The gingham dress looks like it's handmade, which might explain the strange proportions. If you know a tailor/seamstress they may be able to adjust the top for you.
I agree that maybe a two piece set remade from the gingham would work. It probably was handmade to someone’s proportions. I thought everything was really nice and worth the price.
I think they did capture the overall feel of your style. The pieces were cute! My fave was the baby doll tee! I agree I would prefer no accessories and the wait time was soooo long!
The 'skirt' is an underskirt and is a form of underwear. It's meant to be worn under a see-through skirt/dress. It made me chuckle for it to be viewed as a skirt!! It's like going outside in your knickers and wearing them as shorts!😂 The red gingham (pronounced 'ging-gum') dress will look amazing on you once altered! The style box was good!
The first thing, the white lace in the bottom "skirt" is a slip! You actually wear it under dresses or skirts. In case we didnt know! But wear it however you'd like!
Try the first white shirt or the lace crop top over the red gingham dress to see if you like it better? I would definitely say that the pieces she picked without precise measurements for you look like they are all your style (from a regular viewer perspective)! Also, I thought the time it took to get to you is justified because of how well she did!
I think thats such a bargain! Might not be as cheap as thrift store prices, you essentially got a personal shopper and personal stylist which is usually sooo pricey, so I reckon it’s a super good deal, and you got cute things!!
I don’t think the wait was too long, especially since it included shipping(?)! I’d rather have sellers take more time building up nice bundles like yours, than rush to meet a deadline. I’ve seen to many disappointing unboxings lol! Obviously, a seller should communicate clearly during the process if the timeframe changes!
Technically with shipping & taxes it came to $79 😅 yeah it taking longer is definitely preferred if they are really putting in time to curate it but yeah I just wish they would have communicated that without me having to reach out 😭
Maybe it’s my age talking 😬 But it made me laugh how excited you are about slip yet don’t think of using it for it’s intended purpose, for under things that are shear! If you put it under the white dress then it won’t be shear and the lace at the bottom will just slightly show out the bottom. Super cute. Also, I really like the red dress on you, just needs some alterations.
Yeah I think it must be our ages talking, because her and Carrie both recently got slip “skirts” and I’m like those are straight up slips to be worn under a dress or skirt!
Not an age thing. I’m 33 and my first thought was but that’s an underskirt. My granny offered me her old ones just the other week, maybe I should have accepted 😂
Alexa, if you'd like with the red gingham dress, you could always turn it into a two piece and add a zipper to the skirt or add a sinched part to the top, or just keep it as a dress as is, but alter the straps where you can sinch it in more that it'll fit you properly!
For the red gingham - you could always do a milkmaid style with it! If you cut a slit under the bust , dart the lower section to fit then gather the upper section down. It would def need a zip or something to get on/off but it would fit you and your style more!
I’ve been watching you for years, since I worked at a secondhand clothing store back in grad school and started getting into fashion/thrifting, and can I just say, your EYEBROW GAME is so strong omg. Just so gorgeous
You should make yourself a little white, off white, or nude slip dress that you can wear under see through items. If you can sew a straight line, it is very easy to do and it will be so practical. Maybe even make a small cami and a mini slip skirt as well, just so your bases are covered.
Everything is so good!! For the white lace top, you could try with that red bra you got at the estate sale? Idk if that would work or not lol But they did a great job nailing your style!
Alexa very pretty pieces. my fave part was when your kitty was in the middle of the floor chillin! My cats do the same- I’m here!! Don’t care mom! My fave outfit was the baby tee floral skirt. Very cute bundle! I do agree as a seller myself I always communicate with buyers on shipping and give tracking info. Even if there is a delay such as weather it’s better to tell the buyer before they have to ask ! I might layer the sheer lace piece over a strappy sundress or over a long line bralette with trousers and a cute cardigan or a long flowy skirt. 🩵🍒🩵🍒
Your heart necklace is beautiful 😍 you could put your white slip underneath and it would look great and give you coverage if you want it plus it’s a layering piece 😊 love the floral on you , gorgeous print💜if you have a tube top you could try that under the lacy piece 😊
with the red gingham i think you should make a two piece; with the top as a scruched up tube top with bow straps and a mini skirt on the bottom omg alexa ya have tooooooo
So fun! What about the lace top over the gingham dress? That might help take it in and could be really cute! Also, making the dress into a two piece set would be super cute as well!!
In Britain we would call the first item a petty coat that would make another skirt less see through. And the white dress I think may be a night gown. Very interesting though.
I’d looove to see you get that red gingham Dress altered professionally!! That would be great. Also I know it’s not your style but the baby tee and that slip skirt being mid rise would look banger on you! I totally get liking high waisted things I’m the same.. but the mid rose on that skirt looks so cute on you! ❤
Totally worth it! Curated just for you and your style. Not perfect…..but is that really possible? I’ve watched Carrie’s mystery thrift box videos and they were crazy pricey and some were honestly terrible. I love watching her react to what she gets, though. 😂 I just love me some Carrie! This was SO much closer to your style than any I’ve seen. They really tried , you can tell! 💕
The white dress is so cute!!! And I’d like to see the baby t & white skirt even w the lacey top. I love the layered lingerie as street wear lewk but really struggle how to make it work for me.
If you ever feel like dipping your toes back into [semi] mystery boxes, I'm a big fan of Big Sister Swap. You send them 1,2 or 5k of clothes, fill out a style quiz and they send you back a curated box of clothes and accessories of the same weight. The only snag is that they're UK based ❤
You could wear the white slip skirt you got as a strapless dress under the white see-through dress! Also you could thrift flip the gingham dress into a two piece. That would be so cute 🥰
hey Alexa! love your channel! I would turn the red gingham dress into a two piece set! ☺ The bottom half of the dress seams a little too tight and long. just cut the dress in the middle. Then the top being a bit loose looks cuter because it´s a crop top. And the skirt part can now sit higher on you, therefore there‘s more room for your hips and it becomes shorter ☺ i hope that makes sense ❤
hi alexa:) i love your videos as always. I was just wondering if its not too much of a hassle, could you lower the exposure a little bit when you show pieces to the camera? i know you want good lighting, but also it sometimes makes the pieces washed out and we can't see the detailing and such! otherwise i love your videos so much and they inspire me and my wardrobe! :)
OMG the white button up is SO cute!! As for the red dress- i think it was custom made for the original owner so if you brought it to a seamstress she could adjust it for you
Just add a red heart belt to the red and white dress and if you can fine a red or pink cropped kean jacket would go great over it to cover the lose shoulders
I’d wear that white see through dress with a black high neck top, black stockings and some boots 😊. I think the seller did really though and you got your moneys worth.
The first white outfit was giving 1940’s lady who hasn’t put her skirt on over her slip. It’s definitely a look, I’m not used to you looking quite so retro. Glad this box turned out better than some of the others ❤.
You’ve mentioned altering a piece to make it fit better in multiple videos. Wondering if you ever actually end up doing this? It’d be great to see a video of the pieces that make it into the alteration pile getting transformed (whether it’s by your or your experience with a tailer)
Very cute pieces, glad you had luck with the box😊 I just came here to say that maybe you's want to shorten the elastic in the waist of the skirt instead of taking in the fabrick, because taking it in might mess with the silhouette.
omg thank you for explaining the "21 and over" thing on their website because it didn't have a $ next to it and i was like... these items are only for sale to those 21 and older???
The gingham dress looks like it's handmade, which might explain the strange proportions. If you know a tailor/seamstress they may be able to adjust the top for you.
Was just about to say this! Totally worth taking it to a seamstress/tailor to get it to fit perfectly.
Yes or Just make a cuble of darts in the top, it will make it fit more snug
I think the gingham dress altered would be great. Maybe even a two-piece set. Alexa, please tell us the brand of the white blouse. omg so good!
It’s by True Meaning!! ❤️
I agree that maybe a two piece set remade from the gingham would work. It probably was handmade to someone’s proportions. I thought everything was really nice and worth the price.
I agree a two piece set would be so cute!!
I agree! A 2 piece with that little lace top under!! Super cute!
I think they did capture the overall feel of your style. The pieces were cute! My fave was the baby doll tee! I agree I would prefer no accessories and the wait time was soooo long!
This is the best mystery thrift box you’ve gotten that’s reasonably priced and not a million dollars 😱
The 'skirt' is an underskirt and is a form of underwear. It's meant to be worn under a see-through skirt/dress. It made me chuckle for it to be viewed as a skirt!! It's like going outside in your knickers and wearing them as shorts!😂
The red gingham (pronounced 'ging-gum') dress will look amazing on you once altered! The style box was good!
We called them half slips. Full slips go the entire length of the dress.
@@danicegewiss862 Exactly. That's what I grew up calling them, 'a slip'.
The first thing, the white lace in the bottom "skirt" is a slip! You actually wear it under dresses or skirts. In case we didnt know! But wear it however you'd like!
Ummm the white lace top and red gingham are PERFECTION!!! ❤️
Very cool mysterybox!! Make the gingham dress a two piece set, i think that will be amazing :)
oooh a matching two piece would be SO cute especially in that print
I would look into getting the red gingham dress tailored, it's so cute!
Try the first white shirt or the lace crop top over the red gingham dress to see if you like it better? I would definitely say that the pieces she picked without precise measurements for you look like they are all your style (from a regular viewer perspective)! The way my eyes shot open at the baby tee with the fairy image (I'm obsessed with flower fairies) 😍 such a good mystery thrift box!
it's a brandy melville shirt if u want to look for it!
@@skengels ahhh tysm!!

