We learn that Amy is an unrealiable character and we cannot trust any of her narration. That is part of what makes her character so twisted lol. The book is amazing!
Desi is even creepier in the book. If I'm remembering correctly, he had things she would need or like (ex. a full closet of clothes) set up in his house. As if she'd been living there all the years they were apart. He didn't deserve to die but was also very unhinged himself.
Ehhhhh. In the book, they also mention how controlling and attached Desi's mom is to HIM...and how the s*cide attempt never actually happened. Also how Amy looks exactly like Desi's mom. I wouldn't be totally shocked that Amy is twisting things again to suit her needs. Again, she is established as an unreliable narrator. Honestly, my read on Desi is a dude with serious mommy issues picked the wrong girl to fawn over and it ended up killing him. I don't think he would have ever harmed Amy but in Amy's mind...he would. Maybe she is making him more dangerous to justify murdering him to herself.
He wouldn’t let her leave the house for any reason. When she asked him for money in case of an emergency, he gave her like $40 even though he’s ridiculously rich. He started controlling what she ate so she’d lose the extra weight she gained during the time she was on the run. He hardly let her be on her own while he was at the house and was always floating into the room intruding on her space. He was definitely worse in the book

Actually, when talking about Amy, Gillian said she liked writing about "detestable women". The story is more about Amy than it is about Nick. My auntie has had a crush on Ben Affleck for a few decades now. I didn’t get it at first but…yeah 👀. His character is a POS in this movie but from what I’ve seen and heard from him he’s cool peoples.
Okay I got a problem with saying "but Nick is a douche" and saying he's just as toxic as Amy. Yes, Nick is a bad boyfriendand, a liar, can be a huge asshole and not a good person in general. But he is not a murderer or a physical abuser. He did not deserve this nor is he just as bad as Amy so they deserve each other or whatever.
Nick: Kinda a jackass but if you seriously belive that cheating is punishable by death especially in this manner then yall need some help. Tommy: Didn't want to wear the ties Amy gave him so she made him into a rapist. Desi: A bit of a creeper but he did not deserve to die. Tldr: Amy is so evil that basically everyone else in the story looks like a angel. If you support Amy then that is a red flag for being a femcel.

