Brian my wife in her 40’s has experienced hearing loss, isn’t a tech nerd like me so never had air pods before. I told her to hold off on hearing devices as I knew this new software feature was coming and ordered her a pair. It has been game changing, she is a teacher and told me how much she has been missing out on as she can hear sooooo much more now, especially certain softer voices. Kudos Apple, for anyone experiencing hearing loss the AirPods Pro2 are worth every penny!!! Great interview, enjoy your content as always!
Brian, this was such a good upload! I have to commend you for being able to get two Apple execs on your channel to speak with you. On a personal level, I’m sure they must feel like quite the accomplishment. As a viewer, this is just so invaluable because it used to be rare to get any insight from inside Apple. Before, the closest we really got to it was through Apple Explained. There’s so many times I wish I could *know* what Apple insiders were thinking on a project and you delivered that here to us. Thank you. Such a great piece here!
I just got my software set up for the hearing aid mode. As someone with some hearing loss, I’m really impressed how well it works. Thanks to Apple for this.
Really a helpful interview. I recently lost one of my AirPods Pro 1 ear pieces and was thinking about getting the Pro 2 especially for the hearing aid feature since I'm now up there in years. So I think this interview sold me on getting a new pair.
One of the BEST podcast episodes ever! 🎉 Thank you so much, Brian, for sharing this super informative info! This means a lot to my family, and we’re so grateful for what Apple 🍏 has done with hearing aids through AirPods Pro. Incredible work! 👏🙏
Wow I am shocked at the fact you even got the VP of health and the SVP of Hardware Engineering for a interview. Even though I don't personally have airpods it was nice to hear the process that went into making them the way they are. I have airpods MAX and I hope some day they will deliver the same features to it 😭
Excellent video Brian! Very informative! I just took the hearing test and started to them as a hearing aid. Game changer! So cool how the technology allows people to use a product they already have and help them in their daily lives!
@ I tested them today with my wife. I was able to hear her when she was speaking in the kitchen and I was in the dining room with my back to her. Also I was able to clearly the sounds outside of the wind blowing our Halloween decorations around!
I really liked this interview and appreciated you Brian. Tech companies must serve people, not the way around. The more they make our lives easier, the more they deserve to be supported. This is the right way to recommend a product for a content creator and to produce it for a technology firm. 👍🏻
I only bought these after I found out about the extra small tips! Can’t wait till I can activate hearing aid features…a bit of a challenge to my old self🤣
Great look behind the curtain at Apple! When the first AirPods Pro model was announced, I was very interested in the features that could augment my hearing loss. I am now 76 years old and over the years have lost most of my hearing in my right ear and have moderate loss in my left ear. When the original Pro model was announced i immediately purchased them and have been using successfully for over two years. Now with the advent of the Pro 2, I recently purchased them in conjunction with the new software release. I took the test and was hopeful that following the test the hearing assistance aid would kick in and boost my hearing. However, apparently because the test results showed a profound loss in my right ear, the test would not activate the hearing assistance feature. Brian, with your connection to the folks you interviewed, could you reach out to them and describe my dilemma?
Have been using my AirPod pro 2s as hearing aids for mild to moderate hearing loss for over a year. Unbelievable sound quality. GREAT JOB APPLE! These are superior to Signia Pure and Go. Was able to hear across a 10 top at a wedding reception with the AirPod Pro 2s. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was a wonderful interview!!! I love learning about what goes on behind the scenes with these technologies and advancements. AirPods Pro 2 are undeniably my favorite Apple product. They have probably changed my life more so than I can say, and I truly appreciate the hard work the team at Apple has dedicated to providing an audio experience unlike no other! Thanks Brian!!!
So annoying the AirPods Max (apple’s most expensive headphones) did not get h2 and these hearing features. I much prefer the max for daily use, and need the hearing features, and the max has all-day battery life, unlike the pro.
I will say they definitely should have gotten the h2 chip but I don’t know if giving over the ear headphones the hearing features would be the best because I don’t think people would know your using them for hearing aids for example. It is undeniable that the inclusion of the H2 chip would have been advantageous. However, I am uncertain whether providing over-the-ear headphones with hearing assistance would be the most effective approach. There is a concern that individuals may not recognize the intended purpose of these headphones, potentially leading to misuse.
@@eastonbrewer1798very likely that the team at Apple is still trying to figure this out as we type this - and what the approach is to AirPods Max with an H2 Chip. Something tells me that they haven’t quite figured out what to do hence AirPods Max with no H2 chip.
@@Salacious_Jonathan But also the vision pro is new and they don’t really know what to do with it even so I feel like there making specific apple intelligence features for the vision pro right now
Can someone direct me to the video where Brian repped new compact fast USB charge blocks? I remember they were using some new tech that had them running g cooler. Can’t locate the brand/model.
We want to use it in EU, TR with user's responsibility. Why don't they set it free to use under the responsibility of user? Why they postpone it, it's not understandable...
@ Thanks Brian. Yes, I have 18.1, did not realize that my airpods had to be connected to the device you intend to use for the test just to read how it worked. Once over that obstacle, however, I found that none of the ear tips would fit for the tests, so I could not proceed to Hearing Assistance. Somehow, I do not know why, one of my ear tip trials passed, so then I was able to do a hearing test. Later tests failed again, but by then I had one completed and was able to use it to get a hearing test done. After applying that result I was able set up the pods to try out the hearing aid, but to no avail. I could not get the pods to assist my hearing at all! I will be looking forward to someone actually successfully getting the pods to work in this application. I have not found anyone yet. For me, so far, I spent an entire day on what I consider to be a flop.
October 2029: The results from your fullApple Remote physical are in and we are sorry to report that the news is not good. Would you like Siri to sit with you a while? How about some somber violin music? Would you perhaps like a second opinion from Google?
No question about worldwide availability and ofc no question why that powerful H2 chip is not part of Airpods Max. You're just a mouthpiece for Apple. SMFH
You don't know how this works do you. The topic of discussion was AirPods Pro 2z and as for why only in the west for now, approval. It takes time to do that. How about you learn how to talk to a stranger with some level of respect instead of being a total jerk.
You realize this discussion would go similarly with any company. If you don't like it, then don't watch. What are you so mad about? Go outside for a walk.

