- The house of Givenchy is pleased to present a brand-new capsule collection in collaboration with Disney, starring Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit, in celebration of the Lunar New Year 2023 and Disney’s 100th anniversary.
Creative Director Matthew M. Williams sources inspirations around the globe, from New York and Paris to Los Angeles, Shanghai, Tokyo and beyond. For this collaboration, the designer worked with Disney to create a “one-of-a-kind world tour,” that fuses Oswald’s mischievous, high-energy spirit with his own directional aesthetic for Givenchy, in a capsule of collectible statement pieces that capture the spirit of adventure.

@@VictorGonzalez-xs9oc I mean he’s been forgotten for so long for almost 94 years, People might begin to remember him and if this is canon for future Epic Mickey games, he and Ortensia could get their hearts back and return to the cartoon world as Stars. Like they were so long ago.

Honestly, it seems natural tbh, especially since he has the special trait of the rubber hose animation style, a style that we sadly don't get to see to often anymore, it seems that even more recently, even Mickey has lost that style as they years have gone by, probably because he was used so often, he had to evolve with the times, meanwhile Oswald keeping shut in the vault, untouched untill recently, has caused him to still have those traits. Long live the rubber hose animation and long live Oswald!

Oh, sure it's thanks to Bob Iger, thanks to him that's why he returns the rights to Oswald and from there they made Epic Mickey 1 and 2 as well with certain cameos and an animated series. Unfortunately this latest project was canceled after he retired and was replaced by another CEO who is Chapek (I think that's his name) but since they weren't doing well in their stocks and investments, Bob came back once more.

96 years old and he still has a spring in his step, from watching films of him that took place in 1928 to Epic Mickey 1 and 2 to 2023. Even from being a forgotten toon in Wasteland with out a heart he always had the heart to show he's still here with us. Thank you Disney for bringing Oswald back in the world for us.

I'm glad Disney is starting to bring back Oswald and Oswald needs to be the main character and part of The Sensational Six because I loved his interactions with Mickey in Epic Mickey 2 and would to see more of Oswald and Mickey's interactions in future cartoons.

@@William_Oswald1 Julius's problem is that he's not a cartoon star, he was Alice's companion in Alice Comedies, nothing more. In addition, Disney got rid of the idea of cartoon cats because at that time there were many, from there there were leading independent creations like Oswald and Mickey.

Oh yeah! Oswald is back and we as fans keep winning, now we just have to wait for more new surprises with this iconic character. I am sure that this year from now on will be something big for Oswald and I do not doubt that Oswald fans, Epic Mickey fans, adults, children or new generations will love him too.
I will not buy these clothes and I have not seen a Givenchy store in my country but... anyway this is good news and I hope that Disney will make more content with Os. Let luck be just the beginning.
