He was a very tormented soul! After his marriage broke up, he was loosing all hope! That with the drug problems, he jus couldn’t cope anymore! He didn’t stop to realize that he was very much needed in his sons life! Too bad someone didn’t step in to help him! R.I.P. Freddie! We miss you so much!
It's a little ironic that the actor who portrayed Freddie in Can You Hear the Laughter is now an ordained pastor serving in a congregation in Los Vegas. I've caught a few of Pastor Ira's sermons. Interesting guy. Would be wild if he were to recreate this sometime.
@@chrisbacos l remember hearing the news on NBC Today. I thought it was unreal; especially since l had just seen him on the same show 2 years prior with Jack Albertson being interviewed on that same show.
"L-O-O-O-O-O-O-KIN' G-O-O-O-D"!! Yeah I miss Freddie Prinze too folks! Especially when he told the short story on the show, when he said something about when the little dog sat in a "57 Chevy, and his little head went Up 'N down, Up "N down, Up "N down, etc., etc.!! I LMFAO to this day in the 21st century!! RIP Freddie Prinze.
The '57 Chevy also had besides the little dog in the back that went' up and down pompoms on the aerials and cellophane seat covers. RIP Freddie - you gotta be making them laugh in heaven.
I remember some of the episodes back then. But this will be forever immortalized a moment in history to witness a form of his stand up comic. Oh what it would be like to see him in person? Ty for posting this.
It's hard to believe Prinze was about 20 years old here. Not only did he look older, but his humor, delivery and confidence are that of someone much older. It's sad that he shot himself at 22 years old.
The doctors were more interested in milking Freddie for whatever they could get out of him. The family was also able to get 2 out of 3 life insurance policies to get paid that still had active suicide and contestability clauses (although he left a note they were able to prove it was not suicide since Freddie had a deadly habit of playing Russian roulette with his pistol - he'd pretend to shoot himself but with the safety on - so the courts ruled that two of the policies had to be paid to the family. They ruled the carrier was off the hook regarding the third (newest policy) since Freddie didn't disclose his extensive drug usage - when he bought the other two policies he did not have heavy drug usage back then so he told the truth regarding those two policies.
pity there arent more uploads of chico and the man. i remember the one where tony orlando was on... ed said ,' oh my goodness, now theres two of them..!' it was umpteen years ago but i still remember that.....loved the show . i was in school but stayed up late to watch this and Taxi..
+rory lewellen Do you remember the Newsweek cover with his picture on it? I was 11 when this happened and it was so sad because he was such a great talent.
Being Me not all Latinos have African blood. Some do, some don’t. Latinos can be mixed with a lot of things. And Hispanics defines any person who speaks the Spanish language. So he is Hispanic.
Does anyone know if in season 4 of Chico and the man if at the end of the credits at the bottom under the wolper logo if it says A Warner communications Company. By this time Warner had bought Wolper.
HI!! Can someone upload raul runs away episode 2,,!! That was film in mexico and I was in that film when I was 12 years old and I like to show my sons,, thank you!!
Sad that after filming this that night at the hotel he stayed at he killed himself. So if you think about it this was real emotion and not acting. Saying goodbye.
This way of thinking is such a cop out. Just a bunch of Christian dogma and judgment. Freddie did what he came here to do and left. What he did or didn't do ain't your business. Worry about YOU.
Freddie remembers this "sermon" every second since his death...as he (very tragically) continues to reside (St. Matthew 22:13) in the OUTER-DARKNESS! Wake-up people of the world!!
People wonder why they have certain issues in their life. He mocked God’s word. Very sad. He mocked the Bible and it was the same God who could of saved him the last hour of his life.
One of my favorite tv programs as a child,i cried when the news break announcement came out 😢

47th anniversary of his passing and his talent still remains to be some of the best 😢❤🙏🏼too young and too tormented for this world 🌎
Freddie Prinze was an amazing talent! Rip Freddie we still miss you!

On the sixth day, God created laughter and saw that it was good! Freddie Prinze was gone too soon from this world.
He does this every Sunday in heaven 😂
😂❤
Me Tv should show Chico and The Man.
That would be nice. I watched the show when I was 10
YES!!!
Antenna TV should try to get the rebroadcast rights
Or Antenna TV or the app Pluto TV.
If only sermons at my church were as awesome as this!
AMEN TO THAT!!!!
I watched those when they first aired, I hated when we lost Freddie.
Just think if he had lived, he would've been giving us some great comedic moments.
He was very funny, I followed him back when he was doing Chico and the man show. I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard he had took his life
@@billbond1169 same here. One of those "where were you?" moments.

That was the absolutely best sermon about Noah and the ark. Everyone like it.
What a loss...HE was so talented

REMEMBERING FREDERICK KARL PRUETZEL "FREDDIE PRINZE"
(JUNE 22, 1954 -JANUARY 29, 1977) [06/22/2018]
its amazing how fast he can change his accent!
Love Chicos shirt
TRUTH.
"Brother Brown, sit thee down."
PUREHEART.
🤣
So sad a man of such comic genius left us so soon.
Freddie would have loved Freddie Jr. in Scooby Doo...he would have probably come to the premiere in 2002.
Chico was telling the story of Noah's ark but it comedy style, very funny!!!! Liked it.
A tragic loss at 22
RIP Freddie Prince and thanks for making me laugh over the years
Ed
He coined that saying "Is no my yob.." even today my wife of 40 years will use the phrase when she doesn't feel like doing a job.
I'm rewatching That 70's show and Kelso & Jackie make a reference to Chico and the man "Lookin Good!"
(Michael....do your Freddie Prince imitation)
He would've killed on Saturday night live
Loved this show!!!!
Looking good
Wow. I hadn't seen this sermon since I was a pre-teen 30+ years ago. That "Sahara Ocean" line stuck in my head all these years.
3:07. Brother Brown sit thee down!!! LOL 😂
I Can watch this all day long
Freddie Prinze,George Carlin,Richard Pryor,Redd Fox,and Lenny Bruce G.O.A.T.S
you just named all the Heavy Hitters!
Top comedians of the 1960s through the 1970s. Power group
GOATS?
His comedy is still relevant today. He was brilliant. Brings to mind Robin Williams, but not as maniacal.
I was thinking the same thing watching this clip.
The preacher was Ronnie Graham. He was a comic and character actor and singer. He was famous for playing Mr. Dirt in the TV commercials.
elmerhobbit1130 who ronnie
Ronnie Graham did the same role in Spaceballs

