Korea needs to stop discriminating against single moms. No wonder so many feel they must give up their baby because of social stigma and shame and lack of support. But change means a major cultural shift in traditional attitudes
and since Korea is so conservative, it is asking a lot.

If it wasn’t so expensive people would adopt 2 maybe 3.

Korea and China need to lower their adoption fees if they want the kids to be in homes. the agencies charge like $20-40k per baby/child. They sell them like they’re cars.

Korea is out of the mass adoption business. They'd rather not have poor people adopt Korean kids and intentionally have made the hurdles difficult. (Literally, there are income requirements to adopt from Korea now.)

THAT will never happen. It’s a money making Industry with these people!!

6 out of 10 ending in institutions seems very very low. Has to be closer to 9 out of 10. No way are 40% of the kids getting adopted domestically / internationally.

If I don't get married to the person I want by the time I turn 30 , I will just adopt a child leave all my inheritance to her . I don't see the need of having a sperm donor baby with no father, I feel like I'm adding to the ratchet single mom that pledges this world so its much better I adopt and give back to my community .

Yeah children are a commodity that should be cheaper esp Asian children, yeah!

Why the hell are those parents in the US turning to Korea to adopt babies? Huh? Oh they want a precious little Asian baby and don't give a damm about American children, of which there are PLENTY to adopt. These people should be LAST in line to adopt these kids. Keep Korean children in Korea!

umm, adoption should be comfortable. Same race adoptions create WAY less tension for the kids and parents. And actually, it's pretty difficult to adopt in America.

South Korea has strict rules on who can adopt. Single parents are not on the list.

If Koreans don't put their "lifestyle " as second in importance and Start having children it will be korea's demise

Hey there, any South Korean families out there wanting to adopt teenagers please inform me. Me and my younger sister are looking for someone to adopt us. I'm 16 y/o and she is 11. Our family don't know bout this. We wanna get adopted asap. Our family is really toxic, we wanna get out of this mud. We wanna be an idol and we both got so much potential but our family is really against it, they just want us to marry at really early age. Anyone interested or know someone who can help please reply