I absolutely love this film. One of my favourite films. The casting is on point. Both characters are sociopaths but more so Amy. To me she is one of the best female villains ever to grace the screen.
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince nick didnt just cheat, amy centered her life around him, moved to missouri where no one liked her and she had no connections, took on hospice care of his dying mom, funded his business ventures and lived the Cool Girl speech to make him happy. in return nick was supposed to be the guy who saves her, the guy he portrayed himself to be at the beginning. he cheated and got lazy about being that best version of himself and didn’t appreciate amys devotion. him cheating was the last straw. amy’s life for the last 5 years is now meaningless all in vain and a waste of energy love and time. amy wants nick to feel her loss and disappointment and nick is incapable of empathizing so she hurts him how he would feel it. destroyed his life ruined his reputation lose everyones trust in him have the world despise him and then sent to death row. her original plan was to die in the end bc her life is hollow now. it is criminal what she did it is batshit but to her it is equivalent to what he did to her.
I disagree. I do believe putting ur hand on a woman is 99% wrong but there is a 1% where I do allow it, and it’s defense. The guy is just an awkward guy who doesn’t know social cues. He’s a cheater and awkward but just because he is, doesn’t mean he should go to jail becuz of the way u feel about him. She’s a master manipulator and a compulsive liar. The world was against him on top of him cheating. You have the media putting their not factual opinions to the masses and a lot of people ate up what the news said. The citizens treat him bad cuz of what the news said. Their marriage wasn’t going well, they wanted different things, and etc. thou he should’ve talked to the other girl when they were separated not together but he should’ve just came out with it from the getco (the divorce) instead of waiting on the anniversary. 99% of what she narrated is fake. A lot of the visuals (from her pov) is fake. Even she came back to him, she trapped him. Thou usually I don’t agree with physical defense from a man if the female is not physical, only verbal. but I’ll excuse it for this time cuz if I was a man and had a woman like that and she trapped me like that, I can’t leave cuz my life would be in ruins. You already see that on the internet with baby mamas lying to control the baby daddy. the whole world already hated me before, and if I leave they would really be angry and citizens get together to ruin people they deem unworthy. I would be angry too. The world is against him. What can he do? But be at her control. Again he maybe a cheater and awkward but nobody deserves to be put in a position like how this woman put him in.
i hate how this creator keeps re iterating that they don't like the husband cos of the domestic abuse, that part was literally a lie by the wife, hate him for the cheating sure, but if u hate him for pushing her u should also hate him for killing her cos she claims that too
I'ma add some context for people who didnt read the book! Amy is not nearly the unreliable narrator people say she is because you also get Nicks perspective where he literally echoes that he was a shitty husband and that the worst thing she ever gave him was her disappointment bc he failed her in the marriage. 2. You feel less bad for Desi bc he very much is obsessed with broken women which is also echoed by Nick bc hes actually met him and Desis mother. 3. You tend to feel less bad for Nick not bc of the cheating or his failings as a husband but because he doesnt leave her bc hes genuinely infatuated with her. At the end shes a few months pregnant and even though she terrifies him and he claims to want to still leave he becomes a better writer, he loses weight, he becomes a better him overall and he even admits to himself he will never be happy with another woman bc she isnt insane enough to kill someone for him. 4. The last page is hilarious because when she asks him why is he so good to her now he says "because you have to be you all the time" and i just love it
I would argue Amy still an unreliable narrator regardless if Nick is also still a douche. Like ma'am, you can get a divorce. And if it was JUST about Nick...why drag Margo into it as an accessory to MURDER? She literally did NOTHING to Amy except not like her.
I’m sorry but as good as this movie is…is this not giving girls/women ideas of how to completely destroy a man 😅 all that madness because of CHEATING! The way you yelled “HOLY SHIT” at the death scene lmaoo I repeated that 10 times
Amy is sick/toxic but so is Nick. that's why they stayed "together" in the end of the movie or book. being sick and toxic to and with each other.
Makes sense honestly 😂
I always thought he only stayed with her because he didnt want the baby to raised by her alone
exactly! In the book, it's clear because we read his realization that they're perfect for each other, and any other relationship he'll go into after that will pale in comparison. Also, yeah he wanted to protect their baby. Great book/movie!
@@thekid6467 In the book, Nick also finds himself fascinated with Amy after the whole missing/murder thing.
He never put his hands on her tho from the diary…she made all that up tho he did get mad and push her at the end lol also she was crazy before the cheating so idk about that message lol
welp i wasn’t sure lol, especially towards the end but thanks for clarifying 😭
@@MiyaElizabethReactsyea he definitely pushed her at the end out of anger (not justifying) but nah she just crazy enough to make all that stuff up at the beginning 🤣
No he didn’t put his hands on her before the end. He only did it after she tried to destroy his life, framed at least 2 men for rape and killed one of those men, and is now trapping him in the most toxic marriage to ever exist.
Seriously, this marriage is diabolical.
Can’t a girl have hobbies

Im a new subscriber!!! And this is one of my fav movies!! So glad you reacted to it!! ❤ cant wait to watch
the think is a lot of people defend Amy actions like she did the right thing that's scary to think that people side with her even tho she killed a guy and everything her husband is a piece of shit but did he deserved to be frame for murder or everything she did to him ?! hell no ..
Average femcel logic.
I just found your channel! I’m binge watching your game of thrones videos right now lol I love the way you edit!
This is the most believable character Ben affleck has ever played lol.
Hello Sweetheart, it’s been a minute. Love love that you still have the Stark Banner hanging. Can’t wait to see you react to this incredible movie. Happy Holidays
I didn't know you watched LOST!!!! Juliet is my favorite character!!
If you want to watch something with a big plot twist i really recommend Behind her Eyes, I’d love to see your reaction
The music is so great 😂❤
Oh this reaction is gonna be goooood 😂
Thank You!!! Staring is rude. I don’t even want my dog to stare at me, let alone people 😂
Mint and chocolate is delicious. Thin mints are literally the best Girl Scout cookies
Heeeyyyy Miya 💜 miss gone girl needs an exorcism.
She needs something for sure 😂
Yay a new upload!
Thanks for a great share, reaction...re: A Simple Favor-it is a great movie also as you mentioned..can always do a re-reaction video of it. Haven't seen people on yt reacting to it, at all. At least not on my algorithm. Great reactions on this again, Ty!
you HAVE to watch finsher's The girl with the dragon tattoo
Sherri Papini actually did this lol Not the murdering and stuff but she faked her own kidnapping and shit then came back and got found out and arrested lol there are youtube videos about it and interrogation videos lol shes NUTS
So did Carlee Russell, last year. Most people forget because the media has buried it
Girl you are hilarious Subscribed immediately ❤
Great reaction. That actress is certifiably insane. I love to hate her in her roles. I'd recommend I Care Alot with her.
Haha loved this reaction. The female of the species can be more deadly than the male. And sidenote..you are gorgeous ❤
No the scene of the argument they had with nick not wanting a baby and him putting his hands on her was one of the lies from the diary, he wasn't lying to Go when he said he was the one who wanted a baby and went to the clinic, and didn't lie to the investigator when he said he never put his hands on her, it was only that ending scene where he slams her against the wall.
that was the most confusing bit to me too when I first watched it. he was a lousy cheating asshole, not an abuser
idr well but i think he was a worse person in the book though
My auntie has had a crush on Ben Affleck for a few decades now. I didn’t get it at first but…yeah 👀. His character is a POS in this movie but from what I’ve seen and heard from him he’s cool peoples.
Girl on the train is another good one!!!
I thought of that movie right away when I saw this movie comment.
I’ve seen it a couple years ago, was a really good movie tbh 👏🏾
ayeee i was the 1,000 like. Loved the vid
Great and smart reaction. Amy made up the abuse in the diary including when he pushed her.
You should make a reaction video for the new hunger games movie
She is so crazy omg.. men morally wrong her and she puts them in jail
A Simple Favor is the stupidest movie I have ever seen 😂
Nick: Kinda a jackass but if you seriously belive that cheating is punishable by death especially in this manner then yall need some help.
Tommy: Didn't want to wear the ties Amy gave him so she made him into a rapist.
Desi: A bit of a creeper but he did not deserve to die.
Tldr: Amy is so evil that basically everyone else in the story looks like a angel. If you support Amy then that is a red flag for being a femcel.
Love won, marriage saved - happy end
omggg please watch the new hunger games ballad of songbirds next!!
Girl you had an open mind and didn’t roast Nick.
33:30 oh she gagged her baaaaaad

