It is believed that Jimmie’s wife’s mom may have killed her husband and grandson then killed herself
How can he go to the hall of fame and still race as many races as he will race in 2024
the eligibility criteria is based on length of time since retiring from full-time competition (two years), so as long as you don't race full-time in NASCAR for two consecutive years (and competed for at least 10 years before the retirement), you can be on the ballot if the committee nominates you. Drivers have been known to race part-time into their 50s, and sometimes don't even announce plans to do so, so it can be hard to legislate that.
