The website was created by the Sony company and the author of the Harry Potter books, JK Rowling. I had to take a fun and special personality test to find out what house I am in. Go go Gryffindor! ❤💛❤🦁🏰🪄👍

It used to be pretty common for British schools to separate students into four houses.AFAIK it was by your surname, in alphabetical order. In theory it was meant to instil some team bonding, but that'd only ever happen in the posh schools. It was simply the line you stood in, to be let back in after break.
There are no best Hogwarts houses. Every house has good trait qualities. If a student is good or bad it is because of the choices they personally made in life. Not because of the house they are in. They never explained it in any of the movies but Harry did meet several good Slytherins while also meeting several bad people from the other houses as well. So it makes no difference what house you are sorted into. It is the choices that we make in life that determines who we are. 🏰😉👍
They've never really explained why Hooch has yellow eyes like a hawk, but a lot of fans believe it was either a botched animagus spell or a spell she cast on herself to give herself hawk-like vision so she could efficiently ref the quidditch games.
Hagrid is a half giant! His mum was a giant and his dad was a wizard. Harry has so much money mainly because his dad came from a rich, pureblood family, so there's a lot of inheritance money. Gryffindor is house of the brave and loyal, Ravenclaw is house of the intelligent and creative, Slytherin is house of the cunning and ambitious, and Hufflepuff is house of the fair and hardworking and generally accepts anyone who doesn't fit into one of the other houses. STOP NOT SNAPE IN IT GIRL TIKTOKS 💀💀 Yes! In her dying moments, Harry's mum, Lily, used very deep and ancient blood magic (that she wasn't aware she used, it was kinda instinctual or an accident) and protected Harry with her love.
Girl I am laughing out loud throughout this, I'm obsessed. Your editing is hilarious and smart and I'm loving your commentary. I have been obsessed with Harry Potter since I was 11, and I'm the same age as Emma Watson so I grew up with all of them. I've seen these movies countless times - but watching YOU watch them for the first time is so much fun, especially with how naturally funny you are. I can't wait to see you watch and experience the entire journey omg, you are in for a RIDE❤
Girl, my mom told me the same thing & that it “got too serious” as the movies went on and I didn’t finish it until years later (stopped at Goblet of Fire originally) and I LOVED it. Was lowkey kinda pissed that my mom told me it wasn’t good lol
The movies don't really discuss this at any point, so I thought I'd mention this just in case (it's not a spoiler, it's just additional detail on what the houses are). The houses all represent some kind of value or virtue. Gryffindor is for bravery/courage (symbol is a lion, not a griffin, despite the name), Ravenclaw is for intelligence (symbol is an eagle, not a raven, despite the name), Slytherin is for cunning and ambitious people (symbol is a snake), and Hufflepuff... it's hard to pin them down but they essentially stand for kindness - they value hard work, loyalty, self-sacrifice, that kind of stuff (their symbol is a honey badger - just a reminder, honey badger is closely related to wolverines, and wolverines are the most ferocious creatures in the world, pound-for-pound, so don't mistake them for "weak", honey badgers can feck you up). There's more to each house than this (and particularly how they work and who gets sorted where), but I won't mention further because getting deeper into it WILL spoil a few things (even if minor), so it's best if you just know the basics about the houses
you are the best reactor ever known to me. with you i do not skip to those parts that are certain to provoke certain emotions in homo sapiens with you i'm watching every second of your recordings cause you do a great job just being you (and editing, of course).
Both movies and books are made for children that grow up into teens. The characters (main trio) is 11-12 at the start and they end being 17-18. And I love that is so entertaining.
I love how the story matures along with the characters and the intended audience of the time. It was so unique and I've never seen another story do that (only thing that comes close is My Hero Academia but not exactly)

Just gained a new subscriber can’t wait to see you on the journey. Before this comes up from the other movies Harry is not rich but he is comfortable so middle class. Also in the books they explain that Ron is embarrassed how poor his family is and he saw all those things in the mirror because all his brothers (5 of them) have done everything so all his accomplishments aren’t as great and with him being the youngest brother but having the only girl right after him he really feels like he isn’t noticed as much.