Do you have a movies playlist? you gottaaa do more fincher movies
Amazing Amy is AMAZING 😅😅
NOTISSSSS
What mic are you using?
It’s a mic from Amazon called USB Microphone MAONO Plug and Play
you're so real for only rooting for the cat at the end of the day, these people are all awful and I'm loving watching them do their terrible things. I feel like Succession owes a lot to this movie and book, lowkey
You are right about the mint ice cream. Disgusting.
amy is as meticulous and disciplined and committed in her marriage as she is in planning her revenge, i find that kind of thorough diligence admirable. amy is insane for doing this tho. i think she lied about the r*pe just to punish her ex, idk how she rationalizes things to herself or what he did to deserve that humiliation but 🤷🏽♀️
amy did nothing wrong
Just discovered your channel and binged all your vids. Youre such a fun person to watch movies withhhh
Thank youuu🥰🥰
Can you please do the new hunger games movie ❤

nothing amy says is true
You should definitely react to the movie: World war Z with Brad Pitt cause that movie is OFF THE HOOK, it came out in 2013❤
We will not stand for any amazing Amy slander!!! 😤😤😤😤 she did that shit 👏
I meannnn she crazy 😗
She is insufferable
I absolutely love this film. One of my favourite films. The casting is on point. Both characters are sociopaths but more so Amy. To me she is one of the best female villains ever to grace the screen.
i feel like i woulda been steady rooting for Amy if she didn’t accuse her last boyfriend of such a heinous crime.
Imagine rooting for her husband to die potentially for simply cheating lol
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince”simply cheating” is crazy but I agree that allat wasn’t needed
In the book she dropped the charges.
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince i do imagine since i said it lol sorry 💁🏻♀️

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🏿
Again he maybe a cheater and awkward but nobody deserves to be put in a position like how this woman put him in.
i hate how this creator keeps re iterating that they don't like the husband cos of the domestic abuse, that part was literally a lie by the wife, hate him for the cheating sure, but if u hate him for pushing her u should also hate him for killing her cos she claims that too
Hi Miya
Hi 👋🏽 💕
@@rincaimo812 well ofc shes absolutely insane i just meant the way she told us how she got there wasnt unreliable her justifications were
What kind of logic is that? Amy literally makes things up in her narrative. That is the text book definition of unreliable narrator.
My goodness you are one gorgeous lady 😍🔥🥵
I’m sorry but as good as this movie is…is this not giving girls/women ideas of how to completely destroy a man 😅 all that madness because of CHEATING! I’m laying next to my lady now and looking at her with a side 👀
And you know there are girls/women out there who has seen and has got curious. 👀 scary s*** man
A woman like her that comes to my mind is instantly amber heard. The bottle scene inspired AH too lol
39:26 That is the conclusion.
okay, I know that was the conclusion but i just meant like a little something more😭😭
