That is so awesome....i feel bad...it looks like so much work, I feel like helping you lol, and it looks like its a hot day as well. I can not wait to see it all together with Abigail and that gorgeous fireplace. Your walk through is freaking awesome. Wish I could see it in person to see all that amazing detail. Great Job.!!!
It is an incredible amount of work, but I enjoy it. It's not like doing taxes (which I hate). I designed everything to be lightweight and compact. I didn't know what kind of help I would have, so hey- self sufficient. Build days it was 90+ degrees- almost a record even for Texas. It was sooo nice this weekend. 'Still workin' so you'll have to wait on that final vid.
Thanks, it was one of the first things I built. I think I edited the perfect window effect this year. Now where can I find a flat screen TV? Hmmm......I'll have to do a vid.
I know goodwills around here have some of the older huge flat screen projection TVs all the time for dirt cheap no one wants them because they are HUGE
Hi! and Thanks! I used a light-weight simple frame made of 2"x2" wood. I used 3/4" foam board that I glued and screwed using 1 1/4" coarse drywall screws. There are 4 main pieces that come together using mending plates (slow down the vid to see each piece). Individually they aren't very strong, but they are extremely light. When screwed together, they are very strong. Each piece is no wider than 40" so that they fit into my attic access. I always think modular, that way everything is easy to store. I have other videos that show how I carve out the mortar lines and use a heat gun the shape the 'stones'. Thanks for watching!!!!!!!

Awesome! Can't wait to see the walk through!
Your facade is just breathtaking! I would like to know how that awesome structure is put together. Did you use foam, wood, or some other material?
