A rare case when a master distiller is genuinely interested in talking and discussing bits and pieces, but not just sitting there as a dummy. It’s fair to say that Tomatin has really enhanced its whisky quality throughout a decade. Nice presentation. Eunson is a great brand ambassador - he seems very knowledgeable, has genuine enthusiasm and a great sense of humor! Tomatin seems to be one of those malts that contain a faint hint of sulfur compounds, which provide a savory element to the flavor of the spirit. Their whisky (the 12yo in particular) has noticeably improved in recent years, so they would appear to be making a serious attempt at raising their profile in the Scotch whisky market. Would love for them to increase the ABV to 46% in their 12. This is a distillery to keep an eye on.

'Legacy' is probably the most underrated entry-level malt ever!
Visiting the area next month, so will be keen to visit. Staying at Megs Garden.
Last year we had a tour at Tomatin. We did the whiskey testing up there as well. So far Tomatin 12 yrs is my favorite.
I just bought Tomatin 15 American Oak for my first non peated single malt whiskey. I wanted something sweeter to try. I hope i love it.
