I just started container gardening and see how it goes this year. See how the veggies grow and how big they get then ill have a good idea what i need to improve on next year. I got poor soil so decided to do the container method.Thumbs Up!
Beth, i love your garden so much. Could u do a video on how the garden actually came about, from how you designed the area, divide it, how you grow your green wall dividers, how long it took to put everything together etc. I would love such a pretty garden one day. Your garden looks so sunny and clean, seems like all your pots look the same, hence very aesthetically cohesive. Love love your channel!
Hi, im a newbie to gardening. I love container gardening. I live in a condo home, but have a great size patio and yard area. It is partly shaded, but has some sun. I am glad I found you to help me learn and understand. Thanks
Hi! I am a fan from Korea. I have been growing Basils and lettuce indoor. And after watching your videos, I am starting to grow other herbs as well! It is not going to be the same as yours that grown at your lovely garden! Thank you for great information for taking care of plants! Will be looking forward your other videos to come! 😊
You are such an inspiration, Miss Beth, your personality is so pleasant! Now I think I’m getting “ Wanna be Beth syndrome!”🥴 I’m a busy grandma, always on standby so we’ll see if I can fit gardening in my schedule. 🥰
I am VERY new to gardening....less than a week in. I've decided to begin with herbs, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Thanks for your pointers! I have a covered patio (which is AWESOME for our intense summers). But I'm worried my new patiomates will not get enough sun 😱. My fingers and crossed 😬!
I'm so excited to watch these gardening videos! My mom and I are really trying to get a small garden going and these are so helpful. You're so good at explaining and teaching things.
Great video Beth! This will be very helpful for me because I recently started a veggie garden in one location and have herbs, peppers, strawberries, cherokee purple tomatoes, etc. and next year I am planning to have a veggie and fruit garden in a medium sized balcony (Califorrnia) and it is very sunny so this video will help a lot! Thanks so much!
Hi Beth, always enjoy your recipes and now your gardening videos. I'm planning to star my tiny garden on my balcony but live in Vegas. I would love to have a video for beginners: what to use, how much of what. Thanks!
Can't wait to have my own garden Beth! This video was so instructive! My mom has a lemon tree and it takes a while to give those big yellow lemons. I shall buy her citrus soil for the tree to eat. Please continue to do more videos! I'll be sure to continue to watch. 😉
Love love love your gardening videos, Beth! Can you please make one about flowers too? Also, I live in the equatorial where it's hot and humid all year round, it'd be nice if you give us some pointers on what kind of plants suit this climate!
Just came across your channel, your garden, your videos, they are all so beautiful. I came here cz I have recently planted tomato seeds. They seem to be growing well. Now I will have to transfer them to a bigger container and follow all the other tips 😊 Thank You
Beth could you please do a video on how you store all of you crops after the harvest? I'd love to have a garden but I'm afraid everything will go bad before I get to eat it.
Love watching your videos ! I don’t have a green thumb and I started my seeds and they are ready to go to the next step to smaller pots ! Do you recommend a certain top of soil ... they will be above ground in pots
Those fabric bags are pretty good, they air prune the roots. And they save space when storing away. Slugs love hiding under them and in between the bag and soil however. There are not some kumquats which do not have sour flesh but are sweet as well.
Beth, i love your garden. It goes so well with all of those plants. You made a great job. Thanks for the coffee tip, it´s amazing! I hope to plant some fruits and vegetables this year too. I´m a blueberry lover. Have a good day, Patricia.
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! Can you speak to the best times to plant some of these for given zones? I live in south Texas and get mixed input on when to plant what.
Hi Beth. Great video, Brilliant advice. Thank you so much. I've started my own fruit and vegetable garden I've got a lot and this video is perfect and great tips. Cheers Sarah X
Today, i planted spring-mix salad, red romaine lettuce, red cabbage and cayenne-peppers, all in pots. It's mid-October and i'm having a time finding cherry-tomatoes.
Hi Beth! Love your gardening videos! I watched your tomato video and was wondering where did you get those stacking tomato cages? I'm growing tomatoes this year! Thank you!
Hello, love your videos! I grow berries in pots (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. I was wondering if you can repot them to bigger pots if needed?
wow, good timing, beth, i was searching for container gardening tips last night because i'd like to start a tiny garden on my balcony! so far i only have carrot seeds which take 60-85 days to grow. i have a question about garlic - how long does it take to grow? i'll be planting mid-late-june and i live in southern ontario, hot and humid summers but it stays warm from may-october. is that enough time to grow a little garlic bulb? :D
Great video! Is it possible to keep the plants alive through the winter... not necessarily producing fruit/veggies, but alive for the next spring/summer season? Or are they basically annuals that will need to be re-planted each year? I live in the Great Lakes region where it gets very cold in the winter.