Brian, seriously, you've killed it since going on your own. Faster coverage on Apple than other unnamed content creators on youtube.
Thanks for noticing! I appreciate you still rolling with me! It's fun, and exhausting and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I don’t use “game-changing” often but using a commodity like the AirPods as a “hearing aid’ amongst its other features is brilliant.

I didn’t know these details. Off to the Apple store tomorrow!
This was awesome to watch and get insight from Apple
Waiting to get these in the UK. Look amazing and will make such a difference to many peoples lives.
Not available in the UK or France or Spain as yet! RIDICULOUS
Amazing what Apple has done with these little things. And surprised it was just a firmware update too.
Very much satisfied with the products

Brian - what video conferencing tool was used for this interview? The quality is amazing..
They recorded on WebEx and I locally recorded my own video and audio where I was at, while communicating on laptop through the Webex call.
More than 100dB for a concert is crazy. Never measured this in Switzerland.
When is the update?
the AirPods Pro 2.. are they using their built in mic for the hearing aid or are they using the iPhones mic? Thank you Brian.
From the AirPods
Thank you!
Apple should try add the Hear Aid feature in the AirPods Max
Do they really work exactly like hearing aids?
I wish it was in the uk did they say when it could be
One question do you know if its only for USA or its available in other countries like Australia for some reason I can’t make it work on mine with 18.1

What a disappointment.

So people use transparency at concerts but not adaptive?
Adaptive isn't as consistent and at least at my concert does weird things because it seems like too much is happening at once. Transparency is SO NICE
Why it’s still not available for me even after updating
Only available in us and Canada as of now
Can someone enlighten me what word she said in this timestamp 12:22 😅. “ “ product, where it means that it’s a first of its kind. 😅
Make sure you label the AirPods Pro 2 with LEFT EAR and RIGHT EAR in BOLD BLACK PRINT so us old folks can see it and put them in the correct ears.

Ah yes. Apple claiming it’s for everyone. You know. As long as you’re in the west
All of our users? Apparently not, because it's only USA & Canada.
They only question I have is the AirPods link you used has them for 280$ which’s 30$ more than actual price ???