I was thinking the same thing. Like, it’s a slip, not a skirt. But, that’s probably just my age talking.
Agree😊
Yeah I think it must be our ages talking, because her and Carrie both recently got slip “skirts” and I’m like those are straight up slips to be worn under a dress or skirt!
Not an age thing. I’m 33 and my first thought was but that’s an underskirt. My granny offered me her old ones just the other week, maybe I should have accepted 😂
SAME!!! 😂
The baby tee with the black floral skirt actually looked really great! I'd keep it with thay skirt, or a denim one.
I know, right? It's giving late 90s/y2k casual style. I like it
It looked so good!!
I think the lacey top could look cute underneath the red gingham dress. Kind of a modern dirndl style!
Oh my gosh! I agree that the red gingham dress would make a wonderful two piece set!!
with some alterations, I think the gingham dress would look so cute with some fruit embroidery! great piece to learn some basic embroidery with
Maybe try wearing a denim vest on top of the gingham dress! Would pair so cute with your cowboy boots too!
Great idea!!
Your hair and makeup is stunning!!! I swear your videos inspire my style so much! ❤
Means so much 😭😭❤️❤️
Alexa, if you'd like with the red gingham dress, you could always turn it into a two piece and add a zipper to the skirt or add a sinched part to the top, or just keep it as a dress as is, but alter the straps where you can sinch it in more that it'll fit you properly!
Your cat t-shirt is cute .
I think the two necklaces complimented all the outfits that you were provided. 👏
Seeing a brand new Sunday upload made my morning!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ hope you have a great rest of your day! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
That gold heart necklace/choker you were wearing is so pretty!
Do we know where she got it :(
@@SamanthaThrives
I do not, sadly

