Lol. They are one of the largest if not the largest zoos in the Nordics. And while it does sit right outside the Cityy of Norrköping, I would also think something this big was just... crazy. Then again Sweden has a tendency to go big or go home. Even then there's a local train station in the village close to the park with 200km/h trains several times a day direct to Downtown Stockholm.
Wildfire is excellent! Best coaster in Sweden! I’ve been riding it several times. Kolmården is Sweden’s largest zoo. You need to spend at least one whole day to experience the whole area. It only has a few rides but the zoo part is amazing! There is even a cable car that takes about 30 minutes that passes over some impressive areas with lots of animals.
I was surprised to see such a well known ride as the topic of one of your videos but in the end I had no idea about the issues they had securing a license for the coaster. Another great video!
IFFFF you saw how WIDE eyed I was + mouth as a perfect letter "O" while watching this video ++ how my heart sAnK when you said SBNO , then allowed to operate. All of this is near as great of a roLLer cOaStEr ride as the actual ONE! I can't wait for YOU to ride it!!!!! Michael T.
I've been on 5 RMC's so far. Ranked in order: 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Twisted Colossus (post-Lightning Rod ibox track) 3. Lightning Rod (was #2 when it had the topper track) 4. Twisted Timbers 5. Twisted Cyclone Seriously can't wait to add 5 more to the list. Best manufacturer by far. Thank God for Alan Schilke 🙏
To be able to just go there....ride all the rides, then hop on a plane and fly back home without having to pay for a flight or for the hotel rooms....Such a great looking coaster. Everytime I ever see it in thumbnails, I get so jealous. Richard
It's another brilliant RMC design, but I'm torn as to whether to classify this as a wooden coaster, a steel coaster or a hybrid. It does have wood laminate, but that's underneath RMC's topper track, which IMO makes the ride more of a steel coaster. A true wood coaster has a simple thin steel strip on top of the wood laminate, and that definitely gives a different ride experience compared to the unyielding (and incredibly smooth) topper track.
Wildfire isnt really unknown by Europe enthusiasts tho. we only have 3 RMCs over here (Untamed, Zadra and Wildfire) and Wildfire stands high up in the European top list in my eyes :D and with untamed its also the only RMC i did so far. But it is indeed amazing like the whole Swedentour we did. given that the ride stands up in a zoo for familys, you have 0-10 minute wait through the entire day so its basically paradise for an enthusiast :DD

We visited on a very busy day, the place was packed with families and children, yet hardly anyone was riding the coaster. Longest I waited in line was ten minutes. The queue for the cable car ride was well over an hour tho. Apart from this one big coaster there really much to back it up ride wise. The zoo part was great tho.
If California ever gets over its love for medical Fascist tyranny, a trip to LA to ride Twisted Colossus is *so* worth it. The original Colossus had moments go greatness interspersed with sheer boredom. In contrast, Twisted Colossus is a big whallop from start to finish, especially when you go up the hill with a train next to you. A great ride!
Looks hella fun! 👍 Wonder what the environmental issues would have to be to suspend the operating licence _after_ it was built instead of just stopping it being constructed... noise issues perhaps?

Going into the specifics its actually a topper track ride, which technically is a fully wooden design. Its just fallen out of favour as the Hybrid Ibox track is more durable and less maintenance intensive. The only topper track rides to have been built are this, Outlaw run, Lightning rod, and Goliath at Six Flags Great America. All newer ground up coasters like Arieforce One, and Zadra use the Hybrid Ibox track

You know, i live in Sweden and this is my favorite coaster overall. Wildfire is probably one of the best wooden coasters ever.

I've only ever been on 2 RMC's: Storm Chaser and Steel Vengeance, and I easily prefer Steel Vengeance.