It was the medication, the doctors misdiagnosed him, gave him the wrong medication and it led to his suicide. The family sued and won the case.
@@kevinwilliams3668 I'm glad his family won the case. That goes to show the doctor's did not care about his depression at all.

Freddie Jr. Sounds just like his dad...especially in the scene in Scooby when he is brainwashed into a surfer guy.
love his stand ups
RIP Freddie
Ed
He's the reason I wanted to marry a Puerto Rican man, he was hot, Freddie Prinze
Monica Chuidian yes indeed. 😀😉
Amen!
amazing to see Ed Brown in church
Heather Wanamaker his two cents worth was funny. "Imagine the smell" lol.
@Joseph Van Buren 😂🤣💀
probably amazing that the church roof didn't cave in with Ed in church.
How many of those present in this cut might today still be alive???????? LUCILDA!!!! "THAT'S A GREAT PARTY THE OTHER NIGHT!!!!"
"Now,start getting loaded!" Too funny!
"I can live in my art but not in my life." --from the film Autumn Sonata. Why that quote seems to be so true for gifted comedians is tragic.
@4:47..."Chico, you were wonderful". 👏👏👏👏👏👏. All that praise, and all those accolades made him so insecure and sent him to an early grave.
I Am Weeeeeeaaaakkkk❤❤❤❤😭🤣🤣😅🤣
Freddie and the 70s....
this was straight up funny.

R.I.P Freddie Prinze. AMEN to his sermon!!
😁
omg that is amazing remembered awesome
He could have lived, giving us " good jokes " about masks, hand sanitizers, and the covid-19 mess...
This was awesome...:)
When tv shows were actually good
This sermon was delivered several hours prior to the death of Mr. Prinze. He shot himself the same day as this was taped.
that is very strange almost eerie
+rory lewellen Do you remember the Newsweek cover with his picture on it? I was 11 when this happened and it was so sad because he was such a great talent.
Yes, he was great. it was such a tragedy
actually, the last episode taped several hours before his tragic death was the episode Ed Talks To God
Wow i didn't know that
Old long Lost Pal
The Preacher in "Chico and The Man" looks like the Tv Preacher Robert Tilton, who was popular in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
And that turd made a comeback years ago with a new church and a new wife!
Chico and the Man.
According to Wikipedia, Prinze shot himself just hours after this scene was taped.
A damn shame. In this scene, Prinze is at the height of his powers and in his element.
Not sure about the time frame, Prinze lost a tin of weight before he died
Nope this is from season 2. Aired a full year before he died
He's so so funny
Ed
He had so much potential
Let his dogs take over his drug habits..This was final taping..He shot himself, the following mornimg, he shoots himself..
😂 funny!
I want his shirt...
Lol its hilarious how freddie sounds so much like a black man other than a hispanic
He's Latino, not Hispanic.
Same roots, Sis. AFRICA.
Being Me not all Latinos have African blood. Some do, some don’t. Latinos can be mixed with a lot of things. And Hispanics defines any person who speaks the Spanish language. So he is Hispanic.

Where did you see the first part ? I'd like to see it :)
Nobody questioned, he was right handed, his injury, was the left temple...44 years, of nobody questioning, this discrepancy..
!?
🤔
WAIT TIL YOU SEE IT TOMORROW XDDDDD
He was funny, I can’t believe he killed himself later that day.
Watch at 2:00 and then again at 3:24. It's the same scene repeated with the guy in the blue shirt. Weird
You know why God had Noah save every animal species? ‘Cause God loves the animals almost as much as He loves us! Hallelujah!
Sad that after filming this that night at the hotel he stayed at he killed himself. So if you think about it this was real emotion and not acting. Saying goodbye.
If only Freddie Prince would have accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour
hahahahaha... another one being strangled by organized religion
You don't know what he did. You weren't there, don't pretend you know.
@@PapagenoMF Jesus is not organized religion or American thank God.

Do you have the whole episode?
Hahahaha.....he does sound just like a black man!
LOL that's what I like about his voice. 😜
Is this the episode "Ed Talks to God"? Freddie filmed this scene hours before he killed himself, if so.
I was wondering why I couldn't find any full episodes too :(
The Muslim world needs such Healthy Secularism
almost as good as Cosby's take
So Funny !
What episodes of chico and the man does Raul Garcia run away to Mexico?
Freddie Prinze is a Parsippany Pastaferian Priest. All Hail Lord Gumby and Lord God Pokey.
WHAT I MEANT WAS 😂
what is the title of this episode?
I love This show
It's so dad how he committed suicide so young
So 7os.....nice.

Anyone know why he killed himself just asking ?
Depression, drugs, new responsibilities & pressure from being famous.
His wife had left him. She was concerned that drug use was making it difficult for him to be a good father to their young son.
Mae Brussell had some very interesting things to say about Freddie's death.
People wonder why they have certain issues in their life. He mocked God’s word. Very sad. He mocked the Bible and it was the same God who could of saved him the last hour of his life.
you ever heard bill cosby?
