my biggest hurdle on editing is getting my head down and actually doing it, without distractions, notifications, people stopping me to ask stuff, door bell going off, emails/calls of clients asking when their stuff is ready, etc
@@nVuFilms yeah but sometimes, i throw a wrap stabilizer, i see it will take 20 sec to stabilise, i look at the second screen and distract myself for 10-30min because i didnt want to stare at a 20sec stabilisation being put on
Was hoping for a editing workflow…some sort of editing template with specific shots that work well in and out of order from start to finish. Glad your video helped other people.
Wow! After shooting the wedding I felt like I needed to take the day after to do nothing and decompress. xD Props to you though! Editing on an SSD sounds like something I really should start doing. Appreciate the video!
I'm editing a wedding video this week and I've held off, but my deadline is coming up ugh! I haven't cut a wedding video in years :( I'm an experienced editor who does breaking news type of cuts, but this wedding cut is a whole different feel for me.
Do you prefer 60 or 120 frames on a wedding day? I always loved 120 more personally, but can be a little slow for weddings because there’s not much movement but I still find myself shooting 120 😅
Yo fam i loved this video so much! The one day turn over is everything! just got a new PC because proxies with the A7Sii is trash. Not quite as good at editing where i want to be, But i will be investing into those drives. Im just a You Tube bag and i only have one wedding under my belt. I love all the super knowage you drop . I will be using in my prodution as i grow! Thank you so much for all your excellent wisdom!
I know you said in a previous video you use a Fuji slog to rec709 lut with some adjustments after the fact. I would love to know the post log to rec709 adjustments you make. I've used the fuji conversion lut on sony log footage and it looks great, but just slightly off. Would definitely pay for a complete LUT from you. keep it up!
Just filmed my first wedding so I'm looking for some tips and I love your videos. Are you talking about the post wedding trailer? Or is this about the full video that the couple receives? Great point about the marketing. I'm searching for a song right now so I can get a short trailer together for the couple.
3am edits! Dedication Your a7s iii work is inspiring! Do you still use the zeapon slider? The horizontal panning is easy, but how do you get the smooth pan and TILT on such a small tripod? Work looks great
Hey Vu, do you edit in 24 frames? Or in 60 FPS frames so your panning shots get smoother? My panning shots (a7iii) always look jittery! Hope to hear from you. Greetz from the Netherlands.
Awesome video Vu. I used the same SD Cards with the Prograde reader and get 200+mb transfer speeds its amazing. I wanted to ask what your editing software preference is cause I'm looking at Da Vinci but currently use Premiere
I love your videos , I use M1 in editing with Final Cut is very Fast and Premier too ( i hate Adobe because ... ) but M1 is not good in Software like After effect und Cinema 4D .
So I am doing a wedding next year and it will only be me. I have an A7iii (upgrading to A74) and a A7SIII. I was going to use the A7SIII on a Ronin SC to walk around and have the other on a tripod. What would you do for that set up? Also because you shoot in Slog3 how do you deal with the ISO, SS and aperture to keep it over exposed by 1-2 stops? Especially on a gimbal. I want to shoot it in Slog3 which I have gotten pretty good with but nervous too. The lenses I have to work with also are 17-28 Tamron 28-75 Tamron 70-300 Sony G

that Sandisk SSD (high speed) has been a deal-breaker for me. Love it

Gigabyte aero 16 or MacBook pro m1.

So you don't need longer than 3 hours to edit the whole wedding film? :D
Great info. Makes me want to pick up a solid state drive. Do you shoot in 4.2.2 or 4.2.0?

Would you recommend the Lexar version of the v90 SD instead of the prograde version?
