Amazing! Always remember Sugino bicycle components manufacturer, which made the most beautiful parts ever: the Sugino Superbe Pro. Didn't know about the Re-Forming type, which kinds of creates a hand-scraped bearing surface. Super cool!
A question please... Are these tools used for surface finish only or can they be used instead of a hone or reamer for actual dimensional control for bearing fits etc ..??? 🤔
@@stevepaltzer7605 We actually have other tools in this product line for honing, reaming, and more. Feel free to check out the Ream Roller and the Skive Roller to get a better idea of capabilities. Thanks for the comment!
Although it varies by the work piece material and thickness, Superoll will generally only change the diameter by a few micrometers/microns. Superoll is recommended to be used as a finishing process, not to change overall work piece dimensions.
If want to achieve a complete curved surface with a mirror finish and a precision of ±0.002mm, it would still need to be entrusted to a more specialized grinding processing industry.
I don't think that's true. Ultra precision turning lathes can easily hit that tolerance. I also think the burnished surface is more hard wearing than a ground finish - I agree that a ultra precision grind can be down to 0.1um with better cylindricity, but a burnish surface surely is more wear resistant. Am I wrong?

Secondly, I do not understand English and am using ChatGPT to have a professional conversation with you about mechanical processing. If what you need is product quantity and quality, I suggest seeking help from a professional manufacturer. Grinding is not my expertise, and quality inspection is usually based only on data.

The bicycle components company is an entirely different company, but we appreciate your comment nonetheless. ☺
Yesterday I learned about these tools by an application engineer from another brand, I hope to use it soon! Thank you for sharing Sugino. GREAT MUSIC
Music is great. Keep it up Sugino
My steady rest can do the same thing.......all jokes aside, im impressed and intrigued

Obvio que no. Este sistema es solo para pulir. No come más de .001". Los que saben usarla, saben que dejan casi la medida exacta.
If it takes the part to the dimension needed, then why not? The tool is expensive, so honing or reaming might be more cost effective and faster.

Спасибо, хороший материал!
