I feel so blessed to have seen David in concert, at large venues and small venues (with his band, as a duo, as a trio, and completely solo) six times, mostly back in the late 70s - early 80s. The guy is a master at his craft. An absolute master. A genius interpreter of musical genres. And that's not to discount the players he chooses to play with. Only the best for him. THANK YOU DAVID! You da man!!!
....so I was turning the TV channels, fifty million channels and nothing to watch! Stumbled into the music channels....and blam THIS SONG!!! love this!!! It's a party!!!
David Bromberg, my dad got me listening to some of his tunes when I was younger 😁 not sure on the name of the song, but it's my one of mt dads favorites (and mine) but it goes 'I like to sleep late in the mornin, don't like to wear no shoes...' Cool, gotta send him this video
Sharing with all of our WMNF Traffic Jam listeners on Facebook and playing on "Monday Traffic Jams on WMNF" 88.5 Tampa 4-6 pm We play you David....always have....on independent, non- corp radio...for the rest of us!
Reminiscent of his band in the 70's....the only thing missing is a smoking guitar solo from Bromberg himself. Nice to have something new from an old favorite.
If that is the case then I have certainly acquired the taste because I love David's vocals but then again I've been listening to him for over 40 years.
I heard this tune on B.B. Kings SeriusXM and was instantly drawn in. The tuba really gets down ,the fiddle player looks so damn happy during his solo, and every musician is perfect. I’d heard of David Bromberg yet never heard his music and wow! He’s fantastic, I’m glad to have discovered his music and I look forward to getting used to his entire catalog.
@@davidshapiro8539 I myself heard this on Sirius XM and was instantly hooked. It is one of my favorite driving songs and if I don't hear it at least once a day, I have to pull out my Amazon music download to compensate. Between this song and Cristo Redentor (1967) from Charlie Musselwhite, my day is made. These 2 songs, made so far apart, ....come together for me.

Dope!
Always liked Bromberg's guiatar and his bands, but his voice is an acquired taste.
