When I first saw the intro animation, my mind was racing as to how a minecart boss would play out. It's not as cool as I imagined, but that intro manages to feel every bit awesome for prepping to get on a minecart and filling me with ideas ☺️
One thing I ought to mention is that when your mine cart connects with the other four you are only given about 25 seconds to defeat the moles in the carts, after that, three Mole Miners on another train will appear and try to run over the carts with its drill, easily taking out Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, It happened to me before when I played this level. ruclips.net/video/x5LFlWdnKp8/видео.html
I feel like the tikis don’t wanna hurt anyone. They need bananas to keep their species from completely dying. But DK wants to get their bananas back, so they hypnotize animals with music to help them transfer the bananas to tiki tong. That’s my theory.
"This boss was a pain." Understatement. This boss is bullshit, especially on Mirror Mode. Try that Texas Dodge'em to Whack-a-Mole motherfuckery with only one heart and no buddy!
I died plenty of times in this level, but this game sure is awesome. Whacking moles are alot more fun than wacking a weasel in a carnival. Great gameplay.
The trick to mole train is to Kong Roll when the train is heading downhill, so that way you can get on the other 4 carts and defeat the mole throwing pickaxes ⛏ at you.
This is my absolute favorite boss. Plus, it's the first time in Donkey Kong Country History to have a vehicle chase the boss (and it's a mine cart, SCORE!). The tiki in this lvl, I think, is the most twisted looking among them all. Now this lvl makes me want a mole train, and a mine to drive it through (with no dead ends of course).
0:30 Listen to my song You are mine, oh yeah Time for us to go Start this train today I remember playing this on my 3DS XL and after all these years I can still say this is the best "enchanting" trance and boss fight (apart for the final boss)
I rented it from the library *all the time* when I was a little tike. Started playing it when I was 7, beat it when I was 11, got to the Golden Temple when I was 14. Comments on its difficulty aside, I miss it too. It has so much charm, blending realism and its cartoony aspects together.
@@bluebaron6811 you just unlocked another memory of young me having to rent most of my games. mom would occasionally take me to blockbuster to rent a DS game or a Wii game for 24 hours or so.
This is gonna take about 3 minutes to complete this boss. What if this roller coaster at 2 minutes 53 seconds should be a level? Like it’ll include a couple checkpoints, bananas and some platforms as well!
Super easy short cut, if you have diddy on your back, which you will, obviously, just roll and jump, then use his jetpack to land on the mole train instead of dodging the pick axes over and over again.
0:25 get inside the carts and act like moles! 0:27 we won't do the last part but okay. 0:31 i found it! you found your pet? no my little banjo! (starts playing) 0:34 i hear a banjo... i think i will go for a train ride! 0:43 getbackhere!!
Gotta feel bad for the miners and their boss as they were just trying to protect themselves. They also seem unaware that their leader was hypnotised and that DK just wanted back the bananas
In that Case Mole Miner Max's voice actor is also Grant Kirkhope. Though japanese voice actors like Takashi Nagasato did the voice for male characters in this game. So Max was voiced by Takashi in my thought.
I really think The Mole Train should be a stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. :)
James Rimmer or smash bros ultimate
They have toon link train in ultimate
Agree :D
Sure
Yeah
Any other protagonist when someone gets hypnotized or possessed: oh my god we have to save them
Donkey Kong: "so you have chosen, death."

They're knocked out tho

Out of all the bosses I faced in mirror mode in this game.
This one is the hardest
Ragnar Ahlman NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
Keep practicing
I was just about to comment this but it's at the top of the comments.
Until now!
I feel bad for all the innocent animals caught up in donkey kong's rampage
Maybe they would've helped Donkey Kong To defeat Tiki Tong at the end of the game. That would've make the game much better.
I hated this boss with passion...especially on Mirror Mode...
I know what you mean... It took me 300 tries in Mirror Mode before beating it, and I'm not joking
On mirror mode you must have incredible luck to beat it
...i beated him second try on Mirror Mode..

The sound effects the moles make when they pop out of the minecarts is reused as Nabbit’s voice in new super Mario bros u and New Super Luigi U.
If You get hit by pickaxes or bombs while you're in minecart chase. The Big Mole (Mole Miner Max) Laughs at you.
I love this boss and the music

you can just do a Roll jump instead of waiting to get closer I've tried it
It ruins the magic...
It’s hard, but possible.
Thatpinkbunnygirl AJ if you don’t feel confident doing the jump on flat ground wait until the rails slant downwards, it gets easier.

Dude I never knew that could happen
It's sad the animals are hypnotized. Even the bosses are actually nice.
Ken and Stephanie Pierce mind controlled just like society

Hey, none of the animals actually die, so that's good.

Oh my word
I didn't find this boss that bad, but it did take multiple attempts to beat it.
Grayman 2003 Same.
Tbh, as soon as I found out that you can jump onto the train early on in the fight with the mole throwing pickaxes, it made it easier for me.
Mirror mode will say otherwise
I died plenty of times in this level, but this game sure is awesome.

Pop goes the weasel
The 3rd phase feels so much more atmospheric when playing it, I had no idea it got all dark and and there were more train noises lol
Resetti from Animal Crossing, I have found your people.
your people got massacred by a gorilla, unfortunately.
The trick to mole train is to Kong Roll when the train is heading downhill, so that way you can get on the other 4 carts and defeat the mole throwing pickaxes ⛏ at you.
I died a lot on this boss on Wii. But just managed to beat it on 3DS. I managed it on my 2nd attempt this time.

This level is insanely harder in the Mirror Mode. Probably the hardest level in the game. That is a real pain.

Now THIS is what I call Whack-A-Mole.
On the Donkey Kong Wiki it says that Tiki is a Ukelele but it's clearly a banjo :U
Who else was terrified of the outro cutscene as a kid
The train with the drill keeps coming up behind me though and destroys my carts...I dont see that in any of these videos.