since you’re pretty much done with the series i feel like i can say this about a little comment you wrote about dumbledore not letting snape be the dark arts teacher. voldemort wanted the position and dumbledore said no, and in retaliation voldemort cursed the position so that no one could hold it for more than a year. i assume dumbledore knew something about this and didn’t want snape to be affected by it, making him potions professor instead (something he also excelled at). and when dumbledore finally does give snape the position, its when he KNOWS he will not be in it for longer than a year no matter what (6th year)
Something that always intrigued me about this is that they made it sound like Quirrell had been teaching for multiple years Edit: I just looked it up and apparently Quirrell taught Muggle Studies prior to this and then he took a year long sabbatical where he ended up meeting Voldemort and when he got back he taught DADA for Harry's first year
10:37 the wands are mostly the same in the first two movies but my movie 3 they realised they could sell them as merch... Then everyone gets a unique wand
I can see you being Ravenclaw or hufflepuff but Miya you’ll love Harry Potter it’s a amazing series!!❤️🔥 It’s also fun seeing what house you’re apart of what type of wand you would have it’s a great world it’s for sure up there with the GOATs of media!!Another part of the magic is the cast absolutely amazing it’s so great to see the kids grow with the movies!!❤️
I grew watching all these movies when they came out and.i still live watching them today especially during the fall szn It's just a great time and each movie gets better! Love your reaction ❤
10:21 His dad's side of the family made a fortune, and James(Harry's dad) inherited it. Started small with medicinal services and potion-making, such as inventing "Skele-gro" and "Pepper Potion", then a more recent ancestor helped greatly increase the fortune by creating a magical hair care product, so his dad never even really HAD to work. Even after Harry was born, neither parent had to work. Nepo baby :)
I love your reactions 😂 You are def gonna love the series. The whole magic world has so much lore and excitement and as the kids grow the movies get darker and plot-ier!
16:07 Shape shifters are called Animagus. Some wizards learn and choose to be transform in an animal form. In this case Professor McGonagall is animagus and her animagus form is a cat. This will be explained in 3rd part more briefly. I don't want to give you spoilers so have patience it all make sense in the end. And those who said it is overrated they are muggles. 😂
oh my god you’re gonna love these movies, i can already tell 😂😂 about the houses, i think you’re definitely a hufflepuff!! i wouldn’t say there’s a “better” house, and this has been an argument for many years since people see slytherins as the house who produces the most dark wizards (which is true, in a way), but has also many wizards and witches who fought against the dark. I, for once, am a proud slytherin myself 💚💚 Anyways, all four houses are amazing and important on their own!! Love from Brazil 🇧🇷
My biggest piece of advice to you is to read the books. I can’t stress how important that this actually is, the movies actually relied on the audience to actually know the story first as they compressed parts and even had to leave quite vital parts out. And whole (semi pivotal) characters were never even included in the first place (Peeves anyone). If you don’t (or now can’t) do this, we’ll the next best option would be to read each book after each movie. This will be of absolutely huge benefit in regards to the 2nd and especially the 3rd books. The 3rd book needed two to three movies alone it was that big. The first movie does a pretty good job of the first book though. One thing to keep in mind is that the age level of the movies and more so the books, increases as it goes along. They age with the characters. It really gets dark and Death is theme that only gets stronger and stronger as it goes along, but however it was still very brilliantly done all the same. My only gripe is that the fight scene in the last movie was a huge let down as the book was so much better. The last movie ruined a few things, but also improved one plot point way better than the book. And that’s a theme throughout the entire series. You will be begging for help but we are getting a bit jaded, and you will actually enjoy all of the movies so much better for having followed the books along as you go, even if you read them second. The movies had to compress things, but they also heavily relied on the very fact that the audiences already knew the story by heart. And that’s my point. The movies simply can’t be enjoyed to their fullest potential if you haven’t read the books. No other movie series so heavily relies on this. I dare anybody to prove me wrong. So as soon as you can. Start reading each book before the movies. The later movies relies on facts in the book that the movies never even mention. Edit P.S. The first book is a good example of what I mean by aging. The first few chapters are really written like they are for very young children, but it soon gets older, and more enjoyable for older readers. Their is a very good reason why adults love reading these books too. Half way through the first book, is a very different experience indeed. And this experience just gets more “intense” as each book comes along. Without giving away any actual spoilers, BUT. One last thing to keep in mind. This series is particularly about redemption, and in so many subtle different ways. It’s a story arc that stretches throughout the entire series and affects various characters (not just one). And you will see it played out in some “not so obvious” ways too.