Yeah!! I only use my fresh grown herbs!! Love my curry plant and Greek oregano on potatoes! Yummy! What do you recommend for container shade edible gardens and please advise where I can get your "exact" tomato cages... Not the coated ones but the actual Stainless, with extensions and which fold easy - tomatoes cages you have - please And a side note: my garlic doesn't seem to like shade
Hey Beth! I am in love with all that you do and I am trying to get back into gardening. I live in Texas and have 93 acres (ugh...) and am in love with the pea gravel? That you use in your garden. I mean I have sandy soil, lots of trees but there is too much grass and then too many weeds. I told my husband that my defined garden space (which I have) needs a makeover. So, is it pea gravel you have or some other kind of rock? Granted I am in Texas not California but he wants to know. I had him watch your gardening videos and he is very impressed. It would be funny to container garden when you have 93 acres but no! I think it is a way to have some control. I have a lot of old galvanized steel water tanks I have used over the years for my horses that have rusted through. I thought of filling them with great soil and pea graveling around so I can get away from weeds. What do you think?
Hello Beth: I notice in some of your entertaining videos you are using the John Boos cutting board, love the size you have, would you share with the size (dimensions) you have, I ordered a 24X18X2.5 and it was too big for my counter and so heavy I could barely pick it up.
Beth it's been a year since your last video! Please upload something. Your videos are so lively and positive, and I need some more inspiration. It's Spring here in Australia, maybe some good seasonal tips for spring to summer.
We just moved to Texas and my mom was looking forward to having a garden bc of the weather (we moved from NY) she has mint and a jasmine flower plant but the weather is sooo BIPOLAR! what can we do when it rains too much or randomly gets cold at night?! PLS any TIPS
I don't have a balcony or any outdoor part of my apartment so I've been looking into lighted apartment versions that might even use compost inside of the function of the overall system possibly a small Greenhouse setup with the lights and the compost in the under parts for bare root plants any advice
Hi Beth :) I love your gardening videos! I would like to start gardening but just recently bought a house in pretty dense woods so we have almost no sun. Are there any herbs, fruits, or veggies that might grow in very low, indirect sunlight?
Hello Beth! I know you said before you open up this channel seasonally. When will you be opening up the channel again this year? I am very excited to find out what you're growing and hear your gardening tips and tricks!
Hi Beth, I was wondering what are the dimensions of the pot you have your kumquat in because I want to get a good size pot for my kumquat when I get it
Please could you advise me how to grow herbs and plants in the UK. We don't get much sun lol and I can't afford a green house. Any ideas will be a huge help!
I had clear storage boxes that i put over my plants (I have some that are pretty big and tall so they can cover most of the green veg I grow. It acts like a cold frame but costs very little as I get them from discount stores. Keeps insects out too. You can drill holes in it so it can breath. If it is windy i put a brick on it to weigh it down.
Last year I had a balcony garden that grew pretty well. I planted bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, jalapeños, tomatoes, and herbs. Other than the tomatoes and herbs, all of my veggies had copious amounts of ants in and around them. Do you have any tips on how to either avoid them all together or treat the plants to keep them at bay? Thank you p.s. I love both of your channels!
I'm actually in Arizona in Phoenix which is hot all year round it's desert of desert so me not having the balcony might actually work to my favor because I could grow the used for more months than others might be able to provided I could get to the correct temperature lighting and water requirements without actually being in direct sunlight they've still probably get quite a bit of heat even without the window there right next to them or them being on a balcony it's just hot here
hi beth i live in kentucky and our zone is a six, but problem is, i want zone 9-10 stuff ): should i go through the trouble of building a intricate greenhouse or a custom one for each plant. the plants/trees im worried about is a banana (i know it's silly) , orange, apple tree and a pineapple bush i suppose it called. thank you for the tips, greatly appreciated
I've heard you can use egg shells as a fertilizer in tomato plants. Is this true? I think the idea is that they're loaded with calcium and it's good for the plant?
Hi Beth, I love your gardening videos. however I live in Mumbai, India where I don't think such packaged gardening material is easily available. Can you recommend me some tips.
I just started container gardening and see how it goes this year. See how the veggies grow and how big they get then ill have a good idea what i need to improve on next year. I got poor soil so decided to do the container method.Thumbs Up!

Today, i planted spring-mix salad, red romaine lettuce, red cabbage and cayenne-peppers, all in pots. It's mid-October and i'm having a time finding cherry-tomatoes.
i also use coffee on my raspberries (i open used capsules haha) and they seem to like it a lot! planting berries in acidic soil really does the trick.
All this info is super useful~ Thanks for sharing~ I've got bell peppers planted.
HI Beth, you have a wonderful garden. your video is good too!
Hi Beth! Love your gardening videos! I watched your tomato video and was wondering where did you get those stacking tomato cages? I'm growing tomatoes this year! Thank you!
