    BT saying Lindor is just starting to play well in year 4 of being in NY. Dude he finished Top 10 in MVP the last 2 seasons. Come with some facts, not feelings. This the same dude that told us Anthony Volpe was better than Lindor. This is the same dude that told us Nimmo wasn’t any good.

    • @TRUMPKILLA

      Top 10 in MVP? What does that even mean?? That's not a stat!! Go back to 2022 when this team TANKED after celebrating a Wild Card birth. A real MVP doesn't let that happen!! Real team leaders don't let the team pop champagne DURING THE SEASON just to celebrate the Wild Card. Lindor has been a HUGE disappointment up until this season!

      Lindor's clutch stats were atrocious. He was batting under .200 well into May. No need for revisionist history. Guy was objectively bad for the first 6 weeks of the season. Outside of the top-20 shortstops in most offensive categories.

    BT's perception of Lindor, like a lot of people's perception of Lindor, that he was better in Cleveland, is just wrong. Other than his BA and Ks not much has changed and you can argue that he's been better in some areas. It's clear that Lindor's first year in NY was the aberration - just like it was for Beltran. Unfortunately, those first impressions never went away for many Mets fans about Beltran and it looks like they won't go away about Lindor either unless he wins an MVP or a WS MVP.

    • @jayjayfrmstatefarm9363

  • @madwax1360
    @madwax1360 21 день назад +1

    When he first came to NY, he always wanted to hit leadoff...that's mostly were he hit in Cleveland, and is were he's most comfortable. I think the plan was for him to be the new face of the franchise, and be the captain, so they wanted him to drive in runs. You Met's fans might remember, they tried this with Curtis Granderson (2014?) because he had pop, but he did horrible in the cleanup position, and moved him back to leadoff where there was less pressure to drive in runs. Lindor is an excellent player as long as he's not THE guy....not every player has the mindset and discipline to drive in runs in almost every situation....JD Martinez can do it, Francisco Alvarez can do it, Nimmo is starting to do it, so is Vientos. Lindor can't do it, McNeil has trouble, so does Pete....they let the situation get the best of them. I wouldn't be surprised if Lindor keeps this up the second half, and becomes an MVP candidate. Keep the pressure off him, and let him do his thing.

    Lindor doesn’t hit consistently until June. It’s frustrating but I think we have to accept that that’s who is. Who knows if it’s psychological or physical or weather or what but the guy plays like a good defensive bench player until the summer hits.

      After Lindor 1 for 31 streak to begin the season Lindor hit .261 from April 7th until June started. .261 is hitting consistently & he did that for 7 weeks leading up until June. So “Lindor doesn’t hit consistently until June” is incorrect.

    Listen im happy with Lindor bouncing back. And Nimmo for that matter..... but to say MVP caliber play is a stretch and to call them All Star snubs is off putting. I mean.... cone on..... 2 of the worst first months of a season for both of them EVER !!!!! Lets applaud the bounce back but not be prisoners so much to call them MVP's or All Stars.