I actually think that the Harry Potter movies did an excellent job incorporating as much important information from the books as possible. I've seen so many book to movie adaptations that were absolutely awful. I agree that you get a lot more enjoyment from the movies having read the books, but I do think that you can still enjoy the movies by themselves and understand what it happening
I just subscribed, I can't wait to watch the rest of your Harry Potter Journey. The series isn't for everyone but I find that most people that watch it, really enjoy the films. If you like the films, Then I welcome you with open arms to the fandom. If you don't like the films, at least you can say you gave it a shot and thank you for actually watching the films for yourself and not listening to other peoples biased opinions. Some things to keep in mind... -The first two movies are for kids and was marketed that way. Those were the only two films showed on Disney channel. - The movies get darker and darker as the characters grow. The story matures along with the characters - The movies are Gryffindor centered but the other houses are just as important. Not all slytherins are bad, Not all Gryffindors are good. Professor Quirell is a Ravenclaw and he was this movies villain. A lot of people seem to forget that. I Hope you enjoy the film as much as we enjoy your reactions.
Because I watched GoT before binging on this series, I have a cross-world theory: Arya killed Walder, took his face, went west of Westeros. What’s west of Westeros? HOGWARTS! Filtch is Arya and she’s learning how to be a witch! 😉☺️😅 #LeaveLogicAndHPLoreOutOfThis
"Is that Walder Frey?" I've never heard anyone recognize that guy in that order. How many people do you think watched Game of Thrones before they ever saw Harry Potter? Lol
Glad you're starting this series. One of my favourite series ever! Both the books and films were fantastic. Philosophers stone is one of my favourites within the series. But if I had to pick my number one... I think i would go with "Order Of The Pheonix"! Anyways, you're in for a wicked journey! Enjoy!
@MsAppassionata yeah I agree that and others like Goblet of Fire (I think) had lost the most details from book to movie. Considering they were longer. I wish every book had two movies like Deathly Hallows. I get it was a cliche and sort of cash grab move to split the last film of a series in two. But I also liked it because it meant at least one of the books gets more screen time that it likely needs😆 Here's hoping the new TV series is a good proper complete adaption. But I'm scarred they'll change things uncessarily and for the worst.
Gryffindors are known for courage, Ravenclaws for intelligence, Hufflepuffs for loyalty and hard work, and Slytherins for ambition and scheming (they're mostly purebloods). There's also a saying that "No true Slytherin is sorted into Slytherin" (because people who are really sneaky don't tell you about it). Catching the snitch ends the game, and is worth 150 points. So catching the snitch wins the game - unless your side is down by more than 150 points, in which case you'd still be behind when the game ends and you'll lose.
omg imagine being an 11 year old and sorted into slytherin... the bullying and prejudice towards you would be horrible... even though I got sorted into gryffindor multiple times.. I chose slytherin in the end because...it's a cool house(personally)

The website was created by the Sony company and the author of the Harry Potter books, JK Rowling. I had to take a fun and special personality test to find out what house I am in.
Go go Gryffindor!
❤💛❤🦁🏰🪄👍
girl this is literally the best series in world till this date
Filch really just escaped the wizarding world to Westeroes and change his name to Walder Frey
go to pottermore and you can be sorted int your house they can also tell you what wand you would have and what your patronus would be
You write well for a 12 year old. Well done 😉
@@davebrown9707 sorry you are 46 years short of my age
@@gregorywilcox5949 well maybe you shouldn't be talking about what Hogwarts house someone (who isnt a harry potter character) should be in .
@@davebrown9707 just because i'm old doesn't mean i ever want or did grow up
walder frey isn't the ONLY GoT actor you'll notice there are technically like a dozen but I forget who they are heavily hidden makeup wise but The wildling girl who travels with Bran she played Tonks you don't meet her til the 5th movie & the other I recognized is mama stark played mama granger you don't see her properly til the 7th movie which is part one of the seventh book
yes!! otto hightower from hotd plays xenophilius lovegood, mance rayder plays aberforth, pycelle voices aragog, and a maester (idr his name) plays slughorn!! there's probably more i'm forgetting too
“Is that Walder Frey??” I see you are a woman of culture 😌
It used to be pretty common for British schools to separate students into four houses.AFAIK it was by your surname, in alphabetical order. In theory it was meant to instil some team bonding, but that'd only ever happen in the posh schools. It was simply the line you stood in, to be let back in after break.
Yay coming back strong 💜 missed your reactions!
❤❤🥰
There are no best Hogwarts houses. Every house has good trait qualities. If a student is good or bad it is because of the choices they personally made in life. Not because of the house they are in.
