This was so good to see. So many videos are edited and don't do justice to the shaping or gradual progression of developing something new with the dog. Patel's awareness of just how quickly to raise the criteria is empowering for me. I was also intrigued by his decision to do this with silence & patience vs trying to add an auditory marker (verbal or clicker). I think the silence helps keep things calmer, and after I thought about it, just his hand starting to move towards the bucket was, afterall, all that was needed to 'mark' the behavior that was getting rewarded. Brilliant. It's making me reevaluate how I have typically done things. Thank you.
Audio is so low that I thought it wasn't working at all. Then I noticed a faint sound and turned my speakers to their fullest. I still can't make out what he's saying, and closed captioning doesn't work.
Hello good people I have an amazing spirited dog who has an ulcer in his eye but he is way to strong for me to hold and people are scared he will bite them he has to take his medication which are drops and ointment for the next 15 days, Is this technique learned quick or would I just be waisting my time?? Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. Also if anyone knows any other ways or has any idea I'd love to hear it!

SUPER elegant training
SUPER helpful to watch the progression--THANK YOU!!! :)
Is there an updated version of this clip? The background noises make it nearly unwatchable with the sound on.
