The Last Retinue - A Dawnless Night

"The raiders burned the rest of the village down and left the site in a bloom of smoke until silence. All was silent in the streets of Kellethwin. Soon from the road came a woman, dressed in a transparent white gown began to sing.
A young girl who hid from the raiders in the far bushes saw this woman and realized that she was praying to the lost souls of Kellethwin and began to sing. For she was the goddess of death, and was guiding the souls of the decreased to her kingdom."
After the raid most of the civilians of Killethwin were gone from the world. The goddess of death then appears to save their souls from the untimely death that they succumb too.
The violins express the deep sadness from the event. The etherial voice of the goddess echoes through the streets of the once bustling town.
