- We have been home haunting since 2010. This year we are paying respect to what started it all, Disneys Haunted Mansion. This is a backyard build all hand made. This is honestly the best home recreation of it that I have ever seen. The mini loading area looks ike it would’ve been part of the haunted mansions recent refurbishment. Great job!

Absolutely fantastic. Waiting to see the breakdown BTS video for 2022. I have a request, aside from the drive and track system, would you be willing to share a links list of special effects stuff you used? The small black light, the busts, etc. Even a video of how you do the proximity sensors supply and setup would be helpful. All of course if you have the time. Your breakdown videos of the drive & track system are fantastically detailed and very user friendly. Your willingness to go through those breakdowns shows that you really are a true haunter at heart and not doing this for notoriety. Well done and we all look forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing this I truly appreciate it but not sure my wife will 😉

This is awesome! Just PLEASE be so careful about copyright and trademark laws. It would be awful if you guys got sued after all your hard work! Even if you’re getting paid for videos on RUclips, you could still have problems. Thanks for the video though! Would love to see the finished ride-through!

I have one extension cord to my (much smaller) shop. I just move it about. It is a little annoying but I like that only one machine can be on at a time, a bit of a safety feature if you will.

This is awesome.... something I always wanted to do since I was a boy. Where is this located? I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. If I lived by you it would be cool to be an actor in this attraction! Can't wait to see the entire thing in action! Too bad there is no room for a peppers ghost illusion... those are tricky! Time is moving so fast.... the crunch is on!

Thank you! We coated it with drylock first, then exterior flat black. If I make another this year (current plan) I will use more drylock.

All carved individually out of foam. Took forever. If I were to do it again, I would have made molds

Thanks! That year I used a “FireFly” lightning controller from lightsalive. Following years I used a FlexMax from fright ideas. Both work great. Firefly is more beginner friendly
I think you could have put the outside wheels inside the rail because your track looks like the manufacturer VEKOMA RIDE
Possibly, didn’t try it that way. The way I put them on worked fine
Hey my friend. Thanks for your help in your build videos. I’ve built mine for the 2022 season (90% done). Quick question that I’ve had from several people that have been helping w the build.
Did you have guests sign a waiver before they rode? I know it sounds silly w a car moving like 2 mph but my insurance provider was having a bit of a fit about this being a possible liability. She suggested increasing policy limits, blanket umbrella policy etc. plus the waiver.
Did you cover all that nonsense or find a way around it? Sorry for all the questions. Appreciate you.
Hey, you bet, no problem. I did not do anything additional as far as insurance. I increased out liability on our homeowners a few yrs ago just in case. I felt very comfortable with the track and cart, tested it over and over. I also followed it around during each ride. Everything I’ve ever built has been pretty extreme construction, like over construction. But, anything can happen, better safe then sorry! I just didn’t due to the faith I had in our build. Hope that helps!

I’ll never understand those few kids that scream bloody murder as they play outside!! I love kids and have or had one , his grown now. Lol. Parents should teach their kids from screaming death murder. Holy crap!! Ilive in nyc and there is a park in front of my window, there is this one kid that comes almost every evening and screams bloody murder nonstop. Lol. Omg. 5:50

Im guessing about 7mph top speed. Yes, I had a speed controller connected to it so I could slow it down as much as we wanted