They never explained it in any of the movies but Harry did meet several good Slytherins while also meeting several bad people from the other houses as well.
So it makes no difference what house you are sorted into. It is the choices that we make in life that determines who we are. 🏰😉👍
I died when you said “Shrek??” 😂😂😂
i genuinely hope i can watch these series for the first time again 🥹
STOP NOT SNAPE IN IT GIRL TIKTOKS 💀💀
Yes!
It's literally meant to get more serious because the story matures alongside the characters and the intended audience at the time xD
My fellow Ravenclaws were you at..!!??
when i first saw Walder Frey in GOT i said "is that Filch??" hahahaha
26:59 That’s Walder Frey. The actor who plays Walder Frey
Huffulpuff is the best one. Every values loyalty and friendship above all else. And right next to the kitchens.
You will cry. Often. Repeatedly. Soul shattering tears.
you are the best reactor ever known to me.
with you i do not skip to those parts that are certain to provoke certain emotions in homo sapiens
with you i'm watching every second of your recordings cause you do a great job just being you (and editing, of course).
Best movie series of all time!
Is it weird to think about how the main kids in this movie are between the ages of 33 and 37 now?
Filtch/Frey thought he was on the “Game of Thrones” set. Telling the kids, detention in the old days had them hanging by their thumbs and he misses the screaming 😆 I’ve been on a Harry Potter Binge lately, moved to watching reactions and I’m really looking forward to seeing you react to the rest of the HP series. It’ll help get me thru work 😁 So, thank you. New Sub here
You’re feeling the same as I’ve always thought. Your heart goes out to Harry because his life really sucks except some good things.
20:16 crazy thing is this movie and Shrek were released in the same year 2001 😅
Honestly they get better and better with each film.
34:15 Yes. And this "love" shield comes into play over and over and over again.
They don't address it too much in the films until they introduce Grawp in the later movies, but Hagrid is half-giant which is why he's so big lol
I love your reactions 💗 I‘m very hyped for the next movies, also i kinda think you are a huffelpuff or a slytherin 🥰
Yes! I'm so excited! Missed your reactions so much!
impatiently patiently waiting for the rest of the series, it only gets better from here!!
omg i gotta see this, i came from your hunger games reactions, i haven't watched these since i was a kid, so this should be entertaining 😂
Let's go so glad you reacting to this!❤
So excited for this journey withu. U mr so smart getting all the deets and answering ur own questions ❤
I love this! I've never seen someone watch HP for the first time, so it's amazing seeing you gather all the info and seeing all the magic for the first time! :D
Missed your reactions miya your one of the best need to do more look forward to more harry potter reactions in the coming weeks keep up the good work miya from UK ❤
You just uploaded the last HP reaction & I’m so stoked to binge tf out of these!
Totally enjoyed your reaction. Cant wait to go on the rest of the journey with you. Im a devoted HP fan and love hearing your ideas and predictions. Hope you're enjoying it as much as we are.
YES ANOTHER REACTOR TO WATCH! your editing is so funny and im so hyped to watch all of these on patreon!!!!!!
There's tons of HP reactions but your stand out because of the edit, well done! You really gave it your personal touch 👏👏👏 Also kudos on being the first reactors that I've seen who predicted that they were putting all the attention on Snape to distract us from Quirell 👍
I think you would either be Gryffindor or Hufflepuff ❤️💛
Ravenclaw imo
Just gained a new subscriber can’t wait to see you on the journey. Before this comes up from the other movies Harry is not rich but he is comfortable so middle class. Also in the books they explain that Ron is embarrassed how poor his family is and he saw all those things in the mirror because all his brothers (5 of them) have done everything so all his accomplishments aren’t as great and with him being the youngest brother but having the only girl right after him he really feels like he isn’t noticed as much.
So excited to watch your reaction to this amazing series!! Will be on the edge of my seat waiting for each and every upload!!
You're so pretty and all your movie reactions are great. Have to subscribe!
