Big respect for the M9, just personally always sucked with it. Kinda wish that wasn't the case though, 'cuz I'd love to be the guy who carries that classic piece of American military history.

You're my gun brother from another mother. My two pistols are my Beretta M9 (with G conversion) and 6" S&W 686+. Keep it up. Big fan of this channel.

Another reason to carry the M9 in the half cock position is that it prevents the pistol from inadvertently being put on “Safe”.

I have a M9A4 centurion and it's one of my favorite guns. 18+1 and shoots so soft and accurate!!!

Love to see someone that knows how to run a Beretta 92. I've gotten so many comments on my basic instruction video aboout the 92 saying "Why decock? Why decock then throw the safety off? Why not cock the hammer back?"

User manual specifically states NOT to carry the.firearm in the half cocked position.

Thats probably because in order to be in 'half cock' ---your safety must be OFF. ....Of course the manufacturer won't condone that on paper-----even if it is tactically appropriate

Enjoy your cool videos. Lots of shooting with hyperbole conversation that’s succinct and to the Point. Outdoor Farm/ Terrain plinking is the ultimate as a opposed to the other guys on ranges.

A great pistol. Ones in the Army were beat to hell and back. Guys have a hard time mastering that da to sa transition. Takes practice but can be done with training. The M9 / 92 series is dang accurate after you get accustomed to it. But I do admit shooting any striker fired weapon is easier. Heck even a 1911 style can get pretty intuitive to shoot quickly. I'd love to see you do some 1911 videos. Maybe a viewer or buddy can hook you up so we can get some mighty fine instruction videos.

Love it! I like the G models that are decocker only. I don't see any advantage of having a manual safety on a DA/SA pistol with a stock trigger.

Why half cock and not “full cock” im not sure but can’t you just bring hammer all the way back and have it be SA trigger?
I’m new to guns and I’ve been advised to get beretta. My first thought was to also cock it and leave safety off for faster and consistent reaction also to skip the DA trigger. I didn’t know you can half cock.

    What’s better M9 orM9A1

M9A1 for sure. It has a lot more internal and external upgrades than the M9. And it has a rail too.
