I'm not a cyclist Dave but still thoroughly enjoyed that. May is my favourite month and it was great to see all the wildlife. Those daisies and sand martins were brilliant. Bye for now, Chris
Great video, loved the waffle on what sounded like Radio 4, your filming style is so watchable, the pyjamas, the Skylarks, and the sound of a Cuckoo near the end! Classic.
Thank you so much Lesley, yes love the PJs there so cosy and remind me of home😂I used to listen to radio 4 all the time but a bit out of the habit now. God I love the sound of the cuckoo in fact I heard one here in Leicester at home fist time for 15 years. Thanks for watching and ATB ❤️🏕️👍😊🚴
So good to see you get out on an adventure Dave. Pub food can often be disappointing these days and so pricey. WeatherSpoons is great though. You found two lovely quiet camping spots. So glad your nightmare was n’t true. Really good going 50 miles a day. I think I’d struggle to do that at moment. I will plan a cycle camp soon hopefully 👍🇬🇧😄
Hiya Richard so nice to hear from you and I’m sure all is well. 🙏I did enjoy the cycle camping but won’t be rushing out to do another soon but definitely want to get out on another hiking trip asap. Really appreciate your watch and again really nice to hear from you. ATB 🚴😊🏕️🙏
I used to do a bit of cyclo camping a few years ago Dave, I might just dig out some of the gear I used and have another go. Thanks for a great video, you show us all how it's done time after time mate!
Hey thank you Phil, that’s really nice of you to say that, I enjoyed it but won’t be rushing out anytime soon it’s not as good as hiking 😊👍🍻🏕️ Yea get your gear out and give it another go.
Nice video Dave, always watch from start to finish as you tell a good story 🙂👍🏻 That bit listening to the radio - “enough of that waffly bol***ks…” 😂😂 Freedom eh. Enjoy. Hey you did well keeping up with that bird 🦅 flying along at speed when you were filming. Look forward to watching the next adventure. Cheers for now. Gav
Fully agree Dave, I've been mountain biking since the bikes were invented and sometimes when out on trail I think I wish I had a bike on certain sections but It doesn't compare with walking under your own steam in the mountains. Being on a bike is like being inside a car. The land rushes by and you don't get that deeper connection like when you are walking with your feet on the ground as nature intended. 👍🍺
Really enjoyed that Dave...glad the second burger was better than the first...i love a pint in Wetherspoons..love to hear the song birds, Blackbirds are a big fave with me too...good to see your bike was still there after camping near Gainsborough...its a nice town but rough around the edges..A few familiar sights as you neared Scunny....also spotted the road near Hatfield...think i also spotted Sykehouse lock...i walk along the New junction canal at least once a week..A great trip
Absolutely enjoyed that Dave, oh man 50 miles in one day! lol I would have been crawling into bed and not coming out for a week! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That Steve Hengist has got a lot to answer for, causing you to have a nightmare! 😂😂😂😂 Totally agree with you, that everyone on the planet has a view on something or the other! I respect all people with views on any subject............ however I do not agree with any viewpoint that involves trying to bully me into their way of thinking or any form of violence to propagate such a view! Live and let live is my moto! I wanted to relax tonight and this adventure has not only relaxed me, but been encouraging! Thankyou so much for sharing! ❤
This video was/is ace Dave. I'm impressed at the distance that you covered and now I know why you're much fitter than me, it's not because I'm bone idle and lazy, it's all that bloody cycling which you do, lol. The weather looked spot on for your trip and it also looked like a nice and flat journey, perfect for cycling. It was also great to see you keeping hydrated via beer in the pubs along the way.👍 Sorry to hear about loosing your camera bracket/holder thing, but it was good to know that I'm not the only person who loses stuff on a trip.🙂 Those two spots where you pitched up at looked idyllic, far from the madding crowd and peaceful. I also liked your narration throughout the trip, it was very descriptive, informative, interesting and entertaining mate. When you were commenting on the radio program, it reminded me of when we were up at Ronksley Cabins where I was talking back to the radio, lol. When you mentioned 'everybody has points of views', you could have said instead; 'Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has them'.🙂 I'm also sorry for giving you night 1 nightmares, however, it was good to know that I was still kinda on this trip with you mate.🙂 This was a top bit of viewing Dave, I really enjoyed watching this.👍
I've been saying for ages I must do a bike camp. But having to camp so close to roads, people etc puts me off. Can't believe you wore pyjamas either mate lol. Sorry, I found that amusing. Keep it up mate
Thank you Dave, I quite enjoy trying to find a pitch in an urban area it’s quite exciting Dave. Yes the PJs been taking them for a couple of years now, nice and comforting 😊🤣👍 ATB Dave and I’ll catch your latest adventure soon. 🏕️🌞
You see very fit dave I'm sure I couldn't cycle that distance, not at the drop of a hat that's for sure , I expect its fairly level along the river , that's like me squeezing into my tera nova laser last week , I need to get out again very soon
@@SarahOutdoors1957 I used to do a lot of excercise Sarah but it all stopped when I cared for my mum for 3 years that was about 7 years ago and I never got back into it , I’m older and happy with how things are, I do virtually no excercise now other than the little trips. Thanks 👍🙏

Hey Fraser , I have invited Steve up to Scotland but he’s not keen maybe he saw the future 🤣 Been a while since I’ve been to Knoydart the last time I was leading a group of motorcyclists around the inner Hebrides and we left the bikes in Mallaig and had a great night at the Inn there.