I know I said this before, but your reactions are so fun to watch Miya! And your editing is hilarious. Looking forward to this series 😊
since you’re pretty much done with the series i feel like i can say this about a little comment you wrote about dumbledore not letting snape be the dark arts teacher. voldemort wanted the position and dumbledore said no, and in retaliation voldemort cursed the position so that no one could hold it for more than a year. i assume dumbledore knew something about this and didn’t want snape to be affected by it, making him potions professor instead (something he also excelled at). and when dumbledore finally does give snape the position, its when he KNOWS he will not be in it for longer than a year no matter what (6th year)
Something that always intrigued me about this is that they made it sound like Quirrell had been teaching for multiple years
Edit: I just looked it up and apparently Quirrell taught Muggle Studies prior to this and then he took a year long sabbatical where he ended up meeting Voldemort and when he got back he taught DADA for Harry's first year
10:37 the wands are mostly the same in the first two movies but my movie 3 they realised they could sell them as merch...
The whole magic world has so much lore and excitement and as the kids grow the movies get darker and plot-ier!
looking gorgeous as always miya! ❣️
so happy ur back, cant wait for your reactions to how the movies gradually mature and get darker
omg miya and harry potter. why am i only seeing this just now? so excited!!!!
Lol my first time watching your channel and I love the little sound bits and extra editing you do 😂 subscribing!
(Big pop) YEAHHHH!!! Miya’s back! Miya’s back!!!! Miya for 2024🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
16:07 Shape shifters are called Animagus. 😂
Harry Potter is one of the best movies ever!
Which one? There are 8
oh my god you’re gonna love these movies, i can already tell 😂😂 about the houses, i think you’re definitely a hufflepuff!! i wouldn’t say there’s a “better” house, and this has been an argument for many years since people see slytherins as the house who produces the most dark wizards (which is true, in a way), but has also many wizards and witches who fought against the dark. I, for once, am a proud slytherin myself 💚💚 Anyways, all four houses are amazing and important on their own!!
Love from Brazil 🇧🇷
you are giving hufflepuffy ravenclaw vibes, i sense sweet considerate yet smart and witty vibes from you
My biggest piece of advice to you is to read the books.
Edit
Oh i’m so ready to join you on this journey😍
I loved your HG reactions so I can't wait for these
iwl from the prisoner of azkaban up ur gona love the movies sm cos that’s when things start getting deep. and the acting gets really good
I just subscribed, I can't wait to watch the rest of your Harry Potter Journey.
The story matures along with the characters
- The movies are Gryffindor centered but the other houses are just as important. Not all slytherins are bad, Not all Gryffindors are good. Professor Quirell is a Ravenclaw and he was this movies villain. A lot of people seem to forget that.
I Hope you enjoy the film as much as we enjoy your reactions.
I appreciate your cozy commentary
YAY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!! also miya you are so gorgeous 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Thank you 🥲💕💕
Miya I’m with you girl ❤
The mirror of erised if you take erised and do it backwards it spells desire
This mirror is also in the never-ending story
8:10 orphans still had parents at some point 😂
Because I watched GoT before binging on this series, I have a cross-world theory: Arya killed Walder, took his face, went west of Westeros. What’s west of Westeros? HOGWARTS!
Filtch is Arya and she’s learning how to be a witch! 😉☺️😅
#LeaveLogicAndHPLoreOutOfThis
I’ll tell why he had to go to the Dursleys when you finish all the movies lol
it doesn’t even tell u in the movies anyways
@@lizzyloolop Yes, but it explains later in the books and should still be explained at the appropriate time even if someone hasn't read them
Oooh, I'm excited!
You are so beautiful 😩love to see reactions to my favorite movie series❤
Voldemort is the overarching villain of the series that doesn't mean there won't be other villains
Enjoy!
Interesting. TOOTP is my favorite book in the series, but my least favorite film. They left out too much important information in the movie.
@MsAppassionata yeah I agree that and others like Goblet of Fire (I think) had lost the most details from book to movie. Considering they were longer. I wish every book had two movies like Deathly Hallows. I get it was a cliche and sort of cash grab move to split the last film of a series in two. But I also liked it because it meant at least one of the books gets more screen time that it likely needs😆
Here's hoping the new TV series is a good proper complete adaption. But I'm scarred they'll change things uncessarily and for the worst.
@@slenderfoxx3797 Hmm… I’m an older Potter fan and I don’t even know if I’ll get to see the complete series. When is it set to start?
@@MsAppassionata the tv show only has a teaser so far. 2025 maybe. Or 2024 not sure.
In the book that shit actually hits ron dead on the head full force 30:50
Ohhh ouch 😵💫
I don't know why, but I get emotional everytime I all Harry Potter, at least the first one. It's so overwhelming
You know things, you just didn’t know the context. Which is fine, can’t wait to see your reactions to all the movies 🤘🏽
