I don´t understand why you want to use rubber gloves for a work like this, I mean if I don´t wanna lose any screws it surely won´t help me to have splashing wet hands in puffy rubber gloves all sticky with grease and no sense of grip. I guess it is a matter of taste how you wanna do it?
On a repair like this it’s not really necessary for me to have gloves on. For this one it was kinda just force of habit. Mostly the biggest reason I buy and use gloves are for when I’m working on and cleaning consoles that are really nasty on the inside just so I don’t have to wash my hands a whole bunch during the process. I hope that makes sense and thank you for watching!
@@E.B._Tech Yeah I guess it makes sense. For my part a really dirty console is like one of the cleaner jobs I can do when compared to what filth I have to work with at my job in some cases. When you work with caravans and motorhomes with all that it includes you would not believe how nasty some things can truly be. You would probably rather use a bug infested dusty console as a food plate rather than digging with your arms and face all the way inside waste tanks and mice nests full with molded hair and all their leftovers eaten wires and isolation over other things I won’t even mention. I also worked on boats for more than 10 years. They included Tulips and clams and these grow on the hauls so after the boats were taken out of the water they started to rot and decay in the sun making liquid decay and stench go beyond your senses when you had to scrape them off. Mixed with with all kinds of chemicals and all together combining into smells you instinctively run away from in fear. But in fact I have worked so much with all this kind of stuff I don’t really bother about it anymore. It’s just work for me. But I do have some things too terrifying to explain for which I still fear to do, Shivers LOL
@Pulverrostmannen yeah I certainly see what you mean that does sound like a pretty nasty job comparatively 😂 my real job is detailing cars and I’ve cleaned up some pretty disgusting ones but I don’t think I’ve had anything near that bad lol
@@E.B._Tech ha ha indeed. But luckily enough is most stuff I do “relatively l” clean anyway. I do some detailing too sometimes. But I am mostly troubleshooting and repairing all kinds of stuff. Including old consoles and stuff on my free time which I like to play with sometimes :)

What kind of consoles do you fix the most?
So far I actually think I’ve fixed PS2s the most. This one was the 4th or 5th I believe
What console do you enjoy working on the most?
@oliviaadams9141 I really like working on Xbox 360s they’re cool and easy to mess with
