About this channel: We are the Smith's. A family of 5, living in the country just outside of Georgetown, Texas. Granger, a touring country music singer, Amber, an actor and stay at home mom, and their children: London, Lincoln and River.
They were protecting you, doing exactly what there instincts tell them. Called unconditional love. Very few humans are incapable of it.

I hate to sound like a Debbie downer but dogs are not capable of love. They do what comes naturally & we can get them into the habit of showing us affection in order to get some in return but they don't know love. But i agree that it does seem like love. The dog here was protecting his prize, not his master.
Pray for Jimmy Houston's sweet wife, Chris 💙🙏 Chris had a stroke, She is such a sweetheart..... Praying for a full recovery🙏 Jimmy loves his wife of many years like no other, their relationship is so precious 💜💛💕

When my 15 year old was 8, our Great Pyrenees, Heidi, was snapping at him being "vicious" towards him, not letting him venture into a part of our yard. We had never seen her act like that because she was out 80 pound gentle giant. Turns out we had a giant rattlesnake hidden exactly where he would always go to play. She had saved him, and as soon as we took care of the snake, she started jumping all over him giving him kisses. That night she got grilled steak for dinner!
We lost her to cancer just before Christmas, but they stayed bonded buddies from when he was 5 right to the end. Family dogs really are faithful to their humans.
To Dinelle and Family, So sorry to hear about your dog. We lost Our's right around this time last year. We had him for 16 years. His name is Diseal. Actually Our Oldest Son saved him, from his previous Owner. Diseal was a pit, but didn't like being violent. Our Son saw what the Owner was doing to him. And Our Son went over and told the Person, he was not going to allow Diseal to be abused or to let him to try to get Diseal into abusing. Our Son politely asked, if he could have Diseal? And if the Person didn't allow him to have him, he was going to turn him in for illegal Dog fighting. The previous Person who originally had him, was also trying to get Diseal to mate with everyone who would all it. Shortly after Our Son rescued him, he set up his vet appointment, so he couldn't be used like that. It's really sad because Pits get a bad rep. because of what some really mean People do to them. Once Diseal knew he was loved for the great dog he was. Our Son would always introduce him as either his Son or Buddy. Unfortunately he work up around 5:30 having a seizure. This time last year, we were locked in. We couldn't find an animal hospital open for 24 hrs, because of all the restrictions. We finally found one that was opening up at 9:00 a.m. They allowed Our Sons to rush him over. Even though they did everything they could to save him. The news they were told 2 hrs later was so heartbreaking. Because of how long he was seizing for, he suffered severe brain damage. Because of the strict rules and regulations due to Covid. Our Sons couldn't even be with him, as he was put to peace. He didn't have covid, but We feel we lost him due to covid. We had several other dogs through the years. And We had two that past due to Cancer. Strange how Our furry pets are just as much as Our family members as Our Children. Where We live, we were lucky enough not to have to deal with snakes. Our pets had their share of running into other animals, like skunks. Bathing them in tomato juice wasn't the answer. We tried all kinds of air fresheners, shampoos for the dogs, we had to deal with the smell for 2 weeks. I don't know if you Guys know, they finally have insurance for Our pets. You might want to check into it. Right now, We're taking a break from getting another dog or cat. Every animal We have had the blessing of having, Our Sons rescued them. I just saw this comment. Sometimes the blessing is in the breaking. Sorry for your lost. God Bless your Family.

Omg I couldn't take it living in a state where there are venomous snakes as a mom and dog lover/ owner I would have anxiety attacks daily. Knowing dogs protect their family and will die doing so and kids just don't pay attention and are always playing in dirt/rocks/ sticks (boy mom here) I know either my kid or my other kid(my dog Teddy) would be killed. Idk how ppl do it unless they get their whole yard and beyond sprayed for snakes and then I still don't know if I could do it knowing one could still get in the house and kill them or me. Omg
I read a story about two rotties that refused to go on the daily remote mountain hike.
The owner could not figure out why they were refusing to go on their favorite activity?
He decided to just skip it this once. Within a short time he had either a heart attack or a stroke something very serious like that.
He survived and credits that to his dogs sensing the episode.
Dogs are absolutely incredible, I can't live without them.
@@mariocruz6281 Thats a heartbreaking story and I’m truly sorry for your loss. We had our dog Buster put down last October but were lucky to find a Vet to come to the house to do it. All these covid rules are horrible with veterinarian offices. Hoping you find another best furry friend sometime like we did with our loving English Shepherd Lucy😊

We don’t do screens in our house besides for occasionally letting my kids play my phone..We don’t even have a tv and my kids play so well! I like that you do no screens on Sunday! So good for the kids to use their own imaginations and know how to entertain themselves.

Amber...I live out in the country here in Wisconsin. We dont have screen time here. The kids play outside all the time with the chickens, sheep, puppy and love to go back to the woods. The only screen time they have is at school. Trying to give them the country life I had as a kid. I got my YEE YEE shirt and hat in the mail a few days ago and LOVE IT ALL!!! Just a week ago I went to a women’s encounter oh my it was such an amazing event. It’s called Ashes to Beauty and it’s in Missouri. We had over 800 women there for the whole weekend. There is also a men’s encounter and they have such a great time. It’s so much fun to get up sing, dance, praise the lord, and to listen to these testimonies that will make you cry. I would love for y’all to check it out. God bless you and I am so excited watching your belly grow and excited to meet the new Smith!!!

My 23 year old baby has always liked Mulan. And her reason was because she was a Disney Princess and didn't need a man to save her. Lol. 💜💜💜
Aurora has always been my favorite princess too! But I also love Merida as a more recent princess! My son had a big crush on Elsa for the longest time! 😂

We had no cable or tv when my kids were growing up, it was before EVERYONE had a cell phone in the 80's and 90's I had a cellphone because of my job but we still had a landline until 2006 !!. We need to get back to this way of thinking as well as homesteading!!!

I would love to learn how to skip rocks. My Grandchildren only have family movie night on the CD player one night a week,usually Saturday. They have no other screens. What a difference that makes. I usually go over for game night on Saturday’s. We live on a huge lake so there is always something to do. Head towards Louisiana for a concert,you are only a few hours from me.
Cinderella is my favorite, she's fun. Especially in the second movie where she's super kind through each story told about her 💙 she has a cute story

Granger, when my Standard Poodle was 3 I took him to "Rattlesnake Avoidance Class". He is my Service Dog and VERY IMPORTANT to me. The class was held at the Vets office. My dog gets a whiff of a snake and pulls me away from it. His reaction is something he only does when a snake is around. Living 15 miles away from Lake Tahoe in Gardnerville Nevada Rattlesnakes are common. I love your incredible family and I don't want to see you lose a family pet. I have also trained him to "leave it" because he is so fast picking up a chicken bone. As much as he wants it he will drop it as fast as I say Leave It. Wishing you the best.

During summer breaks we only allow screen time for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening. The rest of the time must be spent playing outside... The only exception is if it's raining. Thank you for sharing your family with us. It's such an inspiration seeing how you are raising your family with Godly values and morals.... Keep up the great work! God bless.
