My theory:
Probably because of all might telling him that he can’t be a hero without a quirk. He probably ended up trying to save bakuhoe and that’s when his journey started. He might of rejected all might when he offered his quirk or never got the offer in the first place. Then he became a vigilante And he began to resent all heros, cause he thought they were all alike? Idk honestly.
