Dream Theater - "Octavarium" - Final Solo by Mirko Fadda

“Octavarium” is a song, an album and a concept that has no equal, and to me represents one of the absolute pinnacles of a band that has shaped my whole existence in an absolute positive way. 
A Masterpiece in a Masterful, Genius, musical effort, that I encourage everyone to re-discover and appreciate its “Story”, references and overall brilliance! A proper “Full circle” ⭕️

“This story ends where it began…”

So here is the final guitar solo of this epic journey that I really tried to mimic “as it is” on the album, and I recorded with my phone, with no audio overdubs, as I enjoy the challenge of capturing a whole performance, with all the emotions of interpreting all the different passages and nuances… as you can see from my slightly trembling thumbs up at the very end! But as they give me strength and motivation to become a better musician, I like to re-watch clips like this one where I got close, or as close as I can get, to the playing of the Maestro, to internalise “as it has to be done” 😊
