked and raw, and the young thati coconuts (that i get at least) are definitely raw. Some of these videos are verging on sounding orthorexic... Sure its great to eat raw but your mental health and happiness about what your eating is just as important as how physically healthy the food you consume is.. being raw does not automatically make you healthy overall, and making food your main focus in life is obsessive. You have to take into account your mental health and pleasure, and the human connection and fun that is present in your life, food is a small aspect of ones life. I know you are a raw food enthusiast which i think is wonderful but watching this video and remembering your video where u seemed scared to eat greens makes me worry about how raw food seems more like an obsession to me more than a healthy lifestyle. I went down that path recently too and i've realized its just not worth it, and its not going to make me healthier to only eat very raw "pure" foods if i don't have fun doing it. Health is about BALANCE, while i do agree fruit is an optimal food for humans, theres really no one specific way to be healthy. Some people smoke and drink all their lives but are surrounded by friends and fun experiences and live a long happy healthy life free from illness. peace and love

I agree 100%. I've been raw for the past 4 months and I noticed many other things in my life declining that I feel are more important than just raw food. And videos like these make me think twice about my "diet" ...I've been high carb cooked vegan before and felt pretty great with steady energy and fitness in addition to being able to go out and eat (vegan of course) with some of my best friends. This seems like being on the verge of orthorexic but whatever no judgement. I can see more clearly what I truly want out of my diet now and quite honestly "raw til 4" is fine. I'm not a cooked food addict I'm just being logical. And this is me feeling this way and I haven't even had a cooked meal yet. it's something that I've been thinking about this past week. Nothing to do with "cooked food addiction cravings" haha psh
