the romantic one is pretty much the same but i'd say the non-committal one is a bit different since non-committal affects even jobs and other areas and it seems like the one theyre adding is just focused on relationships/romantic relationships.

So you can have dates in base game and functioning dates that have logic, so no random Sims talking to Sims while they have romantic actions, but only in DLC? Okay, that's kinda dirty move EA..
Yeah this annoys me, that part at the very least should be a base game update. Random sims interrupting dates shouldn't have been a thing to begin with...

Connection the Gallery screams broken to me. Unless the Gallery is getting a huge overhaul. Idk how the dating app is going to pull sims from the Gallery successfully. Not only that it seems obvious they’re trying to push people to be online more often to boost EAs numbers.
I think having to woo reserved sims will be a nice extra challenge. Sometimes I feel like it's too easy to romance them. Like right now you can meet someone and get married in one day, this will hopefully make it a bit more realistic. 😂
LOL EA putting avoidant attachment style into our games. Now our Sims have to deal with that too

@@StarlightEdithExactly. I really want to like this pack but the more leaks we get, the more concerned I get. I'm worried this is just going to be a recycle of things we already have. Those two aspirations sound like the two romance ones we got in the base game. The love bug trait is very similar to the romantic trait and the reserved trait sounds a lot like the unflirty trait, as you mentioned. Also, this is just my take and I could be wrong but I feel that when we get a lot of leaks for a pack it usually means the pack isn't very good. When we get little to no leaks the pack is often great. I've noticed this happen a few times. Maybe it's just a coincidence but it makes me wonder.
There are hundreds of free mods that already give you the main selling points- not only that, but I feel like the gallery feature will leave simmers that don't have every pack stuck with a bunch of bald/partially naked sims on dates.
People always forget about console players! Good for you if you have mods but SOME of us are stuck on console so this is actually good news! The only worry is how buggy its going to be.
Also I'm pretty sure when they said "on the gallery" they meant your personal one. The ones you've personally saved. Not the WHOLE gallery

At this point, new packs only come out for those of us who don’t have pc, only console. Console doesn’t have access to mods or cc.
The fact they have to mention other sims won’t crush the date 💀
Also, it would be *meaningful* for the other sim to end a date early if the relationships were two sided.

No, especially because 90% of the aspects this pack has have already been added to the game by modders years ago. It feels like they saw popular mods, and thought they could make people pay for them to be in game, taking advantage of console players and loyalty.
We already paid for this, it should be free and base game.

I dont feel like this should be an expansion, but its still really cool! Although I have noticed some of the cas and buildmode look like remeshes and recolours of other pack items.... Only to be expected ig🤷

A date ending early if it is not going well is actually a feature from The Sims 2. I remember frantically trying to please and entertain my date just so I can keep the timer extending when it's about to drop. It was quite stressful, so let's see how they do it in Sims 4.
I wonder what makes the new traits different from the current “Romantic” (base game IIRC) and “Unflirty” (City Living IIRC) traits. I’m also curious about cross-pack compatibility, particularly with growing together.

I’m very excited for this! This feels more like growing together which definitely felt like it EXPANDED my world and characters. It is completely cross pack and base game compatible so it could work with anyone’s game play style! I’m impressed :)

this honestly seems like one of the fullest expansions we’ve gotten in a while, i’m still not paying full price for it but i’ll definitely be purchasing it. hopefully it’s not to buggy
The new dance looks like it might be the same one from jungle adventure, hope I'm wrong though. The other interactions are already in the game, show off fitness, gaze at stars/clouds.

Just my personal thoughts on this:
1. I worry this may break the entire Gallery along with the game when the glitches hit!
2. EW, I do NOT want my sims having every other sim that comes near them being Flirty and thus forcing interactions I may not want on them autonomously just because they maxed out a skill- What if I want them to only ever have 1 partner and they wind up maxing the skill with them and then getting flirted with by everyone they see... Could be fun sometimes but mostly annoying when it's not ALWAYS what you want
2b- Are they going to make it so other sims no longer cause the romantic relationship bar to progress to avoid that issue? I'd need to know before I buy.
3. I don't like that they are giving pre-order benefits so they can try to fool people in to buying before they find out about the bugs.
4. I'm not willing to assume more than the most shallow cross pack integration since that has been our experience thus far. The integration they offer is generally scant and not very well thought out (example: the fact that football effects your sims muscle and weight but cheerleading does not).

Honestly, I dont feel good when I see complicated features. With their poorly implemented profanity filter on the gallery and their tendency to ignore game breaking bugs, I just feel the chaos and game corruption.
Seems like they really fleshed out this pack, cautiously excited.
Im going to keep my expectations in check but I am hoping that this will be a turn around. They've been missing the ball lately but I'm hoping they dazzle since they've got more competition these days

Some of the CAS looks a little funky to me but I do like how some of it looks nice on curvier Sims and the bun style with the hair clip (plus I think that's a new men's style? it looks nice). The butch Sim girl looks hot (I think that's another new hair) though of course we're going to get random grandmas wearing BDSM harnesses. And the tattoo with text looks great (we still need a tattoo chair!!).
I'd actually love a dating match app for sims it could make the easier to find townies instead of searching all the worlds to find them

I hope we get better gifts than the single flowers and other random stuff on the gifts list. The shareable treats sound interesting, but I’d like to be able to buy other cool things.

I am loving the hair in these! And honestly, this pack sounds more than what I thought it would be but knowing EA they can say all they want if it isn't broken...
Putting a few new details on a old game feature it is not improvement, even if it is, it can’t be justified to put behind a pay wall. It is clearly not a expansion pack worthy concept and it is clear that there is not enough game play just like every other pack and the gameplay features are recycled ones from old titles. At this point it is so funny watching people pay for this.

This pack has slightly peaked my interest but after having WW in my game for a few years now I doubt it will measure up. The world needs more lots too, should’ve been a minimum of 15 or more. The bugs this will cause is already giving me nightmares😭 it’s gonna be a mess whether you buy the pack or not

Honestly I am pretty excited about this pack. It's cute. But I think I am not wanting to be too excited for now because it might be one of those packs that gets dull after a day with not as much to offer as I expected, so we will see!