The red gingham dress could use some darting in the back and front to give more structure. Definitely keep it just have to get it tailored ❤
definitely agree with the comments saying to turn the gingham dress into a two piece set!
The white top is just to cute I love it and the slip is a easy fix, the red dress would be easy to fix and make fit you perfectly ❤ cute pieces😊
Ohhh I love the white blouse with the detailed gusset things and fancy collar 🤩
UR CAT SHIRT > ALL OF THE PIECES FR❤
I’ve been watching you for years, since I worked at a secondhand clothing store back in grad school and started getting into fashion/thrifting, and can I just say, your EYEBROW GAME is so strong omg. Just so gorgeous
Omg stop you’re too kind 😭❤️❤️
the low rise white skirt would look kinda cute peeking out of the sheer white dress!
A really nice video to watch! I love your mystery depop unbox videos!!❤
I think the lace crop top would be SO cute styled over a pink striped button up with some denim shorts and cowboy boots for a fun layering moment 😍
You should make yourself a little white, off white, or nude slip dress that you can wear under see through items. If you can sew a straight line, it is very easy to do and it will be so practical. Maybe even make a small cami and a mini slip skirt as well, just so your bases are covered.
Why are these my favourite videos of yours? So fun! 😋
so pretty the lace top is to die for omg :0
White skirt - just put new elastic! Easy cheap fix and gingham looks so cute on you! If you want to edit it maybe make it a two piece ?
Maybe she doesn't even need to put a new elastic. It looks like she could just shorten or taking in the elastic a little.
omg the gingham dress with a frilly-necked top underneath would be SO FREAKING CUTE
Happy Sunny Sunday! 🌞🌻✨💛 excited for a new Alexa video! 🫶🏻
A mystery box that actually works for you is a rare gem. You could add extra fabric to the sides of the gingam dress if you don't like bodycon.
Wow, this haul is really great!
Everything is so good!! For the white lace top, you could try with that red bra you got at the estate sale? Idk if that would work or not lol
But they did a great job nailing your style!

I absolutely love that baby tee with the black floral skirt!
Love the red gingham dress on you. The length is very chic. Just get those armholes tailored. I have the same issue-wider hips and smaller ribcage.
I'd put the lace top over a solid black baby tee for maximum contrast!
Overall, lots of great pieces and styling!
for now without alterations, I could definitley see the gingham dress still working with a vest or corset to cinch it in more at the top
with the red gingham i think you should make a two piece; with the top as a scruched up tube top with bow straps and a mini skirt on the bottom omg alexa ya have tooooooo

The white dress is sooo good

it's raining and night where i live, but now it's sunshine all over
I would add darts to the gingham piece OR cut it in two and make it a set ❤
I would almost think they are subscribed to you. They more than nailed it 👍
Okay but a chunk white sweater under the gingham dress would be so cute!
15:55 autumn wanna go out 😂
Turning the Red Gingham dress into a 2 piece would be a SLAY 🔥
Try wearing the white slip skirt under the white dress!

The gingham length is ideal - especially for a vintage look. Please don't hem it! Lol just take it in under the arms then it'll be sexily perfect!! 😉
I need to go shopping with you fr you always find the cutest stuff
Just add a red heart belt to the red and white dress and if you can fine a red or pink cropped kean jacket would go great over it to cover the lose shoulders
Get the red gingham dress altered as a dress or make into a two piece outfit.
Please take the red gingham dress to a tailor/ seamstress. Has so much potential!!
This was a super cute haul!
I’d wear that white see through dress with a black high neck top, black stockings and some boots 😊. I think the seller did really though and you got your moneys worth.
Would be so cute if you cute the gingham dress into a cropped top and skirt set ❤
I would turn the gingham dress into two pieces. It would be so cute cropped and then make the bottom half a skirt.

You should make the red gingham dress into a 2 piece set!!!
The gingham dress might make a cute 2 piece outfit
The gingham would be great as a two piece set
I vote 2 piece set for the red dress!
Very cute pieces, glad you had luck with the box😊 I just came here to say that maybe you's want to shorten the elastic in the waist of the skirt instead of taking in the fabrick, because taking it in might mess with the silhouette.
Make a 2 piece (skirt and crop top) from the red gingham!
Hi Alexa happy Monday morning and happy weekend and happy 4th of July Independence day and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
omg thank you for explaining the "21 and over" thing on their website because it didn't have a $ next to it and i was like... these items are only for sale to those 21 and older???
14:17 would love a thrift flip video!!
Make the gingham into a set that would be cute
I'd cut the red dress in half and make a set that would be so cute ❤
Red gingham dress, I was thinking make it a crop top and skirt co ord?? 😊
I think the lace top would look cool over or under the white dress, then you'd get double ruffley straps!
